The hotel is not far from the airport, and the restaurant inside is also quite good. The service attitude is excellent. There are activities available both indoors and outdoors. You can even continue swimming after checking out.

Badian Island Wellness Resort

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. What makes it truly special is its unique location: set on a small island just 10 minutes by boat from the mainland, it genuinely feels like being alone in the world. The setting is peaceful, charming, and beautifully secluded. The pool is lovely, the small beach is very enjoyable, and above all, the kindness of the staff is exceptional. The team is attentive, warm, and truly contributes to the overall experience. On the downside, because the island is quite isolated, dining options are limited to the hotel’s restaurant unless you take the boat back to the mainland. This makes both the room rates (even though the view is beautiful) and the food prices feel somewhat high. We were a family of five, added an extra bed, and requested early check-in, which significantly increased the final bill for our two-night stay. The total cost ended up being quite substantial. That said, we still had a wonderful time and keep very fond memories of our stay. It is a beautiful and special place overall.

Seda hotel is conveniently located near one of the famous malls in Cebu city. Breakfast was great, they have great food selection options and it is buffet. Check in was really smooth and they even offer an option of early check in + package for drinks for an affordable amount. Rooms were clean, well airconed with a good city view. Maybe the only inconvenience for me was shower water was not hot enough, but not cold for sure. Also they have higene shower next to the toilet but no soap near it. Quite and great place to live while visiting center of Cebu city. It was mi daughters birthday and they even gave us a very tasty cake

The hotel's service, facilities, and cleanliness were all top-notch. The only thing that wasn't great was the beach. It was quite small, and more importantly, the sand wasn't really sand – the grains were very large, making it uncomfortable to walk on even with flip-flops. If you go, it's definitely more worthwhile to spend your time at the hotel's infinity pool. The buffet was also good; someone was celebrating a birthday, and it felt very ceremonial, similar to Haidilao in China. Finally, I had originally wanted to try the hotel's Thai restaurant, but at 12 PM, they told us it was closed for the day. Also, the Thai massage on the second floor didn't open on time in the morning 😅

Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark Cebu

If you can get a direct round-trip flight with China Eastern Airlines, I genuinely recommend trying a vacation in Cebu. My first choice was the Shangri-La Hotel, but they didn't have any rooms available at the time. So, I booked this J Park hotel instead, and I ended up feeling like I made an excellent choice because it's truly perfect for families with kids. I'm talking about slightly older kids, maybe 6 and up, as they have a ton of water activities, similar to hotels like Senbo in China. But what makes it even better is its beachfront location. So, if you want to play in the sand or go snorkeling, they offer free equipment rentals, or you can bring your own. And if you're into swimming pools and water slides, there are plenty of those too. I also highly recommend their suite with a separate living room and bedroom. The price for these suites isn't exorbitant, it's super convenient for a family to stay together, and it even has two bathrooms. It's ideal for families traveling with both elderly relatives and young children. And here's a little tip: in Southeast Asian countries like this, if you can negotiate with the staff, you often won't have to pay an excessive amount for an extra bed. I can't go into too much detail, you know what I mean; check other reviews, and you'll get the gist. The hotel breakfast does get very crowded, so I suggest either going early or waiting until later. The hotel's location is also fantastic, with a supermarket and several restaurants right outside. Plus, taking a taxi around there is very affordable; just download the Grab app. There's a massage parlor called Gold Moon directly across from the hotel. This place is excellent; among all the places I tried, their ambiance was the best. Also, in the shopping area across from the hotel, there's a nail salon that is incredibly cheap. For my daughter and five other girls, getting 'QQ nails' cost only about 50-60 RMB each, so it was super affordable. And you can choose from really pretty designs; my daughter said her designs were intricately done, which you can see in the photos. I'm not sure why durians are so expensive in Southeast Asian countries like this. Everyone says you can eat durian in the Philippines, but I didn't find any good ones. However, you absolutely *can* eat excellent large crabs in the Philippines – like the Singaporean chili crab, made with Sri Lankan mud crabs; they are delicious and very reasonably priced. We tried one place opposite the hotel and also took a taxi to the popular Red Crab, which was trending on Xiaohongshu. Personally, I found Red Crab to be tastier and more professional; they also had a wider selection of crabs. If you try both, you'll understand what I mean. Overall, I really liked Cebu's J Park hotel. It's a high-value, safe place with great service, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for families with kids. I heard they even have a babysitting service for infants. One small complaint though: when I booked, I communicated with Ctrip, and it was agreed that we'd get two hours of park playtime daily, but the hotel later denied it. To my surprise, Ctrip directly compensated me. Ctrip is truly amazing; I'll only use Ctrip for future travels!

Kandaya is kinda pricey but we get the service worthy for the price. All the staff are friendly, reliable and fast. We never had any single problems or concerns during our stay. We just need more time to explore the resort more. Everything was perfect

I stayed here with my 8-year-old son (I'll share the pros and cons of traveling with a child). 1. **Pros** * **Meals**: The breakfast buffet is standard, but they offer white porridge daily with 3-4 Korean dishes and 1-2 Japanese dishes, which was great for kids. On the day I went, there were many delicious options like japchae, jjimdak, kimchi fried rice, and jeyuk-bokkeum. You can also order iced or hot chocolate at your table, which my son enjoyed every day. * **Kids' Club/Play Area**: They have their own children's play facility. They run various programs by age group and time, and even talk to the kids in English. There are also toys and playgrounds for toddlers. This was the only air-conditioned spot in the lobby area, so my son used it multiple times. I was initially worried the facilities and toys might be old, but my son absolutely loved the fish feeding and mask making activities we tried. T-shirt and pizza making are available for an extra charge. * **Pool & Beach**: These were the best facilities! There were hardly any guests, so we could enjoy the pool and beach leisurely. You can see various fish while snorkeling at the beach – we even spotted Nemo and Dory. * **Chocolate Hour**: I only got to experience it for one day, which was a shame. There were 2-3 types of chocolates, bread, and popcorn. You could enjoy them inside the 1st-floor breakfast restaurant or take them to the lobby. I particularly liked that there were two types of melting chocolate with about three toppings, offering variety. However, only water is provided for drinks; you can order other beverages from the lobby bar if needed. 2. **Cons** * **Facilities**: Since it was only a partial renovation, the overall facilities look dated. Especially the hallways had a strong old carpet smell. That said, the general maintenance was neat, and my shower filter didn't discolor, which was a good sign. 3. **Overall Review** The location is great, being close to New Town, the airport, popular massage shops (Cielo, Cacao Tree, Oasis), and famous restaurants (Morning Glory, Coco Cebu, Cabana, The Cove, etc.), many of which are within walking distance. I chose this place because I wanted to avoid areas with too many Koreans, and except for one couple during my stay, all other guests were foreigners. If you're looking for a good value-for-money experience that feels like you're truly abroad, this is the place to go!
