I stayed at bai Hotel Cebu in Mandaue, Cebu. It's a wonderful hotel with an excellent balance of location, facilities, and service, ensuring a very comfortable stay. **Staff & Service** The staff were always smiling, very kind, and full of hospitality, making my stay very pleasant. The service at the Executive Lounge and restaurants was also polite and reassuring. **Room & View** The room was clean with a calm, modern interior. The bed was comfortable, and the large window offered beautiful views of Cebu city and the evening sunset. **Rooftop Pool & Bar** The infinity pool and bar on the top floor offered breathtaking night views, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the night breeze. **Dining & Executive Lounge** The breakfast buffet and lounge food offered a wide variety and high quality. From local traditional sweets (like Puso, mangoes, and chocolate sauce) to Western dishes like pasta, everything was delicious and enjoyable. **Location & Surroundings** Parkmall is right in front of the hotel, so shopping, dining, and currency exchange were never an issue. Access to the airport and the city center is also excellent. This hotel is highly recommended as a base for exploring Cebu, whether for business or leisure. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Cebu next time!

The room was very clean. It had a luxurious feel, and when we checked in, we were offered a tropical drink. There are casinos and a shopping mall nearby, so I think you'll have a comfortable stay.

This stay was truly perfect for a family trip ❤️ The hotel is right on the beachfront, with comfortable and clean surroundings. Opening the window reveals an endless sea view; just relaxing in the hotel is a treat. What I loved most was the hotel's diverse swimming pools. Both adults and kids can find their favorite way to have fun. Swimming and playing in the water during the day, then strolling along the beach in the evening—it's pure vacation mode 🌊 Dining is also super convenient. They used to offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you hardly needed to make special plans to enjoy the whole day at the hotel. In the evening, you could even head to the bar for Happy Hour, enjoy a drink, and feel the sea breeze—so relaxing. For a family vacation, I think the most important things are convenience, cleanliness, and comfort, ensuring both adults and kids have a great time.

We had a wonderful stay at Mercure Mactan and were very happy with our experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located in Mactan Newtown, where there are plenty of food options, restaurants, and cafes, all just a short walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were also celebrating a birthday during our stay, and the hotel kindly prepared a simple cake for us, which we really appreciated. It was a lovely little touch that made the celebration more special. Another great thing is that guests can enjoy access to the pool and beach in Mactan Newtown, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only area that could be improved is the breakfast selection, but it wasn’t a major issue and didn’t take away from our overall experience. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back!

The island was beautiful and we really loved the place. However, I was disappointed with the drone policy. Even though I already had a permit, drone flying was only allowed in one specific area, which did not feel safe because it was surrounded by water. It would be better to provide safer and more flexible flying locations for visitors with approved permits.

The Hotel and staff did really well during the Sinulog festival! They organised workshop and provided gifts and souvenirs. It is also very close to one of the main festival areas. The only disappointment was the kaldereta we ordered from the kitchen which was ridiculously small amount (1 piece of meat). However there are many restaurants nearby. Hairdryer needs extra payment of 100 peso per night.

I love this place because it is a big property with many different parts and things to do. There really many pools, an aqua park, an inflatable island on a large pool, a game room, a bar, a restaurant, a souvenir shop (that also sells basic medicines and toiletry needs), bathrooms, a garden, the beach front. If you are a family with children of different ages and even if you have grandparents in tow, this would be perfect. They’re not stingy with lounge chairs either and in one pool, you can play volleyball. Their rooms are good sized and comes with a small ref, hair dryer, a carafe and free tea and coffee. Their breakfast buffet is awesome with sooo many food and drinks to choose from. There is a BDO cash machine and their staff are very helpful and polite. Grab food are not allowed to deliver at the lobby, they can only make it to the gate of the property and while it is not far to walk there, you can ask for free shuttle to bring you to the gate to claim your order and then back to the lobby. They also take credit cards and water stations on each floor where you can refill your water bottles. There are 2 large water bottles in each room. I think the one issue I have is - I perceived this resort to be family friendly because of the many kinds of activities for different ages but our rooms came with bathrooms that has glass wall where a person outside the bathroom can pull up the blinds. I mean, why? When I booked the rooms, it didn’t mention that the bathroom would be like that. I wish they would provide a distinction during booking so that people who don’t want bathrooms to be like that can avoid it.

My wife and I stayed for 4 days, where she also met up with family and relaxed. Whenever we go to Cebu, this is the hotel we stay at most often. The transportation and surrounding commercial area are convenient and good. Although it's an older hotel, they pay a lot of attention to the breakfast, haha. It's a comfortable hotel with almost no price changes even during peak season.

We had a very pleasant stay at Tsai Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my visit. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The hotel's location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation. We I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which made my stay relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, Tsai Hotel provided great value for money with excellent service and comfortable accommodations. It's a mixed bag. The location is excellent, offering a different, good sea every day. For safe swimming, you need to follow the tide schedule. The hotel grounds and plants are very well maintained; they're beautiful and clean. There's a long stretch of beach for strolls. Logistically convenient – there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops selling travel essentials, and a market with fresh produce nearby. A major drawback is the large construction site nearby, which can be heard all day, especially in the bungalows nearby. The rooms and bungalows are in fair condition. However, there are some serious downsides: every other day, it was impossible to shower due to low water pressure; when the pressure was low, the water heater wouldn't turn on; and the water had a strong sewer smell. At breakfast, the restaurant won't offer you salt, pepper, or sauces unless you ask. Drinks include juice from concentrate or coffee. Only after a week did we discover they offer tea for breakfast. The breakfast is very basic, and there's no fruit at all, which is surprising given the price of fruit on the island. There was trash on the beach all week, just a little bit, washed up by the sea. It was cleaned up quickly, as it didn't require much effort. But why is the beach cleaned only once a week? The hotel website advertises a shuttle service, but I advise against it. Personal experience: I sent a text message and email to the hotel on time; our ferry departed at 5:30 PM. We arrived on the island around 7:00 PM. We weren't met. We got there ourselves. A hotel security guard met us at the hotel and gave us our room keys. It immediately became clear that the light switch in the bathroom was causing lightning and could shock us, and the water heater wasn't working. The security guard said, ”Take this up with the management tomorrow; my concern is safety.” Information about room problems is not passed on to the management. So, we spent the first night without hot water or power in the bathroom. After we contacted them, they gave us a working room mid-way through the second day. They didn't apologize for the missed shuttle service, and they didn't offer the stated compensation for our independent transfer. Moreover, I received a welcome email from the hotel after only one day of my stay. The hotel has adequate staff, and the people are positive and friendly. However, management, quality control, and leadership are seriously flawed. The rooms are overloaded with text reminders, rules, and restrictions, many of which would be confusing to a normal person. Or does the hotel manager think only people with dementia stay at their hotel? Reminders and restrictions are completely unnecessary if guests are greeted promptly and the necessary information is provided electronically in their native language.
