AAnonymous UserChoosing an ocean view room was an excellent decision! The room was clean and lovely. It's connected to a mall with many luxury boutiques and restaurants inside. For Korean food, I highly recommend Yeonhwa on the second floor of the mall. Having a Starbucks nearby was a huge plus! Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shabu-shabu place. Besides the mall, the hotel's breakfast buffet offered dozens of great options, and the Italian restaurant was absolutely delicious. I had a wonderful stay! 💗

LLilia PedejeroMy family and I recently stayed at Crimson for a night, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. My daughter absolutely loved the place, and the only word she could repeatedly say was, “AMAZING.”
The buffet breakfast was outstanding, especially the wide variety of options available for kids. It was thoughtful touches like these that made our stay even more enjoyable. The foam party at the infinity pool was also a big highlight and added so much fun and excitement for the children.
What truly made our stay memorable was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating, warm, and approachable throughout our visit. During checkout, a piece of luggage belonging to a guest from Room 619 was accidentally loaded into our car. As soon as we discovered it, we immediately contacted the concierge, and the taxi driver kindly returned it to the hotel right away.
Overall, we had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at the resort. Thank you for the excellent service and experience — we would gladly return and highly recommend Crimson to others.

GGuest UserDespite it being the off-season in August, the check-in efficiency at the front desk was still terrible, especially having to queue up even after 6 PM. The hotel's location is quite remote; its only advantage is the quick 30-minute drive to the airport. The ocean water wasn't as beautiful as I imagined. The infinity pool design is decent, but it's a style that was popular a few years ago. Room maintenance is mediocre; the minibar light was broken and stayed on even when the door was closed. Although the curtains were overlapping, the installation was poor, making it impossible to fully close the overlapping section. The hotel, which opened three years ago, already has mold spots on the interior walls.

Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the hotel.
What I liked:
* The room is very spacious and clean.
* The staff are warm, friendly, and accommodating.
* The swimming pools are well-maintained.
* The hotel feels very secure and safe.
Areas for improvement:
* Parking area: The parking area was flooded with stagnant water. I hope management can install a visible caution sign to warn guests. In my experience, I was unable to use my car at night because the water surrounding my vehicle was too deep to safely pass through.
* Bathtub safety: I strongly recommend providing a rubber anti-slip mat in the bathtubs. The surface can be very slippery and may pose a safety risk, especially for senior citizens.
* For guests traveling with seniors: I suggest informing the hotel in advance so they can provide a room closer to the pool or common areas and, if possible, a room with a bathroom that does not have a bathtub.
Overall, it was a good stay, and I appreciate the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. I hope management can address these safety concerns to make the experience even better, especially for families traveling with elderly guests.

WwarliexploresI had a wonderful stay at Mercure Mactan Cebu! What I particularly love about this hotel is its excellent location within Mactan Newtown, one of the most convenient areas to stay in Mactan. Restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and other establishments are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area without having to travel far.
The location is also ideal for those who want to enjoy Mactan while remaining close to the airport and other attractions on the island. I especially appreciate the convenience of having practically everything within reach.
Overall, Mercure Mactan Cebu is a great choice for both leisure and business travelers. Its strategic location in Mactan Newtown is definitely one of its biggest advantages. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe Hotel and staff did really well during the Sinulog festival! They organised workshop and provided gifts and souvenirs. It is also very close to one of the main festival areas. The only disappointment was the kaldereta we ordered from the kitchen which was ridiculously small amount (1 piece of meat). However there are many restaurants nearby. Hairdryer needs extra payment of 100 peso per night.

Bluewater Sumilon Island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve visited. The private island setting, surrounded by clear waters, creates a unique and relaxing experience. We also appreciated that the resort provides complimentary boat transfers for checked-in guests. The transfer was smooth, organized, and only took around 15 minutes.
Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with complete amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although our assigned room was quite far from the main areas, the resort’s shuttle service helped make transportation easier.
The food exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of choices. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. The activity guides, lifeguards, restaurant staff, and service personnel were consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were approachable and attentive to our requests throughout our stay.
We also had an unexpected medical situation involving one of our senior companions, and we were grateful that there was a nurse on duty. The assistance and care provided were professional and reassuring, especially since the incident happened in the evening.
However, there were also areas that could be improved.
Our experience with the reception staff was disappointing compared to the excellent service provided by the rest of the team. Communication felt rushed, and at times multiple guests were being addressed simultaneously, which came across as unprofessional and less welcoming.
The resort shuttle service also seemed overwhelmed during peak hours. With many guests needing transportation around the island, waiting times became longer. Adding more service vehicles could significantly improve convenience, especially for seniors, children, and guests with mobility concerns.
Our biggest concern was the lack of exclusivity despite the resort’s positioning as a premium private island destination. The resort accommodates a large number of day-tour guests who share many of the same facilities. As a result, areas such as the sandbar, swimming pools, and lounge spaces often felt crowded. There were times when finding available benches or fully enjoying the facilities became difficult because of the volume of day visitors.
For a resort that markets itself as a luxury private island experience, this was quite disappointing. While we understand the value of day tours for the business, overnight guests paying premium rates should ideally enjoy a more exclusive experience and better access to resort facilities.
Overall, Bluewater Sumilon Island offers stunning scenery, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from most of its staff. However, improvements in guest exclusivity, transportation availability, and front desk service would greatly enhance the overall experience and better justify its premium pricing.

EEntengInaMoSolea Resort is an ideal destination for families. The resort offers an impressive range of amenities, including multiple swimming pools that kept everyone entertained throughout the day. The kids especially loved the free access to the water park, inflatable water features, and kayaks.
The rooms are a decent size with comfortable layouts for a family stay. However, housekeeping could improve, the bathroom sink area had visible mineral buildup, water stains, and grime on the faucet that needed a deeper cleaning.
Overall, it is a fantastic, action-packed resort for kids and families, provided the staff pays a bit more attention to bathroom cleanliness.

The design strikes that perfect, delicate balance between rustic charm and thoughtful luxury. It doesn’t feel manufactured; it feels lived-in and deeply cared for.
The Lobby: Less of a reception area and more of a grand living room. There is a massive stone fireplace that burns all day, surrounded by mismatched leather armchairs, stacks of vintage board games, and a self-serve tea station with local honey.
The Lighting: You won't find a single harsh, white bulb here. Everything is soft amber, candlelight, and the amber glow of Edison bulbs, which instantly coaxes your brain into relaxation mode.
The Room: A Sanctuary of Comfort
The bed deserves its own dedicated review. Layered with crisp linen sheets, a heavy down comforter, and a chunky knit weighted blanket, it felt like sleeping inside a cloud.

The Nook: A deep, velvet window seat packed with plush pillows, perfectly positioned to watch the morning mist roll over the tree line.
The Bath: A deep, freestanding copper soaking tub. They provide small jars of handmade cedarwood and lavender bath salts that made the entire room smell like a woodland spa.
The Details: No plastic water bottles or generic tech. Instead, there was a vintage-style Marshall Bluetooth speaker playing soft acoustic jazz when we walked in, a ceramic electric kettle, and freshly baked shortbread cookies waiting on a ceramic plate.
