We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good. Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around. What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge! If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

I decided to travel to Datong on a whim. I browsed Ctrip for a while, booked two hotels, then cancelled them, and finally chose Haiyou Hotel Dongxin Plaza Branch. It was definitely the right choice! 1. Parking is free and there are plenty of spaces (we traveled during the off-season; I don't know what it's like during peak season). 2. The twin room was spacious, and the unexpected floor-to-ceiling windows were fantastic. I never expected to be able to enjoy the Cyber ​​Datong New Year's Eve fireworks right from my window. 3. There was space to hang clothes in the room, but a few more hangers would have been better. 4. The lounge area on the first floor has a microwave, hot water, coffee, and soy milk. You can do your own laundry and drying here. You can sit and have a coffee, browse your phone, and your clothes will be done, or go for a walk and come back to find your clothes dry. 5. Although it's labeled as a fully self-service hotel, there are actually staff members there. Their service is friendly and reassuring. 6. The hotel pays great attention to detail, such as providing free umbrellas for guests and adding safety netting around the fire escape. 7. The mattress and memory foam pillow were so comfortable! 😌
