This is a very nice facility with indoor pool, but staff attitudes were extremely poor. I witnessed several rude interactions with other guests and heard reports of several more. We booked the best room in the place for a week (King Suite with veranda over the pool and jetted tub), but our keys timed out every day until I complained...no excuse for that. Both day and night shift employees shared the same poor attitude, but it was the gal on nights who was just plain rude and off putting, being on the phone with friends more than anything else. The person who appeared to be the day manager was a bit better. All the staff allowed some pretty shady characters they seemed to know to hang out in the back parking lot in their cars for hours on end. These were not guests but probably the local drug dealer posting up in his usual location. That happened every day, well into the evening hours. The motel is located away from the historic downtown, across the river near restaurants, Wal-Mart, etc. It's a great location as it's very easy to drive or ride out of town without fighting traffic. Breakfast does not even qualify as ”continental” with only packaged cereal, packaged danishes, coffee and juice. Without adding to employee work load, the motel could easily add fresh fruit, and many comparable motels offer a LOT more than that. We ate breakfast there ONE morning just to get on the road as quickly as possible; other than that, the offerings weren't even worth the effort of walking into the dining space. Our bed was our biggest problem: In the best room in the place, we got a King mattress that I can only describe as ”sacked out” and very hard. By the time our staff was complete, I had lower back and hip pain. I don't have those problems; it was the bed. That bed is one of the key reasons someone would rent that room at a premium price. The other significant reason to rent the (King suite with veranda and jetted tub) room is, obviously, the jetted tub. Using it was so laborious that we stopped trying after the second use. The faucet's flow was SO slow that it takes AT LEAST half an hour to fill to where the jets are covered when you get in the tub (which is required to turn on the jets, obviously). To get anything like reasonable fill times, I was using the ice bucket to transfer buckets of water from the sink nearby. It still took at least 20 minutes to fill the tub. That's just ridiculous. There was plenty of water pressure and volume in the sink, toilet, and shower; so, it's a problem with the tub fixtures or plumbing, not water supply to the room. I was also unpleasantly surprised that the most expensive room in the motel had a mini-fridge without any freezer at all. That's not premium. During our stay, a storm passed through the area and knocked out all but one leg of 110V power to the motel. This left many rooms without power and knocked out WiFi service and the satellite TV service for more than a day, well after power was restored. Even though power was still in the building, staff did nothing at all to temporarily connect either WiFi or satellite systems to the working power (with an extension cord to the equipment or similar). Lots of tenants left the motel, especially family guests. Staff allowed tenants with power to continue to use AC units in their rooms even though they were surely damaged by running on a single leg of power (on a 220V unit)...that's just irresponsible (although I understand it from a customer service point of view). The pool looks nice, but we didn't use it. It was closed at odd times even though it was supposed to be open 10am to 10pm. On our arrival day, for instance, it was already closed at dinner time (and remained so the whole evening). The hot tub space in the pool area has been bricked up; it doesn't exist now. Housekeeping was very good and extremely responsive to requests. I'd give the motel a 3 of 5 stars at best which is a shame since it's a nice facility with great location.

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center

We had a work conference here over the weekend, so no choice in where we stay as there was a block rate for rooms. From pictures it looked like it was going to be a very nice stay in a good location close to Polaris. Parking is very slim here when there are multiple conferences going on and we had to park in the overflow lot several times. When we checked in the clerk was very friendly and we had no issues. We had a King Suite w/ Sofa Sleeper Room. The room was average at best, the carpet didn't look like it had been swept with crumbs and such on it. The bed was hard as a rock with lumpy pillows (probably the worst 3 nights of sleep I have had in a long time). The A/C/Heater is so loud its like an airplane coming into land and woke us up every single time it kicked on. It was so bad the 3rd night we slept with it completely shut off. The bathroom was very small and I had no hot water when showering for the 3 days I was here. I feel like they dont have a large enough water heating system to properly supply hot water when the hotel is at capacity which it was this weekend. The water pressure was also weak and hard to rinse the soap of your hair or body. It is not ideal on how the bathroom is set up either as I needed to be up early for my conference daily while my family was trying to sleep. There is no door in the sink area so you have to blind the rest of the room to get ready, there is only a small pocket door that closes for the shower and toilet. Poor design if you're traveling with others. The conference facilty is across from the hotel section and you have to walk outside to get there. There were multiple conferences going on and we were in the rear portion, the conference area is clean and well maintained. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and we had no tables which made for two days of classroom learning pretty miserable, not sure if the hotel it to blame or our organization on this one, but other rooms appeared to have nicer chairs and table set up. The food that was served for the conference was excellent quality and there were always cold and hot drinks available which was very nice. The Bar area was huge and poured good drinks, the worst part again is it is not connected to the hotel and you do have to walk outside to get there. The Fitness Center was great and had everything you could need for a hotel gym, treadmills, bikes, elliptical, water machine, towels etc. Overall I would not choose to stay here for a trip unless it was necessary for the conference as the hotel room quality was not up to par.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights with two dogs and booked a 2 bed room. Check in went smooth and the property was well kept, but not near much. In fact, it's next door to a farm, so overall the hotel was pretty quiet. There's nothing really walking distance since it's on a busy road, but there are a few things close and a lot within 5-10 minute drive. The room was very clean, well lit, modern decor and the furniture was in good condition. The fridge and microwave were clean and working well. The room wasn't big, but we knew that about Microtels. There was enough room for a cage and our luggage, so it was small, but not horrible. The ledge by the window was great for storing bags. The beds were comfortable although they only had a thin top sheet, not much to the linens. There were a ton of pillows though! The wifi worked pretty well for our devices. The bathroom was decent size with a large enough counter for our stuff. They offered the basic toiletries and provided a lot of big fluffy towels. Shower pressure and temp was fine. It was a pretty quiet, uneventful stay which is all we needed. I'd come back.

It started out really bad like the commercial on tv, with the mom waving at her children across the hotel lot. They corrected the error and we ended up in a suite of five beds. The check in time is at three in the afternoon instead of letting you choose. The service for the room was very awesome. Thank you
DoubleTree by Hilton Cleveland - Independence

Not a bad place to stay, just feel I could have gotten more at another place for a better price. I selected double tree for the name, but wasn't overly impressed with anything they did compared to other places at less cost. Not holding this against them either, but we got an early wake up on our last night due to a fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night.

I am writing this review from the hotel lobby at 12:11am. I dropped my bags off at 2pm and was given a luggage tag and told my room would be ready shortly. I was told I would be called when my room was ready. It was confirmed and there was no question that I was here and ready to check in. I went on with my planned activities including my dinner plans and now coming back to the hotel have been told they have no room for me. I have never ever had such an experience. They have offered to relocate me to a hotel outside If Cincinnati. This was a quick vacation trip totally ruined by this hotel experience. Under no circumstances will I ever book this hotel chain again. They massively overbooked and have relocated many guests. I have been told on the side by a sympathetic employee that this is standard procedure. NEVER BOOK 21C!!!

dorel radoiu 1/5 Paid in full when booked with parksleepfly.com for 2 nights stay and 1week parking having the airport shuttle included per description. When arrived at hotel nightmare started Called 2 days prior arrival to confirm I’ll have a shuttle at 4am When got at the location I was handed a voucher to call a shuttle company which told me they can come to pick me up before ,,about’’ 4:45 After I hit to the room I open up my online banking to make a payment for an outstanding bill And noticed a charge from the hotel for another 144$ even my stay was paid in full they told me they need my credit card for incidentals which I understood not from that to charging me on the spot for incidentals when I just checked in … it’s a long way I decided I cannot risk just getting a cab in the morning so I left together with my car at 3 am and used parknfly service Nightmare continued 2 days after I noticed 2 more charges in my credit card account from comfort inn one of 122.43 and one of 122.73 Called the hotel and tried to sort it out I was told all the charges are reversed Partially true because the charge of 122.73 is still in my account and I am still good to pay it. So Beware poor service dirty room and credit card scam ! If this is the way this business is surviving all I can say is Shame on you! Trip typeVacation Rooms1.0Service1.0Location2.0

In the city centre, parking is charged. It can be seen that the hotel has been positioned high-end in the past, but as time goes by, the facilities are old and no longer the style of the year. The service is OK, there are a lot of people downstairs.

We stayed here for 4 nights, and as it turns out - over a weekend when there was a youth soccer event nearby. Based on the parking lot - this hotel was packed with soccer families, and still we had a very pleasant stay. Every morning there was plenty of hot breakfast offerings from 6 – 10am. There were actually 4 different hot offerings on each of the 4 days. They have an attendant focused on the breakfast area, so replenishments were often, and she even helped keep the tables clean. That was remarkable considering how full this hotel was. As far as the room – we were quite pleased. On our first night there – a overhead bathroom florescent light went out in the bathroom. I talked to the manager, who saw to it that the light was replaced quickly. The bathroom was very neatly laid out, 4 of every towel, with a very big counter around the sink. The shower was always very hot, and the water flow was superb. We loved the comfy beds with all the extra pillows, and our evenings were quite quiet - even with a full hotel of kids. Since we stayed for 4 nights, we opted to not have our room cleaned during our stay. Towel exchange was easy peasy as expected. We opted not to use the indoor pool, nor the exercise room. Another thing I really liked here was the free internet speed. I was there on a Thursday night, and I wanted to watch the Thursday night football game which can only be streamed through Prime. I watched the entire game on my phone through the hotel's internet, without skipping a beat. I thought that was amazing, because usually a hotels free internet is iffy at best, let alone a continuous stream. Not here. I would easily stay here again on my next trip to this area. When I find a hotel that puts in this kind of effort to make my stay a pleasant experience – I’m in!
