Great
GGuest UserI visited for a baseball game.
It was my first time in Hiroshima, so I chose this hotel based on its vibe. It's within walking distance of the restaurant district known as 'Ekimae West.' It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Mazda Stadium, but it's definitely within walking distance. I also walked to Nagarekawa (or Nagarekawa?), the downtown entertainment area. I think it's a perfect location for sightseeing, no matter where you're going. There seems to be a path connected to the underground passage, but I couldn't figure it out until the end.
The staff were very polite and helpful with all my questions, which left a great impression. They even held my luggage after the baseball game, so it was a well-thought-out and convenient location. The room was, of course, clean. There was also a welcome coffee station, and the hotel itself was calm and not rushed. Including the cost-performance, I'd give it a 100/100. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
KKhabibov IlnurGreat room. It was clean and cozy. The staff were polite and friendly. Free coffee from a machine is available at the front desk. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located right next door. The room doesn't have wardrobes or much space for large suitcases, but it's perfectly fine for travelers with smaller luggage. The hotel offers two washing machines and two dryers; however, expect queues in the evenings, so doing laundry in the morning or afternoon is recommended. Overall, I have wonderful memories of my stay.
TTouravelholicGood location, near to the coin car parking because no car parking available in the hotel. This is a perfect place for family, the hotel is so comfy and wide. we enjoyed so much and for sure we will come back again.
CChong Ee JayEnjoyed my two nights stay here which was about a 7-8 minutes walk from the Hiroshima station. Staff were very hospitable and there was basic room cleaning services daily.
Was surprised that the hotel offered free breakfast that was very substantial - Onigiri of different flavours, miso soup, salad, bread and coffee too!
There’s also two Landry machines and dryers at level 1 for use. Else there are two laundromats within 5 min walking distance from the hotel for consideration.
From Hiroshima station, you can easily access the tram rides to head to the Atomic Bomb Peace memorial site as well as Hiroshima castle.
Or you can take a train ride to the Miyajima ferry terminal to have day’s expedition to Miyajima island!
DDr.p3pp3rThe location of this hotel is excellent. It’s right next to Peace Memorial Park, directly behind the museum, in a quiet and pleasant area. It’s about a 3–5 minute walk from the tram stop and around 5 minutes to the main shopping street. If you get this hotel at a good price and only plan a short stay focused on the Peace Park, the location is definitely a plus.
The room itself, however, was extremely small. Seating was uncomfortable — only a small stool with no back, and in my case the screws were sticking out, making it unsafe and unpleasant to use. You are basically either on the bed or out of the room.
The biggest issue was severe condensation and dampness. The room had extreme moisture problems — water running down the walls and windows, and the bed and floor becoming damp overnight. I woke up with wet feet and later realised why. This is not normal condensation; it was excessive and clearly an ongoing issue. I raised this with the front desk when checking out, but it was brushed off. After contacting Trip.com with photos and videos, the hotel refused responsibility once I had checked out. Trip.com eventually offered partial compensation, but the hotel itself showed no accountability.
Because of this, I would not stay here again. I am not overly picky with hotels, but a damp room that can make guests sick is unacceptable.
Also, I do not recommend the breakfast. You receive a very small bento box with unclear contents and a bottled tea. For the price, you are far better off going to a nearby convenience store like Lawson.
Overall: great location, but poor room conditions and lack of responsibility from the hotel. There are better options in this area.
MMarius ZEasy to reach on foot from the Hiroshima train station and easy to go anywhere, there’s nearby tram line 2 which can take you to Miyajima ferry terminal or the A Bomb dome. The check in was a bit chaotic as the check in machines had some technical issue, but the staff was kind and tried their best to solve. They let in the room without a key card and then brought key cards within an hour to the room. My room was spacious for Japan standards and quite nice bathroom. Breakfast was included and was a decent selection of Japanese and western food. Though the juices tasted very cheap - from a concentrate. Anyway, the rest was good and they even offer free coffee till noon.
GGuest UserWe got to the hotel around 10:30am after checking out of the hotel on the Riverside. It was raining so we wanted to stay indoors so the hotel staff helped to take the luggage so that we could get our lunch outside. After finishing our lunch, we still had a lot of time left before the check-in time but since it was raining, we just stayed inside the lobby using wifi. We got the room on the 5th floor even when we requested to get the high floor since the hotel was fully booked. We were so tired when we got inside the room so we freshened up but the noise from upstairs was pretty bad. We didn't mind the noise at first but it kept on continuing throughout the night. I woke up around 2am because of the loud noise, thumping sound like someone walking but who would do that at that time. It also happened early in the morning. We had another 4 night booking at the same hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is easily accessible by foot and surprisingly a big hotel with escalators (easy for travellers with luggage) and a big hotel lobby (considering that it is a business hotel in Japan). Stayed as a family of 3 (with a child). The room was fine with 2 beds but no space for big luggage. We actually paid extra at the Front Desk for my child to stay together but was disappointed that it does not come with an extra bathroom towel nor room slippers. I asked for 1 more pillow and was rejected too. But one of the male staff at the Front Desk was extremely helpful which was a bonus. He gave a suggestion in passing me 2 blankets which I can stack them and use as a pillow. We liked the view from our room too. We are able to see the the busy train tracks with Shinkansen and cargo trains. The stay comes with breakfast and dinner too. Overall, it was a great stay. Thank you.
LlkjidmThis was my second stay at a Livemax hotel, and it was excellent once again! This time, I chose the branch located in Funairi-machi.
The location is superb, conveniently close to both Funairi-machi Station (Line 6) and Komachi Station (Line 2). The surrounding area offers plenty of dining options, parks, beautiful river views, and even drugstores.
The service was good, and the facilities were comprehensive. I especially appreciated the large TV, which made for a very comfortable viewing experience.
The only minor drawback was that the duvet had a somewhat strange texture and wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. Aside from that, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. It's truly an unbeatable choice for anyone visiting Hiroshima!
GGuest UserI had a great stay at this hostel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was perfect It felt relaxed from the moment I arrived. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers!
