The welcome was friendly.. The ambience classy. Nice dining options. Rooms was immaculate and very comfortable. Not a great view, but a nice view, we could look out at the harbor if we stood near the window. We did not use the pool, but it did get a lot of use which we could see from our window. Less superb was the valet service. Efficient but not particularly friendly at $55 per night plus tips. The window in our room needed to be washed. The resort fee included an 8 am yoga class, but looking out at the pool we did not see yoga practitioners there. The wine reception is 3:30 - 4:30, which is an awkward time to get back to the hotel if you are touring. We got back at 4:45 - too late. The location is great. We like Hilton's Curio Collection and this added to our preference for this Hilton category. For a splurge, this hotel is fine. Pricey with the add-ons of the resort fee and the parking, but overall it provides a high-quality experience at the price.

I've stayed here in the Renaissance a couple of other times prior to this, and overall, enjoyed my stay. That said, although there was good service, I feel like things are starting to slip, making it more along the lines of a 2 or 3 star hotel, not a 4 star. And it was little things like my water pressure in my shower was horrible, the shower basin flooded, as the drain must have been clogged, and there was peeling paint around the light fixture in the shower. Additionally, the bedside lamp attached to the wall was sagging, so it gave the impression of being a bit ghetto. My bed was okay, but not amazing, and the seating furniture seemed a bit worn. I know it has to be hard to run a 4 star hotel and keep things up to standard, but just from these things being a part of my experience didn't rock my world while there, but I did expect more from the Renaissance and it's 4 star hotel rating.

Well besides the parking being a issue (have to park in a complicated parking garage, ie; floor 1 is for Publix, floor 2 for residence, floor 3 is divided, go left it’s residence parking, go right is “Spa and hotel” but not clearly marked for the area) Entrance is underwhelming, but actually nicer than the rooms. Balcony door hadn’t been opened in my 63 years, barely got it shut! Bed turn down, FOUND A HAIR IN MY BED, right where my face would lay, and the sheets feel like sandpaper, they’ve been washed and used so much they have pilz all over. ALSO….. the sheet had a hole in it. I did call the desk and the guy did reduce the bill by $40, and ONLY because I didn’t have it in me to move all my crap. Not impressed with the walls, they need repairs, not just paint. And yes…. The place smells like urine. Oh and let’s no even talk about the Kuerig stacked on top of the microwave, stacked on top of the mini mini fridge. The shower drips, curtains off the track and hooks missing. Not a class act for Holiday Inn Express. I’d suggest dumping this property or gutting it and starting over. We expect more out of HIE.

I have stayed in downtown Charleston, West Ashley, & Mt.Pleasant many many times over the years and I finally decided to give the Indigo à try for a long 4 day weekend. From the time I arrived plenty of onsite parking, the bell hop whisked my luggage inside with a big smile and warm welcome....well that was just the start!! Everyone at the front desk smiling and welcoming the guests...the process was so fast and effortless and quick to point out complimentary coffees, water(still &sparkling) 24 hours. The the room was amazing. The whole hotel was clean &I felt like I was on a tropical resort. Poolside there is an indoor/outdoor bar with wonderful bartenders and the fried green tomatoes are a must try!! The made to order breakfast and staff were again on point in every level of service and we tried shrimp& grits, crab cake Benedict, omelette to orde, best bacon, I could continue but everything we ate was so hot& delicious. Then of course if you want to sightsee downtown or head out to any of the beaches or Islands it's a turn out the parking lot onto Hwy 17 and they are all within a 10 min drive This will be my new go to hotel toall my friends, family,& business associates!! The room was clean as expected. The fact that they no longer clean and replace the towels daily was great to us. But for the price we paid we had the worst breakfast. I realize there is no kitchen in this facility and all they are capable of serving is pre made food that is reheated. However they have control over the quality of products. The worst eggs, not enough fruit for all the guests, the sausage and potatoes were also just warm. We have been staying at this hotel for twenty years since the family circle tennis which now is Credit one tennis was moved here. This will absolutely be our last stay.

The service was excellent, save for one Housekeeper. On our second day my companion asked a Housekeeper on our floor if we could get some extra large towels she said she would bring them to our room. We never received them, but when my companion went out to get ice the same housekeeper stopped her, and said I told you I would get you the towels. I am a little concerned with this behavior because we have never received it from any other chain. I understand that some people find mixed race couples offensive, however I was always taught to leave personal predigests at home when I go to work.

We decided to take a family/business trip to Charleston SC, and after researching and reading the reviews, visiting the website, we decided to book with Hotel Bella Grace! A Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city!! We appreciate the attention to the interior details, custom fixtures and finishes in our room, this is very unique and thankfully Not the standard boring corporate design. The hotel location is walkable to shops and restaurants and they offer gated valet parking, who were always polite, friendly, and quick to get your car. The entire staff was very accommodating and friendly from answering questions and gave us suggestions for activities with our kids. The Service was outstanding and professional, check in and check out was excellent. The beaches are a short drive away, easy to drive to and find parking. Next door is a excellent restaurant,.fyi.. Our Room was spacious and clean. The staff was accommodating with any additional requests we needed. I highly recommend Hotel Bella Grace! We are planning on staying again soon!

GGuest UserStaff at the front desk was a bit dismissive and parking costs $20/night. Breakfast not included but there’s a restaurant on site. Pros: - great location, close to attractions, restaurants, shops - Wifi works well - rooms are relatively clean however I found a few hairs here and there - rooms are spacious enough - Check-in is at 4pm officially but our room was ready at 2pm so we could check in - mini fridge in room - the hotel is nicely furnished and decorated - 24-hour fitness center - 2 complimentary bottles of water - Coffee machine in the room Cons: - staff at the front desk could’ve been friendlier - bed too soft and pillows too thick - A/C didn’t work properly—the room was either ice cold or hot

GGuest UserWe loved our stay at the Hampton Inn! Our only comments are the breakfast was okay (COVID restrictions limited the choices) and the hotel has a slight musty smell as it’s an older building. But you cannot ask for a better location and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

GGuest UserI reserved a room for 3 nights in June online. I was on a road trip and decided to stay in Charleston a few days before heading to my next location. I only take vacations once every 5 years more or less and this was my first trip in years. I presumed that when I paid with my credit card online that I was good to go. I had stayed at another hotel in the area the night before but they doubled their rates for the weekend, and it was more than I wanted to pay. So, though this hotel was farther out from the city, it was close enough. I presumed with a reservation there would be no issues checking in whenever, so went to the USS Yorktown for the afternoon. I had been listening to something on my phone and by late afternoon, my battery was very low. Around 4 PM, while in the bottom section of the boat, my phone rang. by the time I pulled it out, call went to voice mail. i had to go out on deck to get the voice mail, which was the hotel calling. The message was confusing and said i had till 5 pm before my reservation would be cancelled. I left the air craft carried to go to my car and charge my phone to call the hotel back and figure out the issue. They said there was a problem with my card. I had used it to get into Yorktown, and had paid for several hotels the week before. Still had $9K available credit and my bill was paid as it had been every month for 19 years (I checked the card website before calling them to see if there was something with my account). So, it couldn't be the card, had to be on their end, but they were going to cancel my reservation. again, I assumed when i paid at my reservation that all was good. Why wouldn't i? I called and they said they would hold it till i got there if I was on my way. So i had to skip out on the rest of the yorktown and go deal with this issue. I got there, told the clerk who i was. Pulled out my ID, AAA card and credit card. The girl said she only needed my ID, so I thought they must have re-run the card and it was all fine. Glad that was resolved, clerk gave me my paperwork, key card and i was on my way. I went to the room, and decided rather than use daylight to unpack, i still had a couple of hours of daylight and headed to the beach. This was around 5 PM as they demanded on the VM. around 7 PM. my phone rang on the beach. I answered, and it was someone saying she was from the hotel. She said my card did not work and I needed to resolve this issue. I was walking the beach so some distance from my car, but told her I would head back. as I walked towards my car, the lady called again and this time was more rude than the time before. She said she had to have a credit card right then. I'm thinking that I've just been there. I'm not even confident that this is someone from the hotel. But i was leaving the beach to head back, again changing my plans. I told the lady that I had been there a couple of hours ago, had my card out and the clerk did not need it. I presumed al

JJackgangchenThere are more breakfasts and meals, but the hotel staff is very warm and thoughtful. After the breakfast meal is over, ask for it and come back to face the meal after the meal. My car key was lost on the hotel sofa, and the front desk ***o and Damelle found it and kept it for the customer. The front desk staff patiently helped you change rooms. Parking is not sufficient for the occupants. Late night, the hotel has to park at the surrounding banks and have to move in the morning.
