I went to Yanqi Lake for a meeting. The hotel is close to the conference center. Although it is in the villa area, you can call a taxi to enter the community and park at the door of the hotel. It is convenient. Although the breakfast is simple, it can fill your stomach. It is still good for emergencies. Seeing that the price is similar, I booked a standard room with a larger space. In short, the price-performance ratio is good.

Yunju Hotel Hongluo Temple Yanqi Lake Store is really great! The location is super good, very close to Hongluo Temple, 10 minutes drive to Yanqi Lake is also very convenient, the traffic is very convenient. The service is first-class, the staff is professional and enthusiastic, any needs can be responded quickly, the room is cleaned very clean, the facilities are intact, the bedding is comfortable, the sound insulation effect is OK, praise!

We stayed 3 nights in a family room at Qihu Hotel. The room was very spacious and came with thoughtful kids’ amenities, which was a nice touch. Since it was the low-peak season, the hotel felt quiet and serene - we practically had the swimming pool and indoor playground all to ourselves. Service was generally excellent, with special mention to Toby, the restaurant manager, who was extremely helpful and friendly. The only letdown was the breakfast. The spread was mediocre, and the selection remained almost the same throughout our stay. This was disappointing, especially since we were looking forward to a good breakfast experience, given that the nightly rates are comparable to some 5-star international hotels chains in Beijing. The hotel’s environment is beautiful, with stunning views of Yanqi Lake. Overall, I’d still recommend Qihu Hotel, especially if you’re planning to stay in the Huairou area.

It’s such a cute little place to stay at with awesome views. The owners are so sweet! We checked in late because of a missed train and they helped us despite the late hour! Excellent food and cool animals on site. 10/10 would return the next time I’m in Beijing! 🤩

The room layout was cozy and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, ensuring a great night's sleep. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, making it so quiet and relaxing. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the toiletries were of high quality.

Basic little hotel you can stay at if you want to visit the Hongluo temple. Nothing fancy, just a small room with a bed and a bathroom. But clean and sufficient. There is also a room to chill on the sofa + a reading room with a bunch of Chinese books. The room was lacking a nigh table lamp which was a bit disappointing since we like to read in bed. The woman caretaker was very friendly and welcoming.

This is a luxury hotel, but I'm not sure if it's due to its somewhat remote location, but the overall facilities and services feel scaled back. The executive lounge on the 21st floor has been closed for a long time, and room service has also been discontinued for a while (so the hotel might as well remove the room service cards from all rooms). The lake-view room offers beautiful scenery outside the window, but the glass is very dirty. I've seen other reviews mentioning the glass has been dirty since last year. When booking, I indicated two adults and one child, and this was also recorded at check-in, but no children's bathrobe or slippers were provided. I had to call the front desk to request them. However, the hotel does state in the room's bathroom that disposable amenities are not actively provided. We understand that there's a high volume of guests during the Chinese New Year period, but we could still see hair from previous guests and food debris on the floor. The toiletries in the shower should also be checked periodically. I'm not sure if the hotel is refilling old bottles with new stock, but the pump for our conditioner was faulty, and looking at the bottom of the bottle, it was already 24-year-old conditioner (with a shelf life of 12 months). Regarding breakfast, I had seen reviews saying there wasn't much to eat, and that's indeed the case. Breakfast was chaotic, and the food quality was not up to 5-star restaurant standards. Overall, I feel that avoiding holidays and peak times might allow for a better service experience. During Chinese New Year, the basement parking was incredibly messy, and there was a shocking amount of food waste at breakfast. Children were also very noisy in public areas. Chinese New Year Craft Experience: We tried calligraphy, but I really disliked the teacher taking photos of the children with her phone. I hope these photos won't be used for future commercial promotion.
