3-Star Hotels in Basel

On the first night, due to flight delays, no one was on duty and no one answered the phone, so I had to find another hotel to check in. Although I contacted Trip , the hotel made a refund the next day. The first time I encountered it, especially when the journey was tired and unfamiliar in the middle of the night, it was uncomfortable and uneasy.

Das Zimmer war modern und geräumig. Das Hotel ist z.Z. im Umbau. Manche Räume z.B. der Eingang/Essbereich sind provisorisch. Das ist in Ordnung, aber für den Zimmerpreis, der aufgerufen wird im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sportlich, da es nicht wie ein gehobenes Hotel, sondern wie ein Hostel wirkt. Wir konnten unser Fenster auf dem Zimmer nicht öffnen und der Raum war extrem warm und stickig. Wir vermissten auch einen Kühlschrank. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet und man erreicht mit der Tram direkt vor dem Hotel in wenigen Stationen das Zentrum. Das Frühstück war extrem hochwertig und sehr zu empfehlen. Das Hotel ist außerdem sehr Kinder- und Hundefreundlich, was uns gut gefallen hat. Optimal war der Garagenparkplatz direkt unter dem Hotel.

The overall traffic at Basel Motel is very convenient. The in-house guests also have a free free city bus ticket for Basel for everyone to use. The hotel is a church, there is time to go shopping, there are many businesses and restaurants attached.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Basel card is very useful as well to get into any transportation for free. Most importantly, the hotel is next to train and main tram station so it’s very convenient to go anywhere.

Comfortable room with fan provided. Hotel was a quick tram ride away from the main station. The pillows were very soft however; I was a solo traveller and able to take one more from the other bed, but others might not be able to do this.

Breakfast was average. The hotel is conveniently located just across the train station (SBB), within a ten-minute walk to the old town such as the cathedral, town hall, and Art Basel, history museum, etc. Trams 2 and 8 are available. But because it is self-check-in, that is, you have to check in on the machine and get the room card after you arrive at the store. It will be a little trouble for those who do not know the operation and language.

Pros: ✔ Clean, high-quality bed linen and towels. Cons: ❌ The apartment reeked of cigarette smoke, it seems previous guests smoked everywhere, despite strict no-smoking policy. This was very unpleasant.

The hotel was generally better than it was on the pictures it was very cool. It was a hard contact with the hotel owner because we didn't get access to BaselCard. The room is generally very clean and large and I am as happy as possible but the contact and the fact that you can enter and you have to leave without any concessions is not the best.

Nice easy check in compact room perfect for a couple of nights

Very nice and very cool place to be neatly located and quiet environment i will highly visit again and recommend it.
