Hotels in Binhu Wanda, Wuxi

I arrived at noon to check in. The front desk asked if I had booked through the platform. I said yes, and they told me I would receive a check-in verification SMS. During this time, I asked if the room was fully booked for the day and if I could upgrade. They said no! Then I received a message about registering as a member. I asked why it was a registration message. I told the front desk I had already registered as a member and gave them my phone number. They replied that I wasn't a member. I considered showing them my Atour app login screen, but decided it was pointless. The front desk asked if I had booked a room without breakfast. They said yes, because my family member is also an Atour member and has a complimentary breakfast voucher in their account. I gave them my phone number, but they still said I wasn't a member (how could I have a complimentary breakfast voucher if I wasn't a member?). I thought it was pointless to waste time arguing about breakfast and asked to check in directly. However, they completely refused to meet my requirements when I booked through the platform. The room is next to the elevator, the fire escape, and faces the cleaning staff's work area. Fine! Since they discriminate against customers who book through Ctrip, why don't they just leave the platform? There are many ways to complete the registration task; you chose the lowest way to humiliate customers who book through the platform. Ridiculous! I've stayed at Atour hotels in more than ten cities, and this one is definitely unique! Excluding the front desk issue, the cleanliness of Atour's rooms is generally reliable. Although there is construction nearby and constant noise, it is understandable and I would give it a good review. However, I would definitely give it a bad review if I focused on the front desk!

This hotel was a very cheap price which is why I stayed here. 24 US Dollars!! For the price I wasn't expecting much and really can't complain. I had an okay stay. The bed was pleasant and clean, shower was okay enough, TV was fine. Floor was quiet enough. Some kids were being a bit crazy and making a lot of noise but was all good. A drinking party perhaps but they did not bother me. I woke up late and did not try the breakfast so I cannot speak to that. All in all I had a pleasant enough stay and really enjoyed my day in the area. The fantastic Wanda mall is walking distance away and has tons of great shops and a huge IMAX theater. Lots of good food, coffee, ice cream etc. If you are looking for somewhere cheap to crash in Wuxi I can recommend it. The manager was very sweet and even stopped me to give me a couple cans of Pepsi on the way out as a gift haha. Would stay again if I needed to be in this area.

The hotel is new and well-located, with convenient access to buses and taxis right outside. The room facilities are clean and complete, and the front desk service is very professional. Atour is always my top choice for business trips!

This is my second time staying at the Wuxi Grand Hotel. It's an older hotel with older facilities, but the transportation is convenient and the price is affordable. Dining options are also good. Overall, I still think it's a good place to stay. I have a suggestion for the hotel, especially now that more elderly travelers are staying in hotels. For their safety, I recommend adding rooms with walk-in showers. Currently, showering in a bathtub with an overhead shower is not safe for seniors; it's difficult for them to step in and out, the tub and floor can be slippery, and there are no grab bars. This really needs improvement. Once that's addressed, I'll definitely come back to the Wuxi Grand Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for the Wuxi Marathon, and the service was absolutely fantastic! The hotel really went above and beyond for the race, paying attention to every detail, and I was genuinely touched. 1️⃣ Upon check-in, the front desk gave us a bag of drinks and snacks, wished us good luck with the race, and provided a transportation guide for the event. 2️⃣ Breakfast was specially moved up to 5 AM, allowing participants to eat at the hotel in time. The breakfast itself was clean, with plenty of carbs and protein. 3️⃣ Check-out was extended to 2:30 PM, so after finishing the full marathon, I was able to come back, shower, and leave feeling refreshed and comfortable. 4️⃣ When we returned after the race, the hotel had a table set up with bananas, yogurt, and brown sugar ginger tea to welcome us. A staff member greeted us warmly, offered us tea, and even pressed the elevator button for us.

Location & Transportation: ”The hotel is conveniently located right next to an intersection, making it easy to get in and out. Although it faces the street, it's very well soundproofed.” Room Experience: ”We stayed in a twin room, and it was more spacious than we expected. The mattress was just the right firmness, and there were two pillow options: down and buckwheat. The shower had excellent water pressure, and hot water came quickly.” Cleanliness: ”Overall, it was very clean, and the bedding was spotless white. However, there were some old stains on the carpet edges and a small amount of limescale in the bathroom corners.”

The owner is very nice and easy to talk to when changing rooms. The cats and dogs are adorable. During lunchtime, there was no one at the front desk, and the dog barked at us, but in the afternoon it came to sniff our shoes but didn't bite or bark. It seems to recognize people quite well. I was visiting Wuxi and after looking around nearby hotels, I chose the newly renovated Hanting. I originally booked two nights, but ended up staying just one. Located on Taihu Avenue, it's conveniently located. The front desk staff was generally friendly, though they were a bit overly helpful when asking guests to scan a QR code on their phones during check-in. The room, with its easy-to-care-for plastic, looked very clean. The soundproofing was poor, and as a light sleeper, I could clearly hear my neighbors talking in the middle of the night. The couple upstairs weren't arguing, but they were crying until 2 or 3 a.m.

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway. Amenities: A self-service washing machine and dryer are provided, which is very convenient. The room was very quiet; you couldn't hear traffic outside, which was quite nice. However, the air conditioner in the room was in serious need of maintenance. It was loud and noisy all night long, making it impossible to sleep. It was so noisy and disruptive to our sleep. We arrived late at night, so we didn't notice it at first, even when talking. But by the time we got to bed, the noise was incredibly noticeable. Environment: The room was very clean. Service: The front desk lady was very helpful and promptly addressed any needs. One night, for some reason, the door kept beeping when I closed it. I tried several times but it didn't work. I called front desk, and they told me to fix it, so we sent for engineering. After several attempts, it fixed it, so I called back. They said they'd still send for engineering. When the engineer arrived, perhaps because it was too late, he was very rude and gave us a lecture. Seriously, we paid for it. Even if you're angry about making a wasted trip during business hours, you should still be polite. It really disrupts your mood. Let me tell you about the air conditioner. It's really loud.

The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are very spacious. The style is reminiscent of a state-run guesthouse, focusing on affordability. The surrounding snack options are decent, and since I was traveling with elders, they were quite satisfied. It's a good fit for seniors who aren't too particular about modern decor. From the outside, it looks unassuming, but it's actually quite large inside, with several buildings and even robot room service. If the hotel could upgrade its facilities and ambiance, it would be even more popular. For younger guests, it might feel like a blast from the 90s. It's also conveniently located for sightseeing. I recommend visiting Huishan Ancient Town; the night view is stunning, and the old houses in the daytime have their own unique charm.
