Amazing
SSlavnaExcellent hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly. In our case, they quickly helped us resolve an issue with visiting the hospital; they literally walked us there, sorted everything out, and accompanied us back. The location is very convenient. We walked from the pier upon arrival, and for our return, the hotel arranged a horse-drawn carriage for us at the specified time. The excursions we booked departed directly from the hotel's jetty. The hotel beach is clean, and you can swim with turtles on your own. If you swim to the left, you'll see lots of baby turtles! 😊 The breakfasts are delicious! We ordered room service, and it was brought exactly on time, beautifully presented, tasty, and diverse! 👌👍 Out of 8 hotels in Bali, this one and one other had truly exceptional breakfasts! The rooms are clean! This was a huge plus! Also, there's a French press coffee maker in the room, which is a lovely touch; it's so convenient to start the morning right with a delicious cup of coffee. The hotel grounds are green and well-maintained! I enjoyed the massage, especially having a massage table in a separate spa area. I highly recommend this hotel!
GGuest UserIt was our first visit to Gili and Gili became the best place we have ever traveled thanks to kind Aini and Widi.
They were so friendly and kind enough to give us a fantastic impression to Gili and Kuno. Thank you for their hospitality again.
The accommodation was perfect. Private, clean and fancy. For sure I will visit Gili Island again and would like to stay longer in Kuno then.
MMatt NasirPondok Santi Estate is truly an exceptional place to stay.
We stayed at Pondok Santi Estate in Gili Trawangan for four nights, and from the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The level of service is outstanding — a true 5 out of 5 — and the experience feels much more like a five-star luxury resort rather than a hotel.
Every detail is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is impeccable, and the staff is attentive without ever being intrusive.
The restaurant experience deserves special praise. The food quality, presentation, and service were consistently excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — fresh, delicious, and served in a peaceful, beautiful setting that made every morning feel special.
What truly sets this resort apart is the warmth and professionalism of the team. From the room staff to the restaurant team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay.
Personally, Gili Trawangan itself is not a destination that impressed me greatly. However, Pondok Santi Estate completely transformed our experience and made the island a place I would happily return to again — specifically because of this resort.
We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and are deeply grateful for such a memorable and high-quality experience. Pondok Santi Estate is a true sanctuary of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality, and we would not hesitate to return.
AAnastasiaGSea Shell Hotel Gili is a small and cozy hotel where we stayed for two nights during our trip to the Gili Islands. The hotel is located inside the island rather than directly on the beach, but the ocean is still within easy walking distance — just a short walk to the left side of the island. Considering the size of Gili, the location is actually quite convenient and quiet.
Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. The bathroom was also quite big with good plumbing — hot water was always available and the water pressure was strong. Overall everything was clean and well maintained.
One small thing that felt a bit strange was that we were given only one towel per person. If a place positions itself as a hotel rather than a guesthouse, it would be nice to have at least two towels per guest.
Another detail we didn’t love was the drinking water system. Water is provided in a jug rather than sealed plastic bottles. While it may be more eco-friendly, personally I feel a bit more comfortable when the drinking water comes in sealed bottles.
The hotel has a large swimming pool which looks nice, although we didn’t end up using it — when you’re on Gili, swimming in the ocean feels like the obvious choice.
Breakfast was probably the most disappointing part of the stay. There is a menu, but in reality there aren’t many options to choose from. On the second morning about half of the menu was unavailable when we tried to order, and no explanation was given.
Amsterdam - Good cafe near the hotel :) in the end we sorted out our breakfast there
Overall, Sea Shell Hotel Gili is a decent option if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with spacious rooms and a good bathroom. It’s not perfect, but for a short stay on the island it worked well enough.
VVery Curious ApeTotal 4 buildings. Deluxe Ultimate Rooms, in a 4-storey building at the back, are newer and very beautifully furnished. Deluxe Classic rooms (in 3-storey buildings) look rather old and worn and some of them (in the first building, nearest to the reception, are under renovation). Some construction work is being carried out now next to the reception and in the first hotel building - thankfully, I didn't hear any noise or disturbance from my room. Reception is very drab-looking and dimly lit and the tiny lobby is not a place you wish to hang around. Standard check in time is overly late, at 3 pm. Didn't use the 2 pools as I was there in the rainy season and most days, it rained on and off throughout the day. New hotel restaurant at the back is air-conditioned (there's outdoor dining area too), very clean and exudes great ambience! Buffet breakfast has lots of choices - some of the selections are good (pizza, finger food and some of the hot dishes) while others, like the pastries (limp and cold) and chilled items (pretty but excessively sweet desserts) didn't appeal to me. Wifi was painfully slow and frequently got disconnected in the room - the strongest signals are in the restaurant and reception. Overall, I love the spacious, beautiful and well furnished new Deluxe Ultimate room, the greenery all around and the friendly staff service.
QQingxiandebiaogeThis hotel has a limited number of rooms, and by domestic standards, they're about 3-star quality. The à la carte breakfast was decent, nothing special. The beach right outside is only good for photos; there are strong currents and waves from two directions, so it's not suitable for swimming. It's probably not worth it if the price is over 500 a night.
GGuest UserThis hotel offers great value for money on Senggigi Beach. The breakfast selection is quite good. Our room was very spacious, clean, and bright. From the balcony, we could enjoy views of the lawn, coconut trees, and the sea, and also hear the booming sound of the waves. The staff were very responsive to our requests. I feel like I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Senggigi.
GGuest UserLocation is very scenic and secluded.
Staff is very friendly and polite.
Room felt a bit wet (cause of rain season) and as a following - full of mosquitoes. Bedding and towels are greyish which added to the a bit worn-out feeling.
Food in the restaurant is average although the idea behind it is quite nice, what’s lacking is the execution.
Breakfast is poor, on our last day they run out of eggs, all other food was some kind of a heavy processed food leaving none options to eat except for fruits.
Spa is good, clean and thoughtful massage for a reasonable price.
TtlapeachIn terms of the service this hotel offers, the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast, the things that there are to do at the hotel (2 pools, full gym, 24h massage room, 24h room service), all of those elements are beyond excellent. Our only issue with this hotel was the room. We didn’t feel like the room was completely unclean and the sheets smelled fresh, but there were obvious stains that they did not manage to get out. The overall state of the room looked fine, but the lighting of the room wasn’t very good to begin with, so it’s difficult to fully gauge cleanliness. Something else that bugged me was the closet door, that has an automatic light that turns off/on when the closet is closed/open that would not fully close, which kept the light on. I had to fold out our paper room key pouch and stuff it in between the rolling doors to keep the closet shut so the light would stay off. Lastly, the hotel only provided shower towels in the room, no face or hand towels, which is strange as it is usually standard to provide at least a 2nd set of towels that are to be used at the sink. Overall, I still very much do recommend this hotel for travellers who would like a relaxing stay with a great pool and lots of good restaurants in the area, and extremely close to Senggigi Port, however, little issues such as the ones listed could also be an issue for some.
AAna_leela_gameI was stay here by myself, but I wasn’t feel sad and lonely because Ari as a head of place are really makes my mood better playing the cards games playing the guitar and singing together see and in this place you can find a Excursion and salon and restaurant!
Really recommend to stay here
Feel like a home
