Hotels in Downtown Culture Area, Chengdu

Hotel is 8-10 mins walk from Chunxi Subway station by crossing the road junction once you get get of it. It’s on the quieter side of the long road away from the bustling shopping area. Rooms are clean and cosy. Reception staff are pleasant and efficient. Housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here in future.

Well located - close to Chunxi Rd and Tai Koo Li. Helpful staff. Unfortunately some inconsiderate guests continue to smoke in non-smoking rooms. Hotel need to inspect and remind recalcitrant guests as they will blatantly open the room door and let the smoke drift into the lobby. Otherwise, a good hotel for a short stay.

It should be an older star-rated hotel. The equipment and facilities inside have a sense of age. Although the check-in experience this time is not very good. For example, the security guard at the door obviously lacks training. It does not matter if you are old, but there is almost no sense of enthusiasm and initiative. Inside the room Things must have been cleaned carelessly. There was only one bath towel and one hand towel. I don’t understand! The tea table only has two bags of tea and no coffee. Why not provide coffee since there are coffee cups? I guess guests should bring their own! After the response, the after-sales service was good and they were able to face problems themselves. In fact, old star-rated hotels rely on software to be competitive!

We stayed in JinJiang for 4 nights from Oct. 17 to Oct. 22, 2023. We were so happy to choose this Hotel. The stuff of Hotel was very warm and helpful. Specially, Ms. Camille Feng, she helped us to change the rooms and give us very good suggestions for our stay; Ms. Xu Bin had very beautiful smile and gave us warm welcome. Room service persons, Rick Ren and Shang Ya Qiong provided excellent service for us. Moreover, VIP lounge at 27 floor is a such good place for guests to relax and meet friends, with coffee, tea, snacks, etc. The Chengdu JinJiang hotel's VIP rooms are truly 5 star qualities. Also, its breakfast is very good and more affordable, comparing with other 5 star hotels.

The location is good. I wanted to book using Accor but the hotel is very slow to respond to my requests. The reception counter is very busy but still efficient. However, some of the reception can be less helpful when I have problem with my package sent to the hotel. Breakfast area is too small and is very crowded even after 0930. The cheese provided is very bad, and the noodles station is overwhelmed and I didn`t managed to place my order. The lift is slow, and there is jam during breakfast peak. I did not have time for tea, and was able to get good ice creams instead. The checkout process is very smooth, special mention to Nu Nu who gave me souvenir and check in with me on my stay.

The hotel in itself is good. The rooms are clean, large and the beds and so on are good. It's over the road from an interesting museum but it's in a odd, unattractive situation, behind a row of old flats with low quality convenience shops at their base. Very odd for a 3/4 star star hotel. A few good, reasonably priced, local, restaurants if you turn left at McDonald on the corner. MD's icould be handy as well. On the down side, it's on the wrong side of town from the Panda park and quite a distance from the airport. However, we got a very good deal on the room which countered that. The major problem was with the service. When we arrived, they were halfway through giving us our room when they suddenly told us that the hotel was full. This was at 11pm and a family. They said we could go to another hotel and vaguely waved outside. We refused to go and I repeatedly showed them the booking confirmation from Trip.com and our green health codes. The manager arrived and discovered that they were not full and that they did have a room for us. It was now, very late. However, this was not the end. The next day we were asked for our passport again so they could once again check when we had last entered China, which was over a year ago. Then the next day they came to our room see us again. They walked me down to the hotels coffee bar and asked to use my data to talk to someone via WeChat, which I refused to do. Their hotel wifi didn't work and they were getting very actious. After eventually working out what the issue was I showed them my current work visa. They had photocopied an old one, not checking the date. Hence, a 1 for service as there aren't any negative numbers. I have never been treated so badly by a hotel and this is supposed to be a good one. I hope they reflect upon this an improve their training so this upsetting event does not occur again to anyone.

The hotel room is very spacious and nice. Toilet and shower is separate. Hot lemon ginger, fresh coffee and crisps are offered in the lobby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As we earlier stayed at another Atour and needed to get our Taobao package, the staff arranged for the package transfer within the hour. Free evening snack. Free laundry services. We purchased breakfast with our room and there is a wide selection. We are all very this hotel 👍👍👍

Very convenient location, since the hotel is in the center of Chengdu. Also a special thanks for the front desk receptionist Rachel. Who have been very kind and willing to help.

Easy to walk around. You can get anything in the same street. Along the street have convenient store, pharmacy, Chinese fried noodle, fruit stall and so on.

This is the most satisfactory hotel I have ever stayed in. It is the only one. The transportation, environment and service must be perfect. The breakfast buffet is also very good. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Chengdu!
