We had a great stay here. Very friendly and helpful service. Very kid friendly. We arrived on Christmas Day so they had a dinner buffet with lots of snacks for the kids and beautiful Guzheng and flute performance. Daily afternoon snacks with local sweets.
The heating was a bit strong but they were happy to turn off the floor heating for us and we just opened the window to let cold air in.
Unfortunately, they couldn't accommodate my husband's allergy request which is to not have down blankets since he can sneeze with those. My husband just dealt with it.
The taps for the bathroom sink and bathtub were both wobbly so they need to fix that.
Location is excellent. Short walk away from Shichahai and there's a subway station right outside that can get you anywhere. Pretty easy to call for a taxi/Didi as well.
Breakfast buffet has a small selection of items but very tasty. They also had Beijing local food like 豆汁 so saves you from looking for it. That and their daily afternoon snacks and pastries served at breakfast seems to be from the pastry shop that's been around since the 1700s. So again, saves you from making that trip yourself.
Would definitely come back. Had a great stay here.
The room with the bathtub is a lot larger and very comfy. We thought it was well worth the extra money to get the bigger space. Especially with a child in tow.
We absolutely loved our stay at Junhefu Courtyard Hotel. The staff went above and beyond in every way. We have a toddler who is a serious fruit lover, and every time she cleared the fruit plate in our room, they would restock it without hesitation. It was such a small gesture, but it showed how thoughtful and attentive they are. Honestly, I would stay again just for the service alone.
And the location—wow. Don’t underestimate what the Hutongs have to offer! Staying here ended up being the highlight of our trip. Wandering the surrounding alleyways was magical: authentic, full of life, and best of all, incredibly safe. If you want to truly feel the cultural heart of Beijing, this is the place to stay.
A small note for light sleepers: the rooms aren’t very sound insulated, so noise can travel. We managed fine with our toddler thanks to a sound machine, but it’s worth being aware of.
Overall, we would absolutely book again. A beautiful cultural experience with some of the kindest staff we’ve ever encountered.
This hotel boasts a fantastic location, just a five-minute walk from Shichahai! The room amenities are incredibly thoughtful, and the decor colors are very soothing. If you need anything, just call out to Xiao Ai (the smart assistant), and there's a free laundry room available. Although the room size is a bit small, everything else is truly outstanding! A special thanks to the cleaning staff who found my forgotten iPad and promptly notified the front desk. They even arranged for a delivery service to bring it to me. The service was absolutely impeccable~

The hotel is incredibly close to Gulou Dajie subway station (remember to take Exit E), just a 200-300 meter walk. It's right by the North 2nd Ring Road, making it super convenient to catch a taxi even late at night. If location is a priority, I highly recommend this place.
However, there are a few downsides. The biggest issue is that the room was very cold, especially at night, which was quite uncomfortable. The room is also very small; it would be a struggle to fit luggage for two people. Furthermore, I pressed the 'make up room' button for two consecutive days, but the room was never cleaned when I returned. It seems that button is just for show, and you actually have to go to the front desk and ask in person. Also, the XiaoDu smart assistant in the room couldn't successfully call the front desk; you'll need to use your own phone to look up the number and call them. These were very inconvenient aspects.
I stayed in mid-December, and the price was around 450 RMB per night, for your reference.
The hotel is great and it is located in one of the oldest residences in Shicahai Beijing. Walking distance to the main street of Nanluoguxiang Street too. There is a nearby train station and many exit points for Didi travel. Walking distance to the Bell and Drum towers which are beautiful! The hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs and they are super friendly. The breakfast spread is also wonderful, as if you are dining in a 5 star hotel, from Western spreads to Eastern dining. This place features a cosy outdoor seating area too and it is comfortably heated. Best of all, the hotel rooms allow for individual changes on the air conditioner! BIG PLUS! the views we have are indoor which are fine as there are natural lighting that comes from above. We feel safe with this culturally rich and modern hotel. At our last day, we receive help for our luggage, we had 8 couples with us on this trip and that can amount to a lot of large luggage. They offered a large trolley to help us pull into the main roads for our final trip to the airport. This is worth mentioning. Will sure pick this place again when we return. Did I mention that they offer up to 4 bottles of water in each room, complementary with two cans of drinks daily!
The room was small with very limited space for belongings, which was inconvenient for travelers with a lot of luggage or personal items. The shower's glass door didn't close properly, causing water to spray out during showers. The sink faucet was positioned too far forward, making it awkward to wash hands and face. Also, the toilet paper holder was poorly placed, causing the entire roll to easily fall to the floor. The floors had quite a bit of dust and hair. On the plus side, the location is near a city center subway station, making it very convenient for visiting popular attractions.
The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff, both the young men and women, provided excellent service. The location is fantastic, with a great restaurant right next door, making it very convenient for getting around. The front desk staff even granted us a late check-out! Very satisfied!
Choosing the right hotel when traveling with kids is so important! This place is simply amazing. They had children's picture books and small toys ready in the room beforehand, which kept my baby entertained from the moment we checked in. For breakfast, there were special kids' utensils, and the server even brought a small cake for my child. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the scenic area, and free parking is super convenient. The bathroom also has safety grab bars, which is a great relief for older family members traveling with children. The staff were incredibly patient with the kids, always greeting us with a smile. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next family trip with my parents!
Facilities: There's a fridge, fresh water is provided daily, and we barely needed the AC because the room itself was so warm!
Hygiene: Good hygiene, pretty clean, though there was a slight smell from the drain.
Environment: Very good! It's right in Nanluoguxiang, so it's super convenient to get everywhere! That's a huge plus.
Service: Excellent! All the ladies were smiling and very gentle~
Overall, this Beijing trip was very enjoyable. No issues with the accommodation, the location is great, and the room was quiet and peaceful! A very pleasant experience.
This is a great hotel, within walking distance of both bus and subway stations. The hotel's front entrance isn't very conspicuous though; I walked past it twice before finding the place. It's also within walking distance of the Drum Tower, Shichahai, Guijie Street, and Yonghe Temple. The facilities are quite new, which was one of the reasons I chose it, based on the renovation date. It's excellent. I ordered takeout a few times, and having a robot deliver it to my room was very convenient. When I checked in, they mentioned my room was a bit small, and it indeed wasn't huge, but for one person, it was just right. The only downside was that the window faced a fire escape, which meant a lack of privacy, but I understand that's unavoidable. The hotel doesn't offer meals, but there are plenty of local restaurants nearby, as well as fast-food options like McDonald's and a 7-Eleven. Another reason I chose this hotel was the availability of laundry and drying machines. If you buy bento boxes, you can use the microwave on the 2nd floor. I had wanted to try some local frozen foods, but unfortunately, there was no air fryer. I had a wonderful 7-night stay.
Off-topic: I was so lucky to experience Beijing's first snow!

Zzw218218This new hotel, Xin Yuan 1875, is super conveniently located in a historic old house on Yandai Xie Street. Just two minutes north from Exit A2 of Shichahai subway station, you'll see its two-story building on the corner to the west of the Yandai Xie Street archway. Its rich decor perfectly complements its unique history and proximity to Shichahai Lake, the Drum Tower, Nanluoguxiang, Guangfu Temple, and Dashibei Hutong. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing, leisure, and enjoying local snacks. There aren't many rooms, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. The furnishings are interesting; flipping through 'Beijing Customs' in the cabinet gives a real sense of old Beijing. From the head of the bed, you get a close-up view of the magnificent Drum Tower filling the window. The shower's fine, soft water streams are wonderfully comfortable, reminding one of the area's famous old bathhouses. It would be even better if there was some information about the history of those bathhouses. I'd definitely come back.
MM452411****This courtyard hotel we chose in Beijing was absolutely wonderful! The environment is ancient and elegant, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the bedding is very comfortable. The fully smart room controls are super convenient, and the staff's service is attentive and warm, making you feel right at home. There are also many attractions around the hotel; it's about a ten-minute walk to Shichahai, and there are plenty of great food options like copper pot hotpot and stewed offal with bread. Getting around is also convenient, with subway and bus stops nearby. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserComfortable and clean, with excellent and patient service at the front desk. They even allowed us to pre-order packages to the hotel, which was a great convenience. The location is also fantastic; it's less than a five-minute walk to Huguosi Street, which has tons of great food. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is located in a *hutong* (alleyway), so large buses can't enter, and there are time restrictions for vehicle access. A nice bonus is the free arcade machine next to the reception area!
BBaxiaojilifangwanStaying at this hotel next to Prince Gong's Mansion was incredibly worth it! Step outside and you're greeted by the stunning scenery of red walls and black tiles, and opening the window offers a glimpse into the ancient charm of the mansion – the views are absolutely breathtaking. Even more delightful was the front desk service; the young lady had such a sweet smile, proactively helped us plan our sightseeing route, and even thoughtfully offered us hot towels. The attention to detail was exceptional. The room was clean and tidy, making for a perfect experience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!
GGuest UserThe hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and friendly staff.
The location is excellent, located in a traditional and beautiful hutong close to the forbidden city.
The room was spacious for a couple and had everything for a pleasant stay.
Tom and Misa were very helpful during my stay, both of them are friendly and recommended a lot of activities to do and see in Beijing.
For the first day we received a courtesy breakfast, I really recommend the breakfast at this hotel, it's delicious.
For my next visit to Beijing I'll not hesitate to book this hotel again, I really recommend this hotel.
Wwxyjay919It is a ten-minute walk from Ping'anli subway station. In the alley, out of the alley is Huguosi Snack Street, you can walk to Prince Gong's Mansion and Beihai Park.
Nice place: the safety factor is very high, you must have a door card to enter. There is an electric card in the room, and there is air conditioning in the house in summer. Who knows this feeling? ~~ Don't wait for the air conditioner to cool down, it is not too comfortable. The bathroom is dry and wet. The design is very reasonable. The overall feeling is very good.
Insufficient: Hutong location, the car may not be easy to stop at the door, there is no elevator.
Finally, I specially named and praised: recently, Beijing has been raining, and the hotel is intimate to even the small electric parked at the door to help cover it, afraid of getting wet. And the car seat and the handle are covered. It's so intimate. The service is serious and attentive, the series sees the real chapter! ! ! It's a big praise.

The stay experience is very satisfactory! The hotel is conveniently located, the room is clean and tidy, and the bedding is comfortable. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast is rich in variety. The price-performance ratio is very high, and I will choose here next time. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is slightly poor, but it does not affect the rest overall. Recommended!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent. The Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is opposite the hotel. To the west is Nanluoguxiang and Beihai Park. It is a good place to stay whether for medical treatment or sightseeing. The front desk service is meticulous and thoughtful, and the room is clean and tidy. It makes people live very comfortably and satisfied. I will stay here again next time.
GGuest UserThe former Wangfu, the courtyard house that can be accommodated now, is very close to Nanluoguxiang, very quiet in the middle of noisy, sent the manager's arrangement to a friend, the friend said: It feels like a big event, the movie viewing experience is excellent, the environment sound effect, the terrace meal just catches up with the sunset, let people linger, The restaurant supervisor not only arranges food, but also helps to leave beautiful scenery. There have always been a courtyard plot, perfect!
