Amazing
AAnonymous UserGreat onsen experience. The package with half broad, meal was great. Also the room has indoor private onsen. Should try experience (but a bit pricy 😅)
GGuest UserThis was a wonderful stay. After a short tour of Yufuin, the shuttle service I'd requested arrived in front of Yufuin Station. We enjoyed welcome tea in the lounge and were then guided to our accommodation. Having a Korean guest made it even more comfortable. The accommodation was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. The fridge was free of charge, and the coffee was delicious. Think of it as a private, standalone pension. The bathroom and sink were separate, both spacious and comfortable. The hair dryer and curling iron were also provided, which was incredibly convenient. Usually, hotel hair dryers are weak and take a long time to dry, but this one was the best! The manager and staff were all friendly, and I went with my mom and was very satisfied. The photos don't show everything, but this was the best accommodation I've ever stayed in Japan. I'd love to go back with someone special!
GGuest UserAbsolutely loved this place. The staff were so so friendly and made me feel safe although I was a solo traveller. Loved the yukata you could wear around the hotel. The private onsen is first come first serve so make sure to book early at the reception! You must get the kaiseki dinner and breakfast. One of the best meals I had including the restaurants I’ve visited during my one month stay in Japan with incredible views of the mountain. An easy 15min walk from yufuin station/bus station even with my massive luggage especially with the scenic view on the way there. And less than 10min walk to floral village and kinrin lake! Thanks once again!!
凌凌凌漆Here's a review of my stay:
1. **Location and Amenities: A Quiet Corner with Easy Access**
The hotel is conveniently located, about a 7 to 10-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station, making it easy to find while also being away from the busiest commercial areas. Right next door is a Lawson convenience store, and there's a supermarket nearby, which is super handy for anyone who likes to grab snacks and drinks in the evening.
2. **Hot Spring Facilities: Highly Private ”Kashikiri” Experience**
This is truly the highlight of the inn! There are 5 private family hot springs (private baths), including both indoor and outdoor options. No reservations are needed; you just check if the light at the entrance is off, and if so, it's free to use.
**Tech-Savvy Management:** Guests can scan a QR code with their phone to instantly check the real-time availability of each private bath, saving you a wasted trip.
**A Small Tip:** If you're staying in winter, the path to the outdoor baths and some outdoor showering areas can feel quite cold. If you're sensitive to cold, I recommend prioritizing private baths #1-3, which are indoors.
3. **Dining Experience: A Hearty Yakiniku Feast**
We opted for the half-board plan, and dinner was enjoyed at a partner yakiniku restaurant. The wagyu beef was excellent quality and incredibly generous in portion. There was even a bonus offer of unlimited alcoholic beverages and plum wine, making it fantastic value for money. The Japanese-style breakfast the next day was also very filling, providing a great start to our day.
4. **Unique Atmosphere: A Paradise for Animal Lovers**
The inn has very gentle cats and dogs living on the premises. If you're lucky, the resident cat manager might even appear in common areas or even come by your room for a patrol. For animal-loving travelers, this sense of warmth and comfort is something other hotels simply can't replicate.
5. **Accommodation Details and Recommendations**
**Room Space:** The new wing rooms are spacious, blending modern comfort with traditional Japanese aesthetics.
GGuest UserIs a good experience, I liked the Japanese style of it, the location is good, away from the Main Street for around 5mins walking distance. There is a local supermarket near by.
staffs can’t speak other languages but Japanese we used Google translate which worked well. I stayed 2 nights, breakfast and dinner were very good too.
ブブリッピングI made a reservation for a weekday Monday after 7 PM, bought dinner at Aeon near Yufuin Station, and checked in. There are no shops around Country Road Youth Hostel, so I had to bring my own food. The hot spring was open 24 hours a day, but it seemed to be a free-flowing bath, so I wondered when they would clean the bathtub. The tiles in the washing area were slippery, and I nearly slipped and fell. At check-out, the host played Country Road on guitar, which was a delight. Amenities included a free towel and a 100-yen toothbrush. It was perfect for a room-only stay. I stayed there while touring, and the free, covered bicycle parking space for five cars was very convenient.
KKYUNGROKFirst of all, the staff were so kind that I felt really good the whole time I was staying at the accommodation. ㅎㅎ
I was worried that it would be too cold to sleep in the room that included a private hot spring, but I turned on the heater and slept so it was so hot that I slept with the window open. ㅎㅎ
根根伴鷹進Although the hotel is a bit old, it's exactly the style and feel I wanted: rustic decor, beautiful surroundings, a first-class private bath, and a great location—perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly plentiful. In short, it was fantastic, and I'll definitely come back.
GGuest UserThis hotel is nestled in the mountains, featuring terraced rice fields, which makes for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped; we chose a room type with an indoor onsen bath. The half-board (dinner and breakfast) meals were also good, and I recommend the Japanese-style breakfast. The baths include both indoor and outdoor options, and overall, everything was very comfortable. The only downside was that when we checked in at 4 PM, we were told that the shuttle service for the next day was fully booked, and we'd have to pay for a taxi ourselves (even though there were empty vehicles available). Despite this, I would still highly recommend Hoshino Resorts KAI Yufuin for an experience.
KKa YanA hot spring hotel with one night and two meals. It is very convenient to have a private hot spring in the room. The public bath is relatively small, but not crowded. There was no one there when I went there that morning, and I enjoyed the outdoor hot spring very comfortably. The room is in traditional Japanese style, very comfortable and hygienic. The staff does not speak English very well, but they will try their best to communicate with guests through mobile phone translation and other methods, so there is basically no problem.
The food was prepared carefully, but the dinner was not to my taste, but the breakfast was a surprise. There were free popsicles, hot spring eggs and beer. The location is far from the station, 20 minutes walk, but people usually go to Yufuin to visit Yunotsubo Street. If you walk from Yunotsubo Street, it is still okay to walk there in 10 minutes. The check-out time is 12 o'clock, which is good. After breakfast in the morning, you can go back to the room and enjoy the hot spring time in the morning before leaving.
Overall, it was a very satisfactory accommodation experience. I enjoyed the hot springs and will consider staying here again next time I visit Yufuin.
