My stay this time was quite disappointing, with numerous issues across the board. Let me go through them one by one. Regarding the check-in experience: I called the front desk to inquire about room types, but the lady who answered couldn't explain clearly. There was a self-service ice cream freezer at the front desk, but no one proactively informed me about it. I only found out it was complimentary after asking. My friend and I only had three ice creams during our two-day stay. It's not about being greedy for freebies; the key is that this lack of service awareness was uncomfortable – why not proactively tell guests? Additionally, there was no luggage assistance whatsoever. When I asked the front desk, they said there was no bellhop. When I went out for dinner, both front desk staff were busy. I asked someone at the lobby bar to help me get two bottles of water. She told me to ask the front desk. I explained that I was asking her because they were busy, and she reluctantly handed them to me while looking at her phone. Regarding room facilities: The elevator was incredibly slow, taking several minutes every time. The extra bed was just a hard mattress with a sheet on it. Although Louis provided it for free, the comfort level definitely needs improvement. The base of the electric kettle wasn't cleaned, and while I didn't use it, the hygiene condition was concerning. Regarding dining and benefits: Holiday Inn indeed doesn't have an executive lounge, but the ¥60 dining voucher wasn't offered proactively; I had to ask for it, and there was no explanation provided. At breakfast, there was no one to guide us to a seat, no one asked about drinks, and no local specialty snacks were offered. Regarding the internet: The Wi-Fi was very slow. Streaming videos and playing games experienced lag. Initially, I thought it was an issue with my own device, but after moving to the InterContinental Raffles City, I realized it was the hotel's network problem. Other issues: The dryer in the self-service laundry room couldn't dry clothes even after two hours. The equipment also couldn't sync with the IHG App to check progress. Furthermore, I didn't receive a welcome card from Ms. Ip. The front desk said it required an appointment and they had run out. The location is indeed good, but the service details and hardware facilities are far below the Holiday Inn brand standards. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

The environment is great and the location is good, close to everything, making it convenient for getting around. The service attitude is excellent, and the air conditioning works well. The room also has good soundproofing.

I had a lovely time staying at the Holiday Inn in University town. It was really conveniently centred to see my friends. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and I enjoyed using the pool. The breakfast buffet had a wide choice of yummy food. The staff were super friendly and helpful too. I would definitely stay again.
