We love the location of this Hotel. Easy to walk to the nearest shopping areas. Breakfast spread is good although this is within the fasting period. Only one small comment is the Bathing room is very slippery when showering. I slipped and fall while bathing, lucky that I didn't knock on to the glass panel or the wall. Suggest to have bathing mat at the showering point.
Overall for my friends and I are very satisfy with the stay at Harper Hotel.

KIM.SHThe location is not far from Malioboro. However, due to the traffic, it's difficult to walk, so it takes about a five-minute Grab ride.
The lobby staff are friendly, and the breakfast spread is good with plenty of options.
As for the room condition, the showerhead was a bit problematic, and in my room, I found some small ants. Luckily, they didn't reach the bedroom, but it's something to keep in mind if you're staying at the Suite Residence.

Hsu NadiaHad to switch room, due to noisy kids running, jumping, screaming and crying, then you hear mom talking out loud and shouting, all the way till 12am, at 6:30am there awake and the whole story starts again…
the second room was at the corner but the neighbor water pressure system seems to be installed right in between the wall on my bed, praying the whole night he can end up showering. It’s not the employees fault, the front desk lady. Camel did her best but overall the employees english was poor so it was hard to communicate. Plus, this is othe only hotel that doesn’t has a adaptor to borrow.
The breakfast is decent and the waiter is always smiling and energetic. The location was okay with laundry, restaurants, local warungs nearby.
Btw, having breakfast beside the management of the hotel helding their daily meeting was quite funny, when the meeting finishes the managers would greet you while cooking their own eggs at the station, hilarious experience.

Very trendy, cool hotel, I especially loved the restaurant on the ground floor. Very good quality and cheap dishes. The room quite ok, but my window had no view - facing a wall of another building, and a bit of mold in the shower soap holder corners. To sum up, I really enjoined my stay, they even had a lion dance show for the Chinese New Year.

Guest UserThis is my first time leaving such an angry review on Trip.com.
First, the pros: The location is excellent, very close to the bustling Malioboro Street, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are good, and it even includes a microwave and a refrigerator.
Now for the cons: Trip.com showed a king-size smoking room, but at check-in, I was told only twin rooms were available for smoking. The front desk staff then offered to switch me to a twin room. The prices for these two room types are completely different, which is essentially false advertising and deceptive to consumers. Furthermore, the room only had tea bags, no coffee. This is the first time I've ever stayed at a hotel that didn't provide coffee, which made for a very poor experience.

Anonymous UserI stayed for 3 nights for sightseeing. The room was spacious and clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were all very kind, and their polite and warm service left a strong impression. The location is also good, with cafes nearby which is convenient. Getting to Malioboro is also smooth if you use the bus. Furthermore, the drinks provided in the lobby were delicious, a small but welcome touch. I think it's amazing to be able to stay in a hotel of this quality for this price. If I have the opportunity to visit Yogyakarta again, I would definitely like to stay here.

Bee_❤️If you’re planning a Jogja trip from Jakarta, skip the flight stress and take the train instead — around 7 hours - but no airport queues, no long drive to the terminal, no trek from the airport into the city centre after. Just watch the country roll by and step off right in Jogja.
Location is everything here. eL Hotel Yogyakarta Malioboro is about a 12-minute walk from the train station (18 minutes by car, thanks to the one-way system), and literally one minute’s walk to Malioboro Street itself — so shopping, food, and street life are right on your doorstep. Bonus: it’s also only 15 minutes on foot to Beringharjo, the famous batik market, if you’re after souvenirs or fabric.
What you get: a clean, comfortable 4-star stay with genuinely helpful staff. There’s a pool, though it’s shaded — lovely for a cool dip, not so much if you’re after a sunbathing session. The spa keeps it simple with paid massages only.
Perfect if your Jogja trip is about sleeping well, staying central, and being close enough to everything to just walk out the door and explore.

Guest UserA stunning collection of traditional decorative pieces, and the corridors always smell amazing. The service and breakfast were excellent—even with some communication challenges, the staff really tried their best. The dinner buffet isn’t recommended as the variety is quite limited. The location is fantastic, right in the city centre. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed there for 4 nights. Spacious room and good bathroom facilities. Delicious breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Friendly and attentive staff. They were very considerate and helpful (I often used a crutch when walking). Lovely swimming pool, just a shame there are so few sun loungers in the shade.

クスヌルBecause it's hot in Jogja, I really wanted to shower from head to toe the moment I arrived at the hotel, but there was no hairdryer provided. I was afraid my hair wouldn't dry if I showered at night, and I wouldn't have time to dry it if I showered in the morning.
