BBenny Hon ChungThe hotel is in a central location which is only a few minutes walk from the railway station and the old town where the cathedral and all the big luxury brands can be found. There are a lot of restaurants in its vicinity. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and comfortable. The room is spacious and sound proofing is excellent. The staff are extremely polite, welcoming, and accomodating. It's worth mentioning that the hotel's check in time is 1500 but we were given a room when we arrived at 1210. The gentleman and lady at the reception counter even gave us a city map and took several minutes telling us where to go. The two reception girls in the afternoon also showed us their welcoming smiles every time they saw us. When we called to request to have a kettle the hotel gave us not just a kettle but a whole lot of instant coffee and tea bags. Wow what a surprise to receive such excellent service in a small 4 star hotel! I highly recommend it to all travellers who want to receive exceptional service.
MMRyangThis is my second time staying here. The last time was in 2018. The room is not big, but it has everything it should have. I booked two rooms and asked for connecting rooms, which were given to me. They are very good. There are two double beds, one is 2 meters and the other is 1.8 meters. It is spacious for three big and two small. It is cost-effective. Although it is not on the first line of the lake, it is a 2-minute walk from the lake. You can find free bus tickets at the hotel front desk. Although I didn't encounter anyone checking tickets on the bus barge for two or three days, it is still safer to get one just in case.
GGuest UserVery good stay. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel foyer area looks impressive, but the rooms were slightly lacking…they were clean and well decorated but I wasn’t a fan of the open shelving for clothes, there was no hairdryer (can be requested from reception), no fridge/minibar and only 1 towel for 2 guests? These were small issues though, and were the only minus points. Right behind the hotel, a 2 minute walk, is the rail station straight in to Geneva which was a huge benefit. The only other thing I would point out is that the free shuttle from the airport needs to be arranged/booked in advance, easy enough but I didn’t realise until arrival at the airport.
TtheminimeThe location is pretty convenient and accessible. It was 1 minute walk away from the tram station and 2 stops away from Cornavin Station.
Staffs were friendly and approachable at all times. Even though, I didn’t mention that it will be my birthday, they prepared a small amenity for me on my second day stay. Truly appreciate it!
Hotel and the room is clean. Very pleasing to the eyes.
Room came with universal socket which came in handy since my luggage was delayed and I do not have travel adapter with me.
All in all, I had a really pleasant stay.
Thank you N’vy!
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location. It's just a few minutes' flat walk from the train station, and the lake is also easily reachable within about 10 minutes on foot.
There are two 4-star Manotel hotels side-by-side. One appears more contemporary. I booked this one, expecting a more traditional or classic feel. To my surprise, only the lobby had a classic European style; the rooms were very modern, likely recently renovated.
Despite being a hotel, the kitchen facilities are surprisingly comprehensive and impeccably clean.
We booked a triple room, which was a good size, featuring a large bed and a sofa bed. The duvet provided for the sofa bed was rather thin, but the main bed was incredibly comfortable. The room came with a good selection of amenities, including slippers, shower caps, cotton swabs, toiletries, and coffee capsules.
The bathroom heating was on, but we couldn't manage to turn off the air conditioning in the room. As we arrived past 11 PM and had an early departure the next morning, we decided to just make do and get some sleep.
Breakfast was quite impressive, offering a generous spread including smoked salmon, a variety of hot and cold meats, and golden kiwi fruit.
The lobby also features a piano for guests' use.
AAnonymous UserThe room was very clean, spacious, and lovely, offering excellent value for money. Walking from the train station to the hotel in the early hours was a short distance and felt very safe. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the hotel itself was quite charming. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The only downside was that the hairdryer's airflow was extremely weak.
JJoanne see the worldDuring our recent stay, we used the complimentary airport shuttle service. Upon arriving at the airport, the driver refused to assist us with our luggage, despite this typically being part of the service — especially important as we are a group of women and I personally have an arm injury.
When I asked the driver for assistance, he ignored my request and insisted we handle the luggage ourselves. However, moments later, when two European passengers approached, he quickly helped them without hesitation. He also removed all other passengers’ luggage except ours. Only after I insisted again did he very reluctantly and roughly unload our luggage.
This behavior was highly disrespectful, and the difference in treatment was so stark that it felt clearly discriminatory — suggesting that we were being treated differently because we are Asian.
MMuniz PedroAs a business hotel with the bare minimum, bed and shower, and convenience of being close to the airport, it's ok. The breakfast buffet at CHF32 was very good. Geneva is an expensive city per se. This week, I think there were fairs/events in the city crowding the hotels and bringing the prices up. Things to complain about: the shower doesn't have a door, so the bathroom gets all wet. There are no amenities like courtesy slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste (Yeah, save the planet...) And the shower mixer gives you 3 choices: cold, hot, and cold-hot-cold-hot... So, showering is a challenge. Think of these ”chain/brand” hotels as that is what you get to make their EPS go up and please their shareholders. There is nothing to do with hospitality.
LLimmylimlimAlthough I had bed bug bites and was uncertain whether I had gotten it in the hotel or the hotel before, there was no proper procedures, only a “it has not happened before” and an alleged check by a private hire. Although its likely to be from the hotel before, there was no attempts at remedy or assistance, which leads me to believe that customer service may not be the strength of the hotel. It was otherwise a good hotel, which would have garnered higher ratings if they were to treat certain problems more seriously. (There was also a stoppage of water during my stay which was by no means the fault of the hotel, but during that time, maybe water could be provided by the hotel for if customers do have the needs)
