"This hotels location is great. It's near to everything.
I walked to the main tourist attractions.
The hotel room was great. I was expecting a single room, but I got a double, always a bonus.
The room is a little dated, but I quite liked that. It took me back to when I was a child going down the working man's club with my parents 🤣 keeping it retro , love it!
The room had everything I needed. It was clean and light (even had shutters and blacked out curtains, which made the room dark).
The staff were helpful & polite, which is all I ask for.
The only negatives were the tram line (which could be quite loud and rumble at times) & the hotel tax; they wanted it in cash/euros I didn't have any euros as I didn't think I'd need them, thinking I could pay with everything by card.
Other than that, a great stay in Rome."

Great
GGuest UserFantastic stay at Villa Aurora rooms whilst I was in Rome.
My room was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. Fully functional air conditioning (rather than those temperamental units in other places) really was a joy to come back to during the heat of a Rome summer.
But so far, I've just commented on some features of the room, rather than my experience here.
What will endure in my memory as I look back was the warm, classically no-nonsense Italian hospitality I had from Donatella.
Throughout my time here, she made sure I was well looked after with room cleaning, bottled water, towels etc.
But I most appreciate her assistance in terms of local knowledge. Local knowledge such as a good seafood restaurant , ”Trattoria del pesce” just down the road (which happens to also be in the Michelin guide); such as to not miss out on the Baths of Caracalla; and perhaps more trivially, but arguably also essential, where to do my laundry!
Thank you so much for making my stay here such a pleasure Donatella, and for adding both a new Italian word and outlook to my vocabulary - ”tranquilo”.
GGuest UserThe environment is very good! Whether it is the surrounding or indoor!
And the staff are very nice!
And it is very comfortable and the space is large!

GGuest UserCleanliness: When lying on the bottom bunk, I noticed the underside of the top bunk wasn't very clean; however, the bathroom was spotless.
Facilities: The mattress was made of faux leather, which made a lot of noise when I moved, disturbing my sleep.
Environment: It's alright, located near a city bus stop.
Service: Service was okay. I had to pay a deposit to borrow a hairdryer, but I could use one in the restroom on the first floor. Breakfast cost 12 euros.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is good, 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum, walking distance from the main attractions, the furthest is about 20 minutes. Go to the Vatican and take the subway in Republica. There are many restaurants around, and there is a CONAD supermarket diagonally opposite, which is convenient for shopping. The hotel is a bit old, not many European hotels are used to it, don't compare with domestic star hotels. The elevator is particularly old, unless there is luggage to sit. The room is large and there is a balcony. Health is not bad. The service is very good, the front desk brother will recommend many restaurants, and any questions will be answered in seconds.
MMooo12Broken shower. It’s working but it is sliding down. You can put it steady coz it keeps going down. You have to go down o hold the shower so it can reach your head. Okay for a night stay. There’s a restaurant if you want a quick bite. Good thing is there is a ticket machine for going to the center.
RRam HitheshThis was the best stay we had in the last 10 days trip in Italy. Starting with their instructions for our late night check-in which was super clear and well guided by the sticky notes on the entrance till we reached our room. They even offered water and coffee at their bar which was lacking in any other hotels we stayed in Italy. The next day the receptionist guided us the whole city with tourist recommendations and restaurants. The rooms were extremely well maintained and the staff are friendly. We totally recommend this hotel as the location is perfectly convenient to central railway station and also to all the tourist attractions within 2kms.

MMaria MDWe stayed as a family in a premium bungalow, it is very clean and well equipped. Im honestly really impressed how clean it is. All the linen, towels, duvet are spotless. There is a dishwasher, but we didnt have a dishwasher cleaning tablets, so we couldn’t use it. There is a bbq, we didnt use it either.
The pools amenities are fantastic and really clean. There are a few eateries, a shop, a laundry. Our location was far from the pool and playgrounds, the closer units might be challenging to stay in with kids, there is a lot happening and it is loud late in the evening. Overall we really enjoyed it and kids loved it. We didnt need the shuttle bus, so cant comment on it.
The only thing is that after a checkout I entered a shop to buy something and kept my credit card in my pocket, when I wanted to pay at a cashier, my card disappeared. I searched the small shop in case it fell out but no success. So I guess you have to be careful.
Kkat.tripsIt was a great stay here at Hotel Lodi. My partner and I are used to simple and modest places as we've been traveling across Europe so Hotel Lodi was everything we were looking for. The en suite was clean and came with good amenities like soap, body wash, and shampoo. And our room had a TV so we were able to relax and enjoy a show together every night. The Italian guy at the desk was super nice and funny. If you go there with a kind attitude, you'll surely receive the energy back. A few notes, I don't think there's an elevator there so this might not be great for people traveling with a ton of luggage. However my partner and I only had a large backpack each so it was good for us to make it up and down the stairs. Another fun thing to do get around town is the Lime Bikes all around the neighborhood. There were lots around Hotel Lodi it made the slightly inconvenient area of stay way more convenient.
GGuest UserThe location is spot on! It’s not far to walk to anywhere from this hotel, there are many cafes and restaurants around so easy to find a lovely evening meal.
The breakfast was simple but I enjoy that. There was fruit, eggs, pastries, bread, coffee and juice laid out each morning.
The room is very basic and small. I understand that the pictures online and the rooms can vary, but this was very different to what we thought we had booked online. The balcony is very small and just a simple view of the nearby roofs. But the bed was extremely comfortable, I had a great nights sleep every night.
The reception staff were helpful with everything and gave us great advise about travelling around Rome.
This was a great place to stay if you’re only using to the room sleep.

AAXIS1939The hotel is quite close to Termini Station, making it a good base for sightseeing in Rome, but the hotel is in a back alley, so it can be quite unsafe, especially at night. Also, there is no elevator, so it was difficult to carry heavy luggage up to the second floor.
