Outstanding
SSMB-RI recently stayed at R Bed and Breakfast in Baguio City for 2 nights, booking through Trip.com, which was super easy and convenient. The prices are quite affordable, especially considering its prime location near tourist attractions and in the town proper. It's easy to find, right along the road, with ample parking space.
Upon arrival, the room was impressively spacious and tidy. (What you see is what you get based on their posted pictures.) However, there was a slight sewer smell from the toilet that could be improved. Nonetheless, the overall vibe felt cozy and homelike.
While the breakfast options were limited, they served delicious Filipino breakfast dishes, which suited our short stay perfectly. The staff throughout, from the restaurant to security and reception, were incredibly accommodating. They patiently attended to our requests and even helped us book a tour in the area.
I highly recommend R Bed and Breakfast for family trips, given its convenience, affordability, and welcoming atmosphere.
RRhea AulhornReturning Guest Disappointed – Urgent Improvement Needed
Stay: 15-17/Nov/25
Status: Returning Guest
We returned hoping for improvements after our last critical review, but found significant service failures persist. Management must urgently address these issues before our planned January visit.
* Room Welcome: Cookies appreciated, but a Baguio Rose flower stalk would be a more meaningful gesture.
* Housekeeping: Towels placed on the floor for replacement were simply re-hung; we had to call for clean ones.
* Front Desk: Only one staff member on duty led to three unanswered calls at night. This poses a serious safety risk in an emergency.
* Food (Breakfast): HORRIBLE quality. The buffet lacked creativity, was visually unappetizing, and items like the sausage were inedible. The Chef needs immediate supervision.
Management/GM: Please give these critical points your special attention. We need to see positive improvements in January; otherwise, we will seek other accommodations.
CCybellIt's in a good location, but the ambience gives me creeps because of the color of the lights. The guards don't help us carry our baggage. That's the downside, they're just looking at us without giving us help. It's not sound proof but i love the beddings, it helps me sleep well. ❤️
KKSD31We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff who made our stay pleasant.
The room was also clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom it was spotless, with no signs of prior use or any foul smells. However, the lack of an exhaust fan meant that any odors stayed trapped inside. Additionally, the room had no windows that could be opened for fresh air circulation. While there was an air conditioner, it still felt like the air wasn’t circulating well.
Breakfast was just okay nothing special. The selection was quite limited, so you’re left with only what’s available. Compared to Elizabeth Hotel, which is more affordable and offers a more appetizing breakfast buffet with a wider variety, this was a bit of a letdown.
As for amenities, the hotel offers a jacuzzi and a heated pool, which is great in theory. However, their location in the middle of a restaurant makes it awkward to use since you’ll likely have an audience while swimming.
We also tried the Japanese restaurant on the mezzanine level. The food was good and affordable, but the sashimi was cut too thick about an inch which made it difficult to eat.
Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional cleanliness. If cleanliness is a top priority for you, this hotel is a great choice!
GGuest UserThe location is the right way to stay.the room is a bit too large for us as a couple.the free breakfast is good but i suggest since we’re in Baguio maybe they good add a little more veggies and instead of serving the other type of longanisa serve their native one coz its much better taste and maybe they good add more servings too😊.Tha staff are all good too.I want to go back and stay there i hope they will have a room for single one or a small one😊 and one more thing please.its more attractive if they could more linen or cover in the bed .
Rrjm30The hotel room is spacious. The bathroom is clean. The bed and linens aee clean and crisp... we booked at deluxe queen only with ceiling fan, but it feels like your inside an airconditioned room.. staffs are friendly amd couteous. They serve buffet breakfast if guests are 30p ax and above only.. though only few choices of foods at the buffet, we were still feel staisfied... definitely, we will book again..
HHanaHonest Review
The front desks and security guards were very accommodating, the room is fine, there is no view, it's only a wall from the building beside. However, the room is located at 6th floor and it's clean and a good place to sleep and stay. There's a blower, refrigerator, microwave, Tv and the wifi connection is good. Initially the hot shower is not functioning, needed to call the maintenance to turn on the main switch since we didn't know the main problem. The keycard also is a bit disappointing coz it's not working on elavator, needed to call some assistance everytime we needed to go upstairs.
AAnonymous UserThere are a few points would like to bring up
1. The ceiling fan in the room is functional,
However, the wind is totally not strong enough, so turning it on means not turning it on.
2. No YouTube/Netflix function on TV. Staying other hotels in Baguio which the said functions are available as well. But here no.
3. The hangers in wardrobe are so inconvenient, It can only be hung in the closet and cannot be taken away. Sometime want to hang clothes at the balcony but have no way.
4. Suggest to have USB socket ports at the bed side would be more convenient
5. Seems no individual button could control the light of baloncy. Seems the light is connected to some of the lights in room.
6. Front desk are friendly but can be more professional. Approached to the reception but no one acknowledged. We have to tell them ”check in” proactively
7. Prior arrival, sent the message to hotel for the room inquire, the first they replied, but afterwards, no replied from hotel anymore.
8. Breakfast not much selection. And many staffs at the counter
9. Shower water pressure not strong enough and hot water not hot enough. And no water refill after make up room service.
Even so, base on the hotel location and the mountain view, will consider staying again in the future. Hope the management will review the comments and hopefully will see some improvements by then.
Thank you!
BBryant Cherry ShekinahMy stay at Casa Vallejo Hotel was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the hotel's location is truly a highlight. Situated in a charming area, it offers easy access to local attractions and eateries, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The building itself has a lot of character, with a historic feel that adds to the overall ambiance. Overall, Casa Vallejo Hotel has potential. With some upgrades in terms of Wi-Fi, bathroom maintenance, and latest check-out offerings, it could significantly improve the guest experience. While it's a decent place to stay for a short visit, there's room for growth to make it truly outstanding.
GGuest UserService was good overall, although there are things left to be improved. Room was comfy but for some reason, the fan is slow, which matters since there is no air conditioning. Breakfast is good, too. Location is walkable from SM and Session, which is good. A bit of noise from the construction site nearby and Baguio cathedral bells but nothing disturbing about it. It's a good budget hotel.
One thing though, when we got to the hotel, the staff said they are not affiliated with Trip.com so our booking was rerouted to Agoda/Expedia, which was weird. We had to call Trip.com customer support to check.
