Koh Phangan Hostels

Hi Sea Hostel was exactly the kind of hostel I needed to experience. I had come from another hostel on the island and switched due to the area and because I hadn't felt comfortable at the previous one. It was definitely the best decision. The room was super nice and clean, and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom could perhaps be improved a little, but it was functional and clean. The cafe at the entrance is super cozy, and the coffee is delicious. I even had an incident where I was checking in late, after reception hours. I tried to contact them all day without success, but I went directly at 8 PM and found their WhatsApp number. I messaged them, and the guy was at the hostel in less than 20 minutes to check me in – he was an absolute sweetheart. (If this happens to you, try to save the number provided by the app and send a WhatsApp message). Even now that I'm still traveling, I always ask AI to find me hostels with the same style as Hi Sea – the vibe, the comfort, the aesthetics, everything was wonderful. It's a quiet hostel, meaning if you're looking for a party in the common areas, this isn't the place. The only other thing I think could be added are curtains. For both the beds and the window – the sun comes in too directly in the morning, and curtains for the beds would offer more privacy.

Ich gebe sehr selten Bewertungen ab, da ich auf meinen längeren Reisen in viele Unterkünfte komme und oftmals keine Zeit habe dafür. Dennoch ist es mir eine Herzensangelegenheit für dieses Hostels einige schöne Zeilen zu schreiben: Insgesamt hatte ich eine wirklich wahnsinnig tolle Zeit!!! Von der ersten Sekunde an fühlt man sich einfach nur herzlich Willkommen in diesem Hostel. Ein riesiges Dankeschön geht an den Besitzer des Hostels „Fon“. Der Typ ist einfach eine herzensgute Seele. Ich habe selten einen so zuvorkommenden, sympathischen Menschen kennengelernt. Ich bin im Hostel angekommen und wurde mit einem gratis Cappucino und Wasser begrüßt. Da seine Frau zu viel Curry gekocht hat, durfte ich sogar etwas davon mit essen. Fon hat das Hostel von Grund auf neu aufgebaut und steckt all seine Energie mit Herzblut dort rein und ist noch lange nicht am Ende ein atemberaubendes Hostel zu schaffen und für seine Gäste ein einzigartiges Zuhausefeeling zu bieten. Er legt viel Wert darauf, dass es jedem seiner Gäste gut geht und nimmt sich die Zeit für jeden Einzelnen. Dabei ist ihm nicht wichtig, dass er mit dem Hostel massig Geschäft macht, sondern dass es jedem Einzelnen gut geht und alle die beste Zeit haben. Seine Crew, die dort arbeitet und er selbst haben mit uns eine Rollertour um die Insel gemacht und uns ganz viele tolle Orte gezeigt. Es war einer der schönsten Tage, die ich hatte. Ich war zu Beginn verwundert, wie ein Hostel eine so dermaßen gute Bewertung haben kann. Nachdem ich angekommen bin wurde mir schnell klar warum. Es ist nicht alles perfekt - Es ist alles genau richtig, so wie es ist. Das Hostel ist entspannt, super sauber, bietet Aktivitäten und ist toll gelegen (5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Fullmoonstrand). Man fühlt sich wie zuhause und jeder der hierher kommt wird eine gute Zeit haben. Versprochen! Fon hat noch so viele tolle Ideen, das Hostel noch zu erweitern und noch schöner zu gestalten. Ob in 1, 2 oder 5 Jahren. Ich komme definitiv irgendwann wieder und bin schon jetzt gespannt, was er tolles daraus machen wird! Danke für die wundervollen Tage, lieber Fon! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

This place is wonderful, you immediately feel at home. Mango manages it with love and effort. Everything is new and clean, room is big, bed is comfortable and has everything you need (plug, lamp, shelf, curtain, even hanger), locker inside the room, good shower. There’s a common kitchen with water, coffee, tea and biscuits all the time, microwave, toaster and fridge. Upstairs there’s a big bar and sofa, a great place to hang out or even work. Yoga mats available too if you want. You can park bike for free. Close to everything you might need in Baan Tai. I’ve been in many hostels around Asia and this is one of the best cared for I've ever been. If you need anything, Mango is really open to help you and arrange whatever you need. Even before coming, I booked the wrong night and it was not possible to change on Trip, but I contacted them via email and they immediately fixed it for me. Booked for one night and ended up extending. I recommend with my eyes closed.

Very convenient location and comfortable room during Full Moon week.

Hide Hostel is best suited for: • Party-goers heading to the Full Moon Party. • Solo travelers eager to socialize in a lively, budget-friendly setting. • Those who value proximity to beach and nightlife above comfort and privacy. Potential drawbacks: • Shared dorm rooms with up to 20 people might feel overcrowded. • Reports of sporadic cleanliness and limited reception staff availability. • Shared bathrooms may not be ideal for everyone. If your priority is social energy and convenience, Hide Hostel delivers.

Great place. Beautiful vies for the ocean. Great food and bar. Nice swimming pool and hotel staff/ service. Very top rated. Bungalow was great.

The hotel liked it. Very cozy yard, sometimes companies gather there in the evenings. Each house has its own veranda, you can sit down, eat. The location is excellent, you can reach the beach in the swimming pool (very saved when rain was going). Central street is near, shops too (by the way near 7/eleven lotus store is cheaper). The beach of Haad Rin is cool, I was unlucky, there were strong waves (in the middle of February). In the room itself, there is a squeeze, there is no closet. No safe, refrigerator, and TV either. But I only came there to stay, so it's okay).

Recommend for full moon party trip. 5 mins walk to Haad Rin and the pier. There are many local Thai restaurants nearby.
