DdeniseoR3338FGWe love the antique vibes of this place. It has a nice breakfast views. We just called their number for reservarion. Their customer service is good. Our family room is huge. We slept well. It was peaceful place. Their rate is reasonable. Food is okay. My only problem was the mosquito in the lobby at night, it is just in the lobby. Our rooms don't have it.
GGuest UserThe condominium location was on a very good location near the tourist spots and food joints/restaurants. Our studio unit was clean and tiny but during our stay, unfortunately, there was a brownout due to an electric post that was damaged when a tree fell on it. This resulted to us using the stairs to our 5th floor unit with our luggages sthe elevator was not working and that was not fun at all. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was a corner unit so we had dual balconies and we got good views and fresh air. I will definitely come back here again in thefuture.
GGuest UserI booked this place because I want someplace that is not city-like but not far from the city center. They have pine trees and gardens surrounding the property. We came when typhoon Doksuri (Egay) was signal number 1. The whole city had a black out but Log Cabin had a generator so we had no problem with the electricity. They have a restaurant so wee ate a late lunch on our arrival and even had supper there and of course breakfast buffet was included. We were not able to stroll in the garden because of the typhoon. Bed was so comfy. I would have slept more if I did not have things to do. Of course room did not need air conditioning since this is in Baguio. Our room size was comfortable. We can move around. They also had nice towels and our toiletries were restocked.
Eelterrible2015I understand why this place had equal good and not-so-good reviews. If you plan to book a room, choose the ones with windows. The rooms are quite small to begin with and it would be worse if you take those locked-in inner rooms, which feel claustrophobic. We were quite unlucky to stay during bad weather, forcing us to stay indoors and there was basically nothing to do. You can't even while away the time with sightseeing. It is also important to have your own car if you book at this place. I think the jeepney routes don't pass the area and taxis are also few. Since it's quite far from the tourist spots with narrow, descending roads, don't expect a leisurely walk. There's not much to expect of the free breakfast, with limited choices of rice with either daing, corned beef or longanisa, served plated and in very small portions. Old Orange wood looks cozy and homey, if indeed it's your regular home, but not as a rented transient place, which I can imagine would be too cramped on a brisk booking day. Overall, don't expect too much.
Rating this place. ZERO. No proper clean up and sanitation - there are used slippers under the bed from who knows how long ago. We understand the dust on the window sill but the dust on the BATHROOM switches are unacceptable as it means they do not clean well or do deep cleaning. The electric fan in the unit is very dusty - it’s not been cleaned in months as the dust is thick enough to plant a seedling into it. I always wake up with puffy eyes from poor quality sleep and dust allergy. The bathroom smelled like sewers that went from bad to worse. The shower area is so small you can barely move in it and the bidet is awkwardly placed on the left hand side. We booked for 3 nights and suffered through them as we had already paid in full - 7,087.50! Too much for poor quality hotel stay. Not worth your money! The windows have no sound proofing - you are guaranteed NO TO BAD SLEEP. You can hear motors and cars all through the night. The food is very limited and cheaply made - fish fillet that is malansa. Scrambled eggs made from one egg divided into 2 orders. The only good thing is the free water in the diner which you can avail of at any time. We had been patient enough during our stay and could almost endure the experience except on the last night, there was a group above us who were shouting loudly and thundering around their room - dumadagongdong sila and this went on until about 1:45am which was the time we informed the guard on duty to inform the room above us to quiet down as we could not sleep. I could not understand how the guard on duty didn’t reprimand the unit above earlier as when I went down to inform him of the noise - the hollering and laughing can be heard all the way down in the hotel entrance. By early morning the taho vendor decided to shout right in front of our window waking us up. He kept hollering for half an hour until he noticed he was being recorded. Lastly, during breakfast there was a piece of plastic in the food - they offered to replace it but we already lost our appetite and distrusted the kitchen quality. We informed the staff of our ordeal as he stated that the manager was not available. It is not a good sign when the staff does not know how many stars hotel they are as when he was asked… his answer was “I don’t know… 4 or 5?” Upon check out - the manager apologized for the inconveniences and gave an apology cake but the statements after only made me livid inside. The manager stated that the owner had been informed and that they will set a general cleaning - THIS SHOULD BE MANDATORY EVERY WEEK OR TWO WEEKS if the place is always with guests, it should not arise due to guest complaints. What was more infuriating is being offered 20% discount on our next stay - NO, WE WILL NOT COME BACK! A horrible first experience cannot be rectified with a second visit as the trauma and distrust is already there. If the management really wanted to make amends… the 20% discount should have been applied on that visit and a 300 peso cake c
