Yufu Hotels with Balcony

This was my first time staying at this onsen ryokan, and it was a fantastic experience! The ryokan is in a great location, very close to Lake Kinrin, making for an easy stroll. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the common areas were also beautifully designed. The biggest surprise was the private in-room onsen; it was much larger than I expected and incredibly relaxing. The food quality was excellent, and what was even more thoughtful was how attentive the staff were: they carefully checked beforehand to ensure there were no allergens in my food, which made me feel completely at ease. If I get the chance, I'll definitely stay here again!

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The environment is beautiful, and the kaiseki cuisine (two meals per night) is delicious and beautifully presented. The onsen (hot spring) is very comfortable; I recommend the public onsen for its even more beautiful view. The private onsen is a bit cramped.

The environment was great, the food was delicious, and everything was perfect. It was also a great way to enjoy the outdoor family hot springs with your partner or spouse. If the weather is nice in the evening, you can even see the stars.

This is a modern accommodation with state-of-the-art facilities in Yufuin. We stayed in a sauna room, and it was fantastic to have both an indoor hot spring bath and an outdoor sauna. The room was very spacious and clean, and the view of the bamboo forest from the living room was truly relaxing. There are two rooms on the second floor with three beds each; since it was just my family of four, we had plenty of space, but it would be ample enough for two families to stay as well. It is a place I would definitely want to stay at again if I visit.

The hotel is located in a rather remote area, making the entrance difficult to find. There's a campsite nearby called ”The Village,” accessible via a downhill path. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and well-maintained, with a washing machine, three bedrooms, and comfortable accommodations. Suitable for large groups of friends or families. The kitchen is well-equipped. Netflix is ​​a welcome addition, and the internet connection is stable. I would suggest providing garbage bags and increasing the capacity of the trash cans. Since there are no restaurants nearby, cooking generates a lot of garbage, and only small trash cans are provided, which is inconvenient. Overall, a good experience; I'll definitely come back!

This private hot spring villa was absolutely fantastic for both adults and kids alike! 👍 Before arrival, we received an email with our room number (and corresponding parking spot) and the room access code. Check-in was done smoothly via a machine after entering the room. The four-person room was incredibly spacious, cozy, and comfortable. It featured an outdoor balcony and a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher!). The fridge was stocked with plenty of drinks and alcoholic beverages. We brought groceries back from the supermarket in the evening to cook, and thoroughly enjoyed the very comfortable dining area. The highlight was the constant flow hot spring in our room (24-hour continuous water supply to the tub, with excess water naturally overflowing and draining). The kids immediately stripped down and jumped in as soon as we entered! There was also a sauna room inside, which everyone, both adults and children, absolutely loved. 👍

The villa is a very kind home, it feels warm when you enter the door, and the facilities are very clean. And the location is excellent, walking to Jinlin Lake in the morning is about 5 minutes away, you can enjoy the tranquility before the tour group arrives. The main hot spring street and restaurant are about 5 minutes walking distance, it is highly recommended to travel with parents and can go back to the room to rest. We had a very cold two nights in Yufuin and it was snowing! It was a great pleasure to enjoy the snow in the hot springs at home, but before we enjoyed it, we needed to muster the courage to accept the cold challenge for two or three minutes! Because the hot spring and bathing place are outside the house, you need to walk outside for 30 seconds to 1 minute. If you encounter snow and ice, you may really have to walk slowly. After walking to the cabin, you have to take off your clothes quickly. Then immediately enter the indoor hot spring area and start to wash and reply warm! The hot springs are comfortable, especially the indoor hot springs are very hot and the temperature can be adjusted. The outdoor hot springs may not be hot enough because the weather is cold. We have tried to adjust but it was unsuccessful. Overall it is a good experience, but it is too cold for parents. Usually, parents who like to have been soaking, but only once a day here, they all say it is too cold, although it is only a few minutes cold, it also needs a lot of courage! If you go to the outdoor aisle, the place to change clothes in the hot spring house, and the bathroom location in the villa  There should be a better experience with long-term constant temperature heating ! 

This boutique ryokan, featuring just 11 rooms, is situated a convenient 5-minute drive from Yufuin Station in a peaceful, rustic residential neighborhood. Our spacious, well-maintained ground-floor room featured a private onsen and offered excellent views of Mount Yufu. For those interested, the communal onsen can also be locked for private use and is kept very clean. The staff is accommodating and polite, and the breakfast and dinner provided in the dining area are outstanding. Complimentary parking is available, and the aromatic tea burner in the room was a very pleasant detail.

Love private indoor and outdoor onsen the most. Really relax and nice cute villa. Cozy and good quality of bed sheets/blankets. Only a couple points for improvement. No door code being provided in advance prior to the arrival date and I had to make a call in order to get the access code. I can’t find the light switch in the dining room. Later find out that it was a remote control to turn it on. No instruction. However, overall I like the house especially the private onsen.
