Amazing
SsmilinglilwenThis must be the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in Japan. It is a traditional Ryokan with 3 Private Onsen available for reservation upon arrival. The scenery and ambience around the hotel were peaceful & very gorgeous. The mountain view from our room was fantastic. Besides, it took less than 10 mins walking distance to the famous Kinrik Lake! 😌🎐 Each guest could pick a 👘 for free too. The services was great and the staffs were attentive too.
We stored all our biggest luggages at Yufuin Station and only brought along light luggage because it is far away from station. Gentle reminder for the guest to book a taxi at least one day earlier before your departure. By the way, it was a lucky morning when it started to snow during our ryokan checked out! It made the Ryokan looked even more amazing! ❄️
The only regret was breakfast and dinner were both unavailable during reservation and there is no ryokan contact was available before arrival. It would be 100% if I were to taste the すきやき, Sukiyaki! 🥩🍲
GGuest UserI stayed in this beautiful place with my mom. The house is spotless clean, room is spacious and beds are so comfy. Enjoy the view and feel relax with private indoor onsen (also outdoor onsen). The owners are kind and friendly. Breakfast is simple but delicious. Overall i love this place. Perfect for people who wants to relax in quite vibes.
The location is a bit far from the major tourist spots but not too far from the station. But it might not be suitable with the elder people because it takes around 10 mins walk to the house and also rooms are on the 2nd floor.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a prime location near Lake Kinrin, situated at the end of the Yunotsubo street, perfect for a quick stroll and rest.
The service is attentive and makes guests feel right at home. A private shuttle to Yufuin Station is provided on check-out day, allowing guests to enjoy sightseeing on their last day.
The hotel features three family-style baths, two of which are open-air baths, each offering 40 minutes of private time. We stayed in the Takasago Japanese-style Suite, which boasts both indoor and outdoor private onsen, ensuring excellent privacy.
Breakfast and dinner are served in private dining rooms, offering a diverse menu with different signature dishes each meal, such as Wagyu beef and houga-don.
Overall, the hotel exudes a nostalgic Japanese charm and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended! 👍
GGuest UserIt is far from Yufuin Station and you must take a car to get there. The hotel will provide pick-up and you can call them when you arrive at the station. The room is a bit old, but clean, and comes with a private open-air hot spring. The booking type includes the use of the family hot spring, but it's nothing special. Breakfast and dinner are both very rich, and the staff will come to the room to make the bed during dinner.
Finally, the staff was very friendly and the experience was great 👍
KKa YanA hot spring hotel with one night and two meals. It is very convenient to have a private hot spring in the room. The public bath is relatively small, but not crowded. There was no one there when I went there that morning, and I enjoyed the outdoor hot spring very comfortably. The room is in traditional Japanese style, very comfortable and hygienic. The staff does not speak English very well, but they will try their best to communicate with guests through mobile phone translation and other methods, so there is basically no problem.
The food was prepared carefully, but the dinner was not to my taste, but the breakfast was a surprise. There were free popsicles, hot spring eggs and beer. The location is far from the station, 20 minutes walk, but people usually go to Yufuin to visit Yunotsubo Street. If you walk from Yunotsubo Street, it is still okay to walk there in 10 minutes. The check-out time is 12 o'clock, which is good. After breakfast in the morning, you can go back to the room and enjoy the hot spring time in the morning before leaving.
Overall, it was a very satisfactory accommodation experience. I enjoyed the hot springs and will consider staying here again next time I visit Yufuin.
凌凌凌漆Here's a review of my stay:
1. **Location and Amenities: A Quiet Corner with Easy Access**
The hotel is conveniently located, about a 7 to 10-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station, making it easy to find while also being away from the busiest commercial areas. Right next door is a Lawson convenience store, and there's a supermarket nearby, which is super handy for anyone who likes to grab snacks and drinks in the evening.
2. **Hot Spring Facilities: Highly Private ”Kashikiri” Experience**
This is truly the highlight of the inn! There are 5 private family hot springs (private baths), including both indoor and outdoor options. No reservations are needed; you just check if the light at the entrance is off, and if so, it's free to use.
**Tech-Savvy Management:** Guests can scan a QR code with their phone to instantly check the real-time availability of each private bath, saving you a wasted trip.
**A Small Tip:** If you're staying in winter, the path to the outdoor baths and some outdoor showering areas can feel quite cold. If you're sensitive to cold, I recommend prioritizing private baths #1-3, which are indoors.
3. **Dining Experience: A Hearty Yakiniku Feast**
We opted for the half-board plan, and dinner was enjoyed at a partner yakiniku restaurant. The wagyu beef was excellent quality and incredibly generous in portion. There was even a bonus offer of unlimited alcoholic beverages and plum wine, making it fantastic value for money. The Japanese-style breakfast the next day was also very filling, providing a great start to our day.
4. **Unique Atmosphere: A Paradise for Animal Lovers**
The inn has very gentle cats and dogs living on the premises. If you're lucky, the resident cat manager might even appear in common areas or even come by your room for a patrol. For animal-loving travelers, this sense of warmth and comfort is something other hotels simply can't replicate.
5. **Accommodation Details and Recommendations**
**Room Space:** The new wing rooms are spacious, blending modern comfort with traditional Japanese aesthetics.
여여행미새It was so quiet and private, the hot springs were great, and the family hot springs were all great. I liked the food and the variety and composition were good. I want to come again next time.
根根伴鷹進Although the hotel is a bit old, it's exactly the style and feel I wanted: rustic decor, beautiful surroundings, a first-class private bath, and a great location—perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly plentiful. In short, it was fantastic, and I'll definitely come back.
BBUBMOONIt felt like I was in the mountains, with nothing around. However, the air was so fresh that it was perfect for a walk. The friendly Korean hosts made my stay comfortable, and dinner and breakfast were delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the large bath was small, so it felt crowded with four or five people, and if you go early in the morning, the water was cold. Although it was only a one-night stay, I had a good rest and returned.
