Great
AAnonymous UserA wonderful beach hotel! The grounds aren't huge, but they're very green and well-maintained. The bungalows are super cozy and charming. From any bungalow, it's no more than a 1-minute walk to the beach. There's a restaurant on-site serving both European and Thai cuisine. For breakfast, I even found oatmeal with mango! The beach is beautiful and long enough for a nice stroll. The sand is incredibly soft and fine. It does get a bit shallow at low tide. There's a Seven-Eleven about a 7-minute walk from the hotel along the main road.
GGuygiGreat location, this hotel have basic and simple rooms for people who look for cheap price and also great rooms near the beach, the staff is lovely, the food is great and their beach is perfect
IIsraeliLadyPool area is very nice and calm, even have a little library. room is very clean and welcoming, its quiet even in the morning, the bed comfortable, towels smell very good, everyone nice and smiling and very helpful. Perfect location, close by everything u need with walking distance like bars, markets, massage, shops and really everything. Entrance is big so no noise from the road. Only minus is that the curtains are 5 cm too short but i recommend 10 out of 10 and i will come back again.
AAmbra Rossana stucchiThe place is very relaxing, on a beach in the middle of the forest. It is located in a national park. To get there you have to take the 4 × 4 or the boat, but if you ask the hotel for help, they will book transport for you free of charge. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious. The only downside is that the water comes out a bit brownish, because it comes from the local water supply tanks and is not connected to the city's water system. So the bathtub shown in the photos is not usable unless you want to bathe in cold, brownish water. Otherwise it was a nice stay.
GGuest UserThe resort is outdated. The room was clean and spacious, but it wasn’t designed in a way that makes constructive use of the space. There’s very little room to put your luggage, and the lighting was poor. The air conditioning blows directly onto the head of the bed.
The beachfront is beautiful, but the bar leaves much to be desired.
As for the resort’s policies and staff, I have the following comments: they have fines for almost everything. They provide beach towels at the reception, but you’re only allowed to use them on their beach and must return them “immediately” after you’re done. If you don’t comply—fine!
The safe wasn’t working. The room was full of mosquitoes when we arrived. And they would “forget” to give us the two basic bottles of water, even though they had stated we would receive them. Water is very cheap—it’s not about the price, but about the services that are supposed to be provided.
GGuest UserThis place was alright. It was directly right by the sea with a nice beach front. The waves were large and a lot of fun to swim in. You cannot check in early. The room is average, furniture is dated and the bed is hard. The reception takes a long time to check out. They check the room for every cup, towel and thing in the room before returning the 1000 baht deposit. There were many families there with loud, young children who wake up very early. If you don’t like this, it would be suggested to keep looking as it seemed to be very family oriented with rooms closely connecting. It felt like we were in the middle of a family or travelling group of friends with kids. Probably would pass on staying here again as there are better located and nicer places available in Ko Phagnan.
GGuest UserThere is so much to like and a few things to be warned about in this property. The first is that the location, Chaloklum beach, is very remote and will be difficult to get to from Thong Sala pier unless you are traveling with a large group.
However, that remoteness is very much the appeal of this area for me, as it is once of the quietest beaches I’ve ever experienced. The second thing to note is that the hotel rooms shows it’s age, with a cracking bath tile for the jacuzzi and balcony doors that barely work. The hotel room only had one plug as well, and the hair dryer did not work. The last thing I will say though is that the view really is unbeatable; you open your curtains and see one of the most beautiful sights you can see.
GGuest UserOnly stayed here one night as I was booked the following days at a yoga retreat. It got the job done and is within walking distance of a really nice vegan restaurant.
