AAnonymous User🆕New! Very new! The facilities, rooms, and overall atmosphere are all brand new and very comfortable.
✅Location: Very close to the Sculpture Museum and near the city wall. Not too close to the city center, so it's a good place to relax without any noise.
✌️ I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in Datong. When I'm tired, I can just come back and watch the big TV. Hahaha
🙍♀️The service, including the host, was very friendly.

GGuest UserThe highlight of our trip was definitely our stay at this guesthouse. Every single detail was impeccably handled. The guesthouse was spotless and well-maintained. The customizable breakfast was delicious, creating such a cozy atmosphere that we almost didn't want to leave at all. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable! Situated right in the heart of the ancient town, it's a peaceful oasis amidst the lively surroundings. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

SsongannaThis hotel is a courtyard-style hotel, and the room is as pictured. The room was fully equipped with a minibar and was very comfortable, perfectly worth the location and price. It's even better off during the off-season! 🤣 The fan was a little awkward, located directly above the bed (perhaps it was unique to our room), making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep with.
The service was excellent.
The front desk lady, Keke, was very attentive. If we were out for a long time that day, she would notice and ask if we wanted a foot bath. She also recommended the delicious jelly we had at the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. It was truly delicious! Even better than Shunyi!
In the evening, it was so relaxing to sit in the rocking chair in the courtyard, listen to some music, and have a drink.

The location is very convenient. Get off at Gulou and walk a little inside Gulou East Street. It is very close to popular restaurants such as Zini and Longjuxiang.
The environment in the courtyard is superb. The owner said it will be more beautiful in summer.
The rooms are also decorated very interestingly. You can feel that the owner loves life and knows how to live.
I want to say that the things prepared in the room are really complete. In addition to cotton towels and regular toiletries, there are also underwear detergents and white shoes detergents. Even the toothbrushes are Crest, not ordinary disposable ones.
Overall, it is a great value and I would recommend it to my friends~

KKatrin SauthoffMy husband and I are a couple from Germany. We booked two nights there, and our decision was absolutely the right one. From the initial contact (via the WeChat app, which is essential for your entire trip to China) to our departure, everything was perfect. We were picked up from the train station by car and taken to the hotel free of charge. This is especially good for Western tourists who don't speak Chinese. The first problem would have been explaining to the taxi where we wanted to go. The lobby and rooms are very beautiful, stylish, and equipped with the highest technology. Most of the guest rooms face the inner courtyard, so you can sleep very quietly and comfortably. The beds are very large and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent. It's located on the northern edge of the Ancient City of Datong, just a few minutes' walk from the tourist attractions and the colorful and lively old town. So you can enjoy it without being disturbed by noise. I would especially like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, we don't speak Chinese, and the staff didn't speak English, but with the help of modern communication tools (language apps), we understood each other perfectly. Every request was fulfilled. There's even the option to use a washing machine in the basement of the hotel. This is especially fantastic for tourists on longer trips to China, as it allows for easy laundry. If you ever come back to China, we will definitely book this hotel again.

GGuest UserI was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries.
The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included.
The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride.
My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room.
The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily.
If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn.
*I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out.

MM892155****Datong Travel gives this hotel a 5-star review. The thoughtful and warm butler-style service truly warmed my heart even before I arrived. I could feel that every staff member was serving me with their heart. The breakfast is a semi-buffet style that combines quality and taste. I recommend their ”Eggs Benedict” which tastes amazing. The hotel is also very clean. As soon as you enter the lobby, there is a large glass wall opposite you. If the staff hadn't pointed it out, I would have bumped into it. The design goes without saying; you can tell that a lot of thought was put into it. I especially liked the courtyard design, which is also very beautiful for taking photos.

The small courtyard also has a landscape of dry landscape. It is very stylish. The facilities are quite exquisite. The big bed room is very comfortable and there is incense on the bedside. Camphor wood, fragrant, helps sleep. You can see the owner's intentions from details such as smart toilets and toiletries. The landlady is very nice, the service is very attentive, the breakfast is also amazing, and it is delivered directly to the room, which is very convenient. The people who drink in the lobby outside are still talking and singing and listening to music. The room is relatively humid, and people who don't sleep well are not recommended to live.
