We stayed here for just one day during a layover and everything was super.
The staff is very attentive and friendly, they checked us in quickly without any hassle. The dinner buffet was great, with a good selection and everything was really tasty. We also dropped by the bar, which is a cool place to sit and relax after the flight. And the pol with the jacuzzi is a great feature, it helped perfectly to take off the travel fatigue.
The impressions are very positive. If we are passing through Doha again, we will gladly choose this hotel. Highly recommended!
I’m honestly lost for words when it comes to the service provided by the staff at DoubleTree by Hilton Doha Old Town. They went above and beyond anything I expected and as tourists travelling for our honeymoon, they truly left a lasting impression on our experience.
Every member of staff was warm, welcoming and genuinely kind. The way they approached and spoke to guests made us feel valued and at home. They may not realise it but those small interactions make such a big difference to someone’s stay and create memories that last long after the trip is over.
I’d also like to give a special mention to the gentleman at reception who checked us in. Unfortunately, I can’t remember his name but he was incredibly kind and welcoming. We mentioned that we were visiting Doha for our honeymoon, and the following day, when we returned to our room, we found it beautifully decorated. It was such a thoughtful and heartfelt surprise, and that small gesture meant so much to us.
Because of the exceptional hospitality we received, whenever we return to Doha, there’s no question about where we’ll stay. It will always be DoubleTree by Hilton Doha Old Town. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon even more special and unforgettable.🤍
Staff lovely had us checked in quickly as we arrived late - hotel was fine I didn’t realise I booked smoking floor - smell was terrible - view from room outstanding - the nouse from the nightclub a little loud even in the 10th floor but was nothing compared to the two middle eastern men who talked all night with their door open it felt like they were in our room - would stay there again when traveling through Doha
Lovely hotel, nice large rooms and excellent breakfast. The only downside is that they are strict with the 15:00 check in time. We arrived around 13:30 but an earlier check in was not possible.
Friendly approachable receptionist on arrival from an early morning flight. Massive TV and spacious room for 3 adults. Breakfast was dead. Location is a great easy accessible..Sink was a bit small in comparison to the surrounding counter. Had to ask for amenities I.e floor slippers. The iron blew the socket in the room. Secure adequate 2 night stay. Wi fi was a hassle and unnecessary sign up steps.
Good location, excellent staff and good breakfast. Pool area was clean, but there is relatively limited poolside sunbed availability on the busier days. Gym was OK with a good view out over the corniche, but some of the machines were not in a great condition. First room allocated was not what I had booked (downgrade) and when I challenged it, I was moved in to the appropriate room type. However, this should not have happened in the first place and it felt like reception were simply 'trying it on'.
Nevertheless, a pleasant stay in the end.

I had a wonderful stay at Golden Tulip Doha. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is convenient, close to key areas in Doha, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm and welcoming. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of options. Excellent value for money—I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
I booked a room, and when my colleague arrived late at night from his trip, they refused to let him in, claiming the room was booked for one person, not two! They wouldn't let him in until I paid! According to them, no one is allowed in without an additional payment of 150 Riyals, which is very strange and something I've never encountered before. I really didn't like this treatment at all. Keep in mind, I had booked 3 nights with them, and I was forced to pay for him to enter, even though he originally had a booking at another hotel. Honestly, the service was terrible.
This hotel is mediocre at best. Good things are that the rooms are large, breakfast is OK, location is very good. Bad things are that the hotel is old and not maintained in best condition. The shower pressure is fluctuating. It is not top clean, merely acceptable level. The furniture are old, you can see finger marks or scratches on them. Toilet seat has yellowed out with stains of old. You can notice the splotches of silicone in bathroom tiles, clear markers of cheap labor. Towels are coarse. Can say more but you get the picture. If you are a discerning traveler, you might be bothered with such details, though this feeling may be offset with the relatively low price of the hotel. Lastly, the hotel actually warns you about this and it bears notice that there are bars in the hotel and weekends being a lot of bachelor party-goers to the hotel at night.
It was cheap, but I can’t say it’s a hotel I’d like to stay, interior looks really dated and not in a good way, room smells weird, like some spices, in general it’s ok if you need to spend a night but I wouldn’t go there for holidays.

I liked the hotel very much. The location is convenient, near the metro, relatively close to the embankment with pleasure boats and a museum. The room is clean, the area is large, the bathroom is convenient. Breakfasts are tasty and filling. The staff is responsive. In the photo, the view from the room window, as well as a photo from the hall with elevators.
The hotel is good, but there were problems on the hotel side, they couldn't find our reservation, so the check-in was late. They gave us a better room, but there was a towel for 1 person in the room. We took the hotel without meals, but decided to have lunch, the buffet was very tasty and varied
The hotel location is good. About 15-20 minutes from airport, very convenient for a short transit trip
Walking (don't do that in summer) distance to National Museum, Islamic Art Museum and Souq Waqif.
My flight arrived in early morning and the front desk charged me for early check-in at about 2/3 of the full night rate...Except for this, the staffs were generally friendly.
Room space is huge, 60sqm+, but the view is almost blocked though I booked city view. But does't matter too much as it's not necessary to open the curtains during day time due too too strong sunlight. Sound insulation is not good enough.
The morning flight arrived at 7am, the hotel reception and the rooms were very friendly, let me stay and rest early. The people of this country are happy and intimate. The front desk can exchange currency, 5 yuan per handling fee. The mobile phone charging line was checked out, IQ was arrears, but the hotel provided Chinese-made data lines, proud and proud, great! You can walk from the sights and the location is good.
