Great
AAnonymous UserThe hostel is a welcome respite from the chaos of Cairo. Note that there are two floors, 1 and 4, but are connected by a vintage elevator as well as a stairwell. Breakfast provided each day was sincerely appreciated and delicious, made fresh for each person. The beds are comfortable and equipped with a small light and a power outlet to charge your devices. There is a common area to hang out with others and meet people. Some of the fittings are broken in the bathrooms but you will get by fine.
MM31216****I stayed in Egypt for a week by myself, so I didn't book a five-star hotel. From a 100-pound Airbnb to a 700-pound hotel, only this one and the 700-pound hotel had working air conditioning/heating, and the room cleanliness was among the top two 😥.
The downside is that this is more like renting out a private residence (the owner lives there too), and the apartment building and surrounding environment are quite poor, so you'll have to weigh the value for money yourself. For solo female travelers, I'd definitely recommend a hotel instead.
Also, I have to complain about the menu pricing. The same bottle of water costs 6 EGP (less than 1 RMB) at the downstairs supermarket. It's typical of places that charge domestic hotel prices without providing domestic hotel service quality.
GGuest UserThis Chinese-run hotel is very recommended, five-star praise. The owner is attentive and thoughtful. The whole hotel environment is particularly good, clean and hygienic, the room is big enough, it is very rare to live in such a large and quiet and clean room in Egypt, and the price is very reasonable, as evidenced by the picture.
Passing by other rooms, I looked at it when the door was opened. The other rooms were also very clean, very tidy, and the room layout was very warm. We stayed here for two days, temporarily left for two or three days in the middle, and continued to come back later. I don't want to live in other hotels anymore.
It is especially recommended that Chinese compatriots who travel to Cairo must come to this hotel to live and feel at home.
IIrina BudkoA good hotel in central Cairo. Located on the 12th floor, there are elevators. Traffic noise is negligible. You can order breakfast or coffee from the rooftop café. My room (124) had a spacious balcony, a modern shower, a refrigerator, and a closet. The staff was helpful.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Cecilia Hostel!
The location is perfect, right in downtown Cairo and close to everything — museums, the Nile, restaurants, and public transportation. It made exploring the city very easy.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very cozy. Breakfast was simple but fresh and enough to start the day well.
What truly made the experience special was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always smiling, ready to assist with tours, directions, and recommendations.
Great value for money. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is excellent. The Egyptian Museum is near by and most tourist attractions are close. The facilities are decent for the price, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice. Regarding the bathroom, hot water is readily available, and amenities are plentiful. However, the roadside location makes it noisy, even at night. While it's called a hostel, it offers private bathrooms and is comparable to 3-star hotels. Overall, I was very satisfied.
SSara DindarWe had a very good stay overall. Considering Cairo standards, the apartment was clean enough and comfortable. The neighborhood and location were excellent, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby.
It’s also very close to the Nile—about a 7-minute walk. There are restaurants on boats along the river where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the view, and you can even go on a Nile cruise from the same area. Honestly, we didn’t need to take a taxi at all for dining or cafés. There’s also a really nice café right at the corner with excellent coffee—I highly recommend it.
The building itself was very quiet, and we didn’t hear any noise from neighbors at all. The only noise was from traffic on the street (cars and motorbikes), which is normal and not really a downside of the apartment.
The building had a security guard, and we were even able to leave our luggage with him after check-out, which made it much easier for us to explore the city before our flight.
Finally, special thanks to Michael, the host. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. No matter what time we messaged him, he always responded and guided us with any questions we had.
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite close to the Egyptian museum,
The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly
I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them
** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice
