Outstanding
AAlhadadHistoric bank on the outside, sophisticated boutique hotel on the inside, a brilliant merge!
Despite its location being right in the bustling heart of Cairo, with many cafes & shops all around, the building is tucked into a little street with less traffic, so the noise levels are lower. The hotel itself was unassuming from the outside (there was no signage that said ”Saint J Hotel”), but we were warmly greeted by the friendly hotel staff. The lobby was simple but had a lovely, refreshing scent - a nice touch.
The rooms were spacious, beautifully-designed & well-equipped with everything we needed & more. Our mother had so much fun cooking a bit of breakfast for the family daily. The beds were so comfortable. The bathrooms were such a delight - super strong rain shower, it was heavenly! There was a washer (with laundry detergent provided) in each room too, which was very handy.
Just two things that needs to be improved:
1. Install sheer curtains behind the thick curtains so that guests can let natural light in without worrying about privacy
2. Install hooks or towel bars in the bathroom for guests to hang towels
All in all, we were so happy we stayed here!
GGuest UserWe would definitely come back again! We have enjoyed staying at Salam 275 hotel during our visit to Cairo. The room we booked was exactly as it’s described online, the stuff are very nice and respectful and they go above and beyond to help their gusts with everything they need
And specially MOHEMADE RIFAD who work at the front desk is a supper genuine, very special nice man! The first night we checked in at their hotel, we did not have any Egyptian currency yet to purchase anything, and thus, he went ahead and paid for all of our meal from his own money… (and offer to help if theirs anything else that we need) and we returned his money to him the next day.
They assisted us with everything we need at the hotel and or outside, directing us touring the city, places to go and even find us the honest taxi drivers that we can use. We appreciate their hospitality
GGuest UserThe hotel is perfect clean and staff is brilliant and it is in khan khaleel right next to the hassan mosque and plenty of other mosque s around and popular area for shopping and dining every thing is clean you have kettle and tea and coffee what u can make ur self it is good price and I have extendied my stay for 2 days because of the hospitality of the hotel and with it been cleaned and with it been in a popular area and a budget you cant go wrong .
SSo MiyagawaVery great place!! So nice and gorgeous furniture!! Staff is very kind and great on international standard level. I really recommend this place!!
XXINLAN1. The location is good, within walking distance to the Egyptian Museum, subway, and kazaz, which is a 1.3km walk from gobus tahir station, which is very downtown.
2. The hotel has an elevator, which is very rare. I have stayed in a nearby hotel which is also located in an old house. There is no elevator and I need to carry my luggage. The elevator is not big enough to accommodate about 4 people (without luggage), but it is much better than climbing stairs by yourself.
3. There is one triple room and one double room. The triple room is quite spacious and the standard room is not large enough.
4. There is no hot water kettle or hair dryer in the room, you can ask for it at the front desk, but the number of these two items in the entire hotel is limited, so I waited for a long time...
5. It’s more cost-effective to pay in US dollars than in Egyptian pounds. The exchange rate for paying Egyptian pounds is not so good.
6. Breakfast starts at 8:00. If you want to go to the Black and White Desert, the driver usually picks up at 7:30. If you don’t have time to eat breakfast, you can go to the rooftop restaurant to pack some (the restaurant is still preparing breakfast at 7:30, and the things that can be packed are limited. Eggs, bread, flatbread, jam, that’s all)
WWilleonShould improve the entrance. Quite difficult to locate. When I found the entrance, there were some wild dogs gathering in front of the entrance.
Staff should be in uniform. Look more professional. I did not feel some welcoming at the reception. But they still allow me for early check in. Appreciated that. Not a good impression.
Room seems quite new. But remember to bring your owe toothpaste and toothbrush. Its seem common in Egypt that all the accommodations doesn’t provide with them.
GGuest UserYou can specify breakfast time. You can request what you want to eat from here. You must ask for room cleaning such as changing bath towels and throwing away garbage from here. It was good that the room did not need to change the plug. The location is on the 5th floor with a hotel sign at the entrance, but it is only when you do not take the elevator. Be careful of the elevator. When you rise, there is no door so don't be sandwiched. Within 10 minutes walk from the Archaeological Museum, the Koshari is delicious, the store with a lot of customers is a 5-minute walk, and the Tarihar Square and subway station are within a 15-minute walk, so there is no problem with the location. It is better to avoid walking late at night because there are many stray dogs, drunken and wanderers.
FF0.97Every thing was okay and really good compared to the money that you paying but in the night I can’t tell where is my hotel just you need more light. Thank you
