' ' The hotel is in the heart of Greektown offerings, and within minutes of all the arenas and sports stadiums, as well as the performing arts snd stage houses. ' The Athenium will delight and pamper you!

GGuest UserWhere the APEC Ministerial Meeting is held, the room is large, some of the facilities are a bit old, and the hotel lobby is not very grand. The surrounding environment is relatively quiet and public security is good. It only takes a few minutes to walk to the core area of the main city.

GGuest UserOverall the place was great. Friendly staff, great location! I would suggest different curtains rather than sheer as you’re super close to the stadium/ lights that shined through all night. Made it a little hard to sleep with the room being light. The breakfast was a little below average any hotel breakfast, nothing cooked like meats or eggs. But the fresh fruit and bagels were good to hold us off till lunch. Breakfast isn’t served till 9am, which is a little late in my opinion if you’re headed off early in the AM. Overall it was a good stay and a great location within walking distance to either 3 stadiums, and I would book again.

GGuest UserI spent one night at the Hollywood Casino at Greektown. I did not visit the casino. I was looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The hotel grounds were 4-stars. I arrived around 7 PM. It took some time to check in because I had to wait for a number of others who qualified for the VIP check-in line.
I stayed in a basic, twin queen room. The room and bathroom were nice and modern. Shortly after getting into my room, bright exterior lights turned on - shining in the direction of my room. I couldn't see what they were illuminating, but if I had to guess, it was perhaps the hotel name written on the exterior. Those lights stayed on all night. The drapes didn't completely cover the windows, so my room was illuminated all night. The room stayed one temperature despite what the thermostat was set to. There was an intermittent hum coming from the in-wall heater as if it was revving up. I ultimately slept with earplugs.
I am have been able to overlook the illuminated room, dysfunctional thermostat, and intermittent hum if I was there for other reasons than to sleep, like to visit the casino, or go out.

Before checking in, you need to fill in various information and bind your credit card according to the email prompts, otherwise you will not be given room information and door password.

WWEIJIAThe location of the hotel in downtown Detroit is very good. There is a good sushi restaurant nearby. There are also shake shack, star father, McDonald's and so on nearby. There is no slippers in the room, you need to bring your own. The room is not too big but it is enough, the night view outside the floor-to-ceiling windows is beautiful. Overall the experience is good.
