Julz d’traveller*The staff are nice to accomodate us.
*The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car).
*The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee).
*The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area. They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city.
*Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees.
*The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers, toothbrush, hair dryer, kettle and 2 bottle of water.
*Last picture was epic:)

The hotel is located at the foot of the mountain. We arrived at noon and could easily return to rest after our afternoon hike. The hotel isn't large, but the service was very warm and attentive; they patiently answered all our inquiries. Due to management restrictions on Hengshan Mountain, cars can't go up the mountain, but the hotel offered timely shuttle service. Surprisingly, the hotel restaurant was quite good, including barbecue, though the prices were slightly higher than in the county town, the portions were generous. If you're planning a relaxed trip with elderly people or young children, I recommend checking in at noon, hiking in the afternoon, resting at the hotel, visiting the Hanging Temple early the next morning, and then returning for a short rest before checking out.

syming922The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a 10-minute walk to the Old Town. The facilities inside are well-equipped and very kid-friendly, with books, building blocks, and even a step stool for the sink, which is a thoughtful touch (though my kids are older and weren't interested, haha). The room was clean and tidy, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows made it very bright. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the hotel doesn't offer breakfast.

Anonymous UserThis guesthouse is located within the ancient city walls, accessible via an alleyway, and has its own parking. The room was spacious and very quiet. Of all the places we stayed, this was the only one where the underfloor heating wasn't so hot that we were sweating; plus, you could adjust the temperature with the air conditioning, making the indoor climate just right. Yong'an Temple and Yuanjue Brick Pagoda are right across the street, about a 10-minute walk away. It's also very convenient for dining out, with many options within walking distance.

The hotel is located right by the roadside. It's a budget hotel, and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, leaving a lasting impression. Our stay was a pleasant surprise, far exceeding our expectations. From the moment we entered the lobby, the staff's friendly smiles and efficient, professional service impressed us. The rooms were elegantly designed, the bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet with ample water pressure – every detail reflected a commitment to quality.
The hotel's meticulous service was particularly commendable: upon learning we were traveling by car, they proactively offered suggestions on nearby transportation. This provided a perfect way to relax after a long journey.
The excellent location, comprehensive facilities, and personalized service complemented each other perfectly, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay. It wasn't just a place to rest during our trip, but also a part of a wonderful memory. This will definitely be our top choice for our next visit, and we will highly recommend it to our friends and family!

Baoqinglang฿This B&B is truly a hidden treasure! We were so lucky to find it. The whole environment is very comfortable and warm. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, which made us feel very relaxed. It is a simple yet elegant restaurant. It is very warm to dine in. The three kinds of soy milk for breakfast are really delicious. The staff are very enthusiastic and provide us with a lot of useful local travel information. Moreover, the B&B is very close to the Yungang Grottoes, and there are many delicious restaurants around the living area. I highly recommend this B&B, you will definitely like it.

Anonymous User

Guest UserI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

Anonymous UserFacilities: Newly renovated, new facilities, no odor
Sanitation: Clean and tidy
Environment: In a village, there will be dirt on the road into the village, but it is clean and tidy when you enter the hotel. There is a self-provided backyard parking lot.
Service: OK. It was a temporary decision to visit the Hanging Temple Hengshan the next day, so I decided to stay nearby for convenience the next morning. I didn’t choose much when I looked at the hotel on the platform, thinking that the newly opened ones should have better facilities. When I checked in at the hotel front desk, I was told that I had upgraded the room type to a higher floor. Although the room is not big, it is small but complete, and it is convenient to stay for one night and the next day.
The village is quiet and restful at night, and the breakfast is basically satisfactory, with coarse grains, staple food, protein, fruits and vegetables, and yogurt.

Caihuaxiaomei
Let me talk about the pros. The breakfast was quite plentiful and tasty, 68 yuan per person. Our child, being 15, paid an extra 40 yuan. We booked three rooms together. The rooms were decent for a five-star hotel, and the lobby was beautiful. Now for areas for improvement. Aside from the good security guard at the entrance, the service could be better. Since it's a hot spring hotel, the hot spring itself is important, but it was rather mediocre. Of the 12 pools, some were 58 degrees Celsius, some 48 degrees, and only a few were usable and small. Also, because so many people were crammed into a few pools, they became quite dirty. All three families stayed for an hour before leaving. There were too many access control points. For a hotel in such a remote area, I don't understand why there were so many access control points and card swiping systems; it was very inconvenient. I didn't intend to give a low score because the front desk gave us a complimentary breakfast, which was a concession.
