5-Star Hotels in Lombok

Our stay at The Lombok Lodge was nothing short of outstanding. I have traveled and stayed at many hotels around the world, but this place is truly unique. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home – it’s not just a hotel, it’s a home away from home. The food was consistently delicious, both in the mornings and evenings. The attention to detail in every aspect is remarkable, and the staff made our stay unforgettable. Every employee knew our names and greeted us warmly, making us feel like part of the family. They even surprised us with special touches for our birthdays, which meant a lot. A highlight was the wonderful day we spent at Bagno di Gili – a magical experience. I am not usually an emotional person, but I had tears in my eyes when it was time to leave. The Lombok Lodge is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and feel truly cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend every person to experience this hotel at least once – if you are looking for something truly special and want to be genuinely taken care of, this is the place.

Pondok Santi Estate is truly an exceptional place to stay. We stayed at Pondok Santi Estate in Gili Trawangan for four nights, and from the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The level of service is outstanding — a true 5 out of 5 — and the experience feels much more like a five-star luxury resort rather than a hotel. Every detail is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is impeccable, and the staff is attentive without ever being intrusive. The restaurant experience deserves special praise. The food quality, presentation, and service were consistently excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — fresh, delicious, and served in a peaceful, beautiful setting that made every morning feel special. What truly sets this resort apart is the warmth and professionalism of the team. From the room staff to the restaurant team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Personally, Gili Trawangan itself is not a destination that impressed me greatly. However, Pondok Santi Estate completely transformed our experience and made the island a place I would happily return to again — specifically because of this resort. We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and are deeply grateful for such a memorable and high-quality experience. Pondok Santi Estate is a true sanctuary of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality, and we would not hesitate to return.

First, about the pros. After a long trip to different countries with friends. My husband and I decided to relax together somewhere in a secluded corner and celebrate my husband's birthday. We chose Lombok and this hotel. We were met at the airport, the transfer cost 750,000. They checked us into a chic room with an ocean view, second floor. Although I asked for the first when booking, but we also really liked the second, we did not object. It turned out that there was a cyclone for the first three days. Strong wind and rain. But this did not bother us, because we were in a great place. Great breakfasts to order from the menu, good spa. I will note that we were the only guests in the hotel for the first three days. And now about the cons, they would not have been there if not for February 14, Valentine's Day. Many in the reviews complain about the expensive menu. I agree that it is expensive and not always as tasty as expected. There are many good restaurants nearby in Singigi. My husband's birthday... I asked in advance when booking the hotel what we could organize on this day. They told me a piece of cake or a cake for an extra charge. We ordered dinner on the ocean shore. These were beautifully set tables, there were several of them, we laughed, thinking that we had invited guests. But no, it was an ordinary dinner like every day. There was no special celebration. Everything is as usual. But we are in a great mood and we are together in a wonderful place... everything went great! Let me remind you that the hotel was empty, two or three more couples arrived later. For breakfast, they began to forget to bring us fruit or not offer something from the menu, as was the case on the first days. The service here, unfortunately, is not attentive with such a small number of guests. And then on February 14, they brought us coupons for the holiday. You can use them to book a dinner at a discount, a spa or choose an excursion (all are attached) We decided to give the hotel a chance to redeem itself and ordered a romantic dinner (I would like to clarify, we rarely dined at the hotel, this was the first day of our stay, my husband's birthday and here it is 02/14). And what do we see, the same tables usually set, like every evening, strangers passing by sitting nearby, well, a rose from the hotel as a bonus. They have nothing new, except for some special menu, after which my husband remained hungry, because everything was not tasty for him. But this did not bother us until we saw another couple having a truly romantic dinner. I asked why they had flowers, a beautiful tent and a gorgeous romantic setting in the hotel courtyard. But they did not even offer us this. They told us that this was a different package. But I asked what could be organized for my husband's birthday, they only offered me a cake, we ordered a romantic one and that's it. I read all the offers from the hotel in the room, there was no such offer as I saw from the guys. It was very beautiful. By the way, the prices are different everywhere, on the website one, on the menu another for the same offers. With such a small number of guests, how could this happen? I was extremely disappointed. I did not show this to my husband. Later I saw in the brochure at the hotel that the cost of a romantic dinner was the same on a regular day, as we were offered with a coupon, supposedly with a discount. In general, we adore the Maldives and so I regretted a little that I did not choose them. The price was the same. I was very disappointed in the hotel. I did not find out, swear or talk about my dissatisfaction. We continued to relax, have fun and travel around the island, eating wonderful dishes much cheaper in neighboring hotels and restaurants. And yes, on the last day of our stay, they did not even come to clean us. They forgot. It was twice a day, they came only in the evening. Everything that was written in the reviews corresponds to reality. You shouldn't have high expectations. The staff is good, but unfortunately not professional. We stayed at the hotel for 7 days. I hope the hotel will read the review and will please other guests with more comfortable and attentive service. And remove these tasteless expensive dishes from the menu. They spoil the reputation of your hotel. Reviews often write about this.

Our overall experience at Cocana Resort Gili Trawangan was excellent. The hotel is new and very well-maintained, and the pool and beach areas are incredibly picturesque, especially at sunset when the ambiance is just perfect. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and the staff are all warm and friendly. It's also super convenient to bike to the main restaurants and bars on the island from here. I recommend bringing sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and snorkeling gear, as the sun on the island is very strong. Rooms close to the sea might occasionally have mosquitoes, so remember to keep your doors and windows closed. If you're lucky, you can spot sea turtles right in front of the hotel – I highly recommend snorkeling in the early morning when there are fewer people and the water is clearer. Since there are no motorized vehicles on the island, if you have a lot of luggage, I suggest booking the hotel's horse carriage transfer service in advance; it'll save you a lot of effort.

A Slice of Paradise at Innit Lombok From the moment we arrived at Innit Lombok, we knew we were in for something special. Nestled along Lombok's breathtaking coastline, this resort perfectly marries contemporary luxury with the raw beauty of nature, offering a sanctuary for the weary traveler. Our room was a sanctuary of style and comfort, boasting panoramic ocean views that instantly put us at ease. The modern design melded seamlessly with touches of local charm, creating a restful retreat after our adventures. The staff at Innit Lombok deserve a special mention for their exceptional hospitality. They anticipated our needs with genuine warmth and friendliness, which made our stay all the more memorable. Dining at the resort was a culinary delight. The menu highlighted fresh with seafood dishes that stood out for their taste and presentation. In a nutshell, Innit Lombok is a gem. Its enchanting surroundings, exemplary service, and delightful accommodations make it an ideal choice on this beautiful island. It's a place we'll be dreaming of until we return!

A very unique experience! The hotel wasn't crowded, giving it a secluded, 'away from it all' feeling. The beach is also private to the hotel, so much so that we didn't want to leave the property at all. The pool was incredibly comfortable too. All meals were taken care of by the hotel, and the prices were quite reasonable.

I must say we really enjoyed a lot during our visit in Lombok by choosing this hotel. Even though the hotel is relatively new compared to others, their services are top notch especially the food, all served in ala carte to keep it fresh everyday. You will have direct access to the beach too by choosing the sea view villa and it only takes one minute to the beach every morning. The staff are also highly trained in keeping your privacy secured. Besides that you can also approach the staff for Gili island hopping. The boat will ferry you from the beach in front of the hotel so that you don’t even have to worry about being late. The water is so clear that you can also snorkelling at the beach, however bring your own gear for hygiene purposes. The location of the hotel is quite secluded, so do expect to spend most of your time in the hotel unless you arrange your own day trip. You will never regret choosing this hotel!

We loved this hotel in every way, it was in the most perfect location, incredibly quiet, on the most perfect tropical beach, with the most stunning swimming pools. The rooms were amazing large and with an extremely comfortable bed, we adored our large outdoor bathroom with the round circular bath and overhead rain fall shower. This hotel was our favourite place to stay so far with its beauty, antiques all over the grounds and in the most idealic setting. The staff were incredibly attentive, kind and thoughtful. I very much hope to return and can not recommend it enough.

This hotel is magnificent in every way! The rooms are equipped with everything you could need, including a kettle, a safe, toothbrush and paste sets, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and even body lotion. The bathroom humidity is low, so swimsuits dried completely overnight. The huge bed was incredibly comfortable with soft pillows – we slept like babies! The staff are very attentive and always smiling, excellent service! There are two swimming pools on the property; we particularly liked the second, longer one, further from reception. You can also rent bicycles for the whole day! The breakfasts are delicious. Best of all, turtles swim right in front of the hotel – we absolutely loved watching them! It was hard to leave this paradise!!!

View: 4.5/5 Villa size: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Maintenance: 2/5 This villa is as big as it looks on their website with amazing view. However, it is quite rundown and needs a refresh, especially the toilet.  The toilet bowl has stains and the overall bathing area are mouldy. I understand we’re in the middle of nature but I would expect better maintenance. Plus the water pressure was low. Maybe it was the rainy season (it rains every evening/overnight), the area is filled with millipedes everywhere, the worst part is that they are in the villa as the doors/sliding doors have gaps. We’re fine if the insects stay outdoors but the millipedes enter our villa every single time and they appear at every creak of the villa. It was tiring trying to keep them out of the villa.  The redeeming factor for the villa is really the view, the Indonesian cuisine at Aura and their prompt service. The view is as amazing as you see on their website, if not more. And they have exceptional food at their restaurant and the service was superb. And yes, there are monkeys in the morning and evenings. The staffs will inform you upon check-in, to lock the doors and avoid eye contact.
