3-Star Hotels in Yogyakarta

I had a very enjoyable stay at Greenhost Boutique Hotel in Yogyakarta. What stands out most is its genuine commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices, which are thoughtfully integrated throughout the property. The hotel's green concept creates a unique and refreshing atmosphere that sets it apart from typical accommodations. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also appreciated the breakfast spread, which offered a good variety of options, including fresh vegetables grown in the hotel's own rooftop garden. It was great to see their sustainability efforts reflected directly in the dining experience. The only minor drawback was the presence of some mosquitoes in the open-air areas during the evening, which is understandable given the lush greenery and outdoor spaces. Overall, this was a small issue compared to the hotel's many strengths. I would happily recommend Greenhost Boutique Hotel to travelers looking for a comfortable stay with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.

The hostel is located at a good location but some of the amenities can be improved for example blanket in the dorms. Also the hostel charges extra to keep bags after check out if you are hanging out. But overall it is a nice budget hostel.

The room was really great! 👍 Big plus for me that the bathroom wasn't cramped either! 👍 Overall, everything was good. 👍 In the evening, they even called to offer dinner or room service. 👍

This is amazing hotel for its price. First of all, the room is sufficiently big. The bed is comfy, and you got 4 pillows. Amenities are complete. You even got the premium glass water bottle. The room and hotel style is matching the Keraton style, so you got the Yogyakarta vibe upon staying , and this is very nice. The TV is loaded with Netflix, HBO, Prime, Disney+, and other local channels. Cabinet is surprisingly clean, despite its classic retro style looks. The hotel is right downtown, so it is near to go amywhere. Next to it there is a cafe, so I can get coffee and cake with ease. Plenty food to select on gofood nearby the hotel. It has car park. The hotel doesn’t have so many rooms, so it felt like very private, quiet, and comfortable. The best part is their staffs’ warm welcome and high quality service level. When I book the hotel, I made a mistake regarding the date (I think the app automatically changed to next week if I am booking it next day or something). So I ended up book for the following week. The app said this hotel is non-refundable and cannot adjust the check in time. I contacted the hotel directly and they are EXTREMELY nice and very accommodating. Despite the rules of non changing from the platform, they bypass the system and allow me to change to the date I plan to visit. So far, I only encounter this level of flexibility and assistance only when I was staying in a high end 5-stars hotel. Therefore, big thumbs up for the hotel management! 👍👍👍

location is good, if you love walking, then you can walk to Malioboro.. and you may find lots of food (street food or restaurant such as Hokben and Richeese) nearby by walking. in front of hotel, you can easily find convenience store indomart or alfamart. but this hotel so strict (how come?!) you must check in after 2pm, i was arrive 1pm and they just offer to keep our luggage and we need to go somewhere, even we were checked out at 6am for morning train. hotel can provide box breakfast with simple meal such as fried rice/noodle with egg, a cup of fruit (watermelon & papaya) and a bottle of water. when entering the room, so many hairs on the floor, like it never been swept, but too tired to ask house keeping to clean and no more wait anymore (sorry forget to take a photo, you may see it under the desk and surrounding). hotel provide water dispenser, so you can easily take by jug in your room.

I recently stayed at favehotel Jogjakarta and found it to be a convenient choice, especially due to its location near Malioboro, making it easy to explore the city's main attractions. The hotel offers a decent breakfast, though the selection is somewhat limited. Cleanliness is generally acceptable, and the rooms, while a bit small, are still comfortable for a short stay. However, the bathroom could use more thorough cleaning to eliminate any lingering odors—perhaps adding air fresheners or incense would help improve the experience. Overall, it's a reasonable option for travelers looking for a budget-friendly stay in a strategic location.

Very close to Yogyakarta train station and Malioboro. Breakfast is good. The room is very tiny so no space for big luggages. The worst thing is the room doesn't have soundproofing so we can hear the train sound all night (& all day) and the street & vehicles noises outside. I stayed for 2 nights and as a light sleeper I could not sleep for the whole 2 nights due to the outside noises.

I got I room with Meraki view 😍 so beautiful in the morning. The hotel is clean and food is also delicious employs are nice. This hotel is recommended 👌

the room is clean. The bathroom and toilet are separated so it's clean. the bath water drain is a bit small,so the bath water is still stagnant,but it is still safe. the head pillow is very high,so it is not comfortable to wear to sleep,so during the stay,i don’t use a pillow. The concept of a room in the middle of the ceiling is good, only for those who are sensitive to the noise of mice running around, which is very disturbing, but it is still good, only when at night, the sound of mice on the horn is very annoying ...
