3-Star Hotels in Yufu

This is a traditional Japanese ryokan. It's conveniently located close to Lake Kinrin and the main street attractions, and the surrounding area is quiet and comfortable. Every staff member at the ryokan was incredibly friendly, and guests even received a small welcome gift, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the facilities were great, especially the smart toilet – a really nice feature, haha. They also offer wonderful hot spring baths within the ryokan. The common areas are spacious, with a kids' play area and free massage chairs – truly excellent!

We stayed one night in room 33 of the Takasago. The entire environment and the room itself were very clean, and there were no strange smells. My wife and daughter both loved it... The staff were all very polite and friendly, providing thoughtful and meticulous service. Although there was a language barrier, we were able to sort everything out using a translation app. It would be even better if there were some small Chinese information cards, like the ones in the room, as they only had English, Korean, and Japanese. All in all, our one-night stay here made our whole family very happy. Taiwan

Fukuoka is hotter than ever this year. After interacting with locals, I realized that although it was my first time to visit Fukuoka, it was easier and easier to get around than I imagined. I knew very early on that I wanted to include the suburbs and Yufuin in my itinerary, and I wanted to stay there for one night. I was debating whether I should soak in hot springs in the summer and find a suitable accommodation for one person, so I found this B&B. It’s true that it’s not close to the station with your luggage, and it’s a bit hard in the summer. You can soak in the outdoor hot springs in the summer, and watch the stars, which are hard to capture on your phone. I went there once in the morning and once in the evening. After putting up the sign, it became a private soup. I like the sound of creaking templates, the exquisite breakfast boxes, and buying small things near the front desk. The boss couple are very hospitable, attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast is delicious. I read the reviews and said I must order it, and I thought so too! Make sure to buy more snacks for dinner. Many shops on Yufuin Street close one after another at 5 pm local time. Plan your itinerary well. If you want to see more attractions, you can go to the nearby Beppu to see the hot springs together, or just chill in Yufuin. Very happy. When leaving, you can have your luggage delivered to the station. In this way, you can slowly walk to Jinlin Lake in your free time, and then eat slowly all the way back to the station hahahaha. Traveling is about experiencing❤

The ryokan was clean, tidy, and stylishly decorated, with a great sense of space. The window overlooked the river and mountains, and it was wonderfully relaxing to sit and enjoy tea while admiring the lush green peaks. I must commend Apple, the staff member, and Chef Junya San. We hadn't booked dinner at the ryokan, and the restaurant we planned to visit had run out of ingredients and couldn't serve us. Junya San and Apple went above and beyond to help us find a solution, and in the end, Junya San even drove us to a local eatery nearby. We are incredibly grateful to him! The ryokan's breakfast offered a wide variety of food, and the setting was equally comfortable! As for the hot springs, the ryokan has three private baths, perfect for families to enjoy a relaxing soak with plenty of privacy. We truly had a wonderful day here!

The room was smaller than I expected. Since you don't make a reservation for a ryokan, you just check in when one is available, which was nice because there was no waiting time. It was my first time staying at a ryokan, so I don't know what other places are like, but it felt like stepping into boiling water...!!! It was excessively hot haha. I rented an umbrella, and the dinner was delicious, but the food came out at a frustratingly slow pace for someone who likes to eat fast!!!

Facilities: A little old, very Japanese style, the room is a little small Hygiene: Very clean! Very clean! Environment: It is a hot spring hotel on the mountain, the environment is quite good, you can soak in the open-air hot spring in the room, it is perfect on snowy days Service: Very good, the boss and the waiter have a high level of English, barrier-free communication Breakfast and dinner are very rich, and the dishes will be introduced in English after serving. Since it is on the mountain, you can pick up and drop off back and forth, which is very good!

Although it's a little over a kilometer from the station, I highly recommend walking instead of taking a taxi, as the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful. Cherry blossoms, streams, small bridges, distant mountains, fields, and a mix of Western and Japanese-style houses create a very soothing atmosphere. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The lobby is grand, and the front desk staff are fluent in English and provide detailed information. On the top floor (4th floor), there's an observation onsen. The rooms are purely Japanese style, clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious, fully functional, and offer expansive views of beautiful scenery. There's also a restaurant in the lobby. Many restaurants in Yufuin's Yunotsubo Street and Floral Village close by 4 PM. Personally, I find this natural, unspoiled environment much more relaxing than those famous, trendy tourist spots.

Although the hotel is a bit old, it's exactly the style and feel I wanted: rustic decor, beautiful surroundings, a first-class private bath, and a great location—perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly plentiful. In short, it was fantastic, and I'll definitely come back.

Because we are international travellers we came with bigger luggage so it is hard to carry them up 3 floors without lift. The hotel make sure all has a chance to make a booking for a private onsen. There is also a time slot that is public so I get to use the onsen 2x which I really like. Location is near station which makes it easy to travel. There were many Dos and don’t conveyed during check in.

The accommodation is beautiful, the surrounding atmosphere is good, and there is an onsen hot spring to soak in. The food is delicious. **But what I am not very impressed with is the control of other service providers. Mostly, 99% on the day I stayed were Koreans who were not very polite. They did not know even the etiquette and rules of using the public hot spring. I am not sure if the owner of the accommodation has informed the rules of using the hot spring, which is something I cannot accept. They were loud, threw the earbuds on the floor, and were not orderly. They also wore shoes in the common area of the dressing room in the hot spring. I was very disappointed. It was a rather disappointing vacation, even though it should have been a good day for me. I lost the mood to soak in the atmosphere. I did not even have the heart to take pictures of the atmosphere with the accommodation.
