LLanJiangWhen you yearn for a different lifestyle but not ready to commit yourself to changes? For me, traveling is a way to get a sneak peek into “what would it be”, even if just for a moment. I feel incredibly fortunate to have come across Several Mountain Houses, and I’m grateful for the owners’ generosity in creating such a beautiful place and sharing their mountain life with guests.   Many guests have already praised the lovely courtyard, the nature-surrounded rooms, the sensorial bed linens, and the warm, earthy aesthetic of the space. I wholeheartedly agree. Beyond that, there was something even more special. I was wowed by the tidy kitchen, thoughtfully designed and completed with high-quality appliances and tableware. It’s a place that move your mind from “I’m staying in a B&B” to “I’m staying in a home.” The cherry on top? Having the owner made you a perfect cup of latte or cappuccino in the morning. Of all my travels in China, this is the first homestay where I’ve experienced that personal touch.   We arrived by Didi and had to drop off by the roadside, cross a wooden bridge, and then tackle a steep hill path.  We called for help and the owner came down to meet us and made sure we felt welcomed. My friend told me she felt like we had stepped into a scene from a web novel—the little challenge at the start, the homey atmosphere, the owners and their charming “career life to mountain life” story all made the experience very special.   I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful mountain retreat. It's the perfect spot to unwind and reset.    A small tip: if you're in the mood for trekking, head up to the Wulong Gorge scenic area and work your way back. If we had known, we would totally skip Baiyun (White Cloud) temple / village and spend more time relaxing at the house.

LLucy ClitherowWe had the most amazing stay and I cannot recommend highly enough. I wish we had been able to spend more time there. The staff were beyond fantastic. Even with the language barrier they could not have been more helpful. The food - both breakfast and dinner - was fantastic. We booked a sound experience and massage and loved both: though the massage was very firm :) It is very quick and easy to visit dujiangyan but you also get to enjoy the peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We walked up to the nearby Panda reserve and whilst it is small, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I would love to go back and visit again.

PponyThe largest indoor bathtub in Sichuan! You must go in the swimming pool. The scenery is so beautiful that it can't be compared with other places~ There are also many birds and squirrels in the forest~ It's not my first time to Dujiangyan, but it's my first time to overlook the mountain scenery and see Qingcheng Mountain from afar

YYouaremysunshineGreat hotel in perfect location. This is a really nice small hotel with about 12 rooms, it was very quiet yet in a perfect location walkable to many things and in old part of city. The room was nice and was clean. Many comforts were provided - nice slippers, tea, good shower, comfortable bed, washing machine is handy, nice touches like dessert at night. The lobby area is a cafe and is very nice place to sit. The afternoon tea was nice, breakfast was great. The staff are very nice and thoughtful. The breakfast was good and I always bring my own coffee. Dujiangyan is an amazing place with so much to see and do - we stayed three nights. We didn’t sit on balcony as there are mosquitos outside but t was good he door had fly screen. The only area for improvement would be to get rid of stained rug and amend many of the lights that come on at night like in toilet with translucent door and fridge light turns on randomly and technology starts talking randomly - these things can disrupt sleep but we found ways to get around it. We would definitely stay here again as it had nice rooms and staff and great location. I wouldn’t stay in the larger hotels as they are further away and not in the old town that has great atmosphere.

Ssunny****The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel environment was also very good. The breakfast was delicious. Most importantly, the location is excellent. It's only about a hundred meters walk from the high-speed rail station to the hotel entrance. Right outside, there's an electric shuttle station that takes you directly to the scenic area entrance, making it very convenient to get to the back mountain. The bus stop is also right across the street. There are also many good dining options nearby, including Bamboo Forest Restaurant, coffee shops, KFC, and FamilyMart. The jasmine tea and Lapsang Souchong provided by the hotel were both excellent, and you can even enjoy a hot spring bath.

KKaygegeOur room type came with a private hot spring bath, and after a tiring day of sightseeing, it was incredibly relaxing to come back and soak in it. The villa was elegantly designed and even featured a mahjong table, which was a huge plus! The beautifully arranged greenery in our private courtyard was a delight to the eyes, and the entire hotel grounds were lush with dense, beautiful plants. My friend and I kept remarking on the lovely osmanthus scent; it was incredibly fragrant as we walked around. A Hanfu photography studio partners with the hotel and is conveniently located on-site. They even offered three complimentary photos, which added a fun and unique element to our trip. The absolute highlight was our butler, Leo. He was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, had an excellent attitude and personality, and was exceptional at resolving any issues. I can't recommend him enough!

11350102****The hotel's location is really convenient for visiting Mount Qingcheng and Jiezi Ancient Town. The ambiance is fantastic, especially when the mountain is shrouded in mist – it truly feels like a fairyland. All the staff are excellent, very genuine and warm, interacting with guests in a wonderfully appropriate and friendly manner. The Chinese restaurant and concierge desk, in particular, stood out. The hotel's design, especially the landscaping and architecture, beautifully complements the mountain's topography, vegetation, and cultural geography, utilizing local materials. However, perhaps precisely because of this natural, 'raw' aesthetic, the exterior of the rooms and some facilities seem to be in need of renovation and updating. The investors really should allocate some budget for this!

GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy, the parking is convenient, a few minutes walk from the mountain pass, the service is also very warm, it may be the reason for the low season, there are noodles and dumplings for breakfast. The service staff said that the dumplings and dumplings are all packaged by themselves, not pre-products, or can be eaten. The dumplings we eat are much more fragrant than the ones we eat outside. In short, it is still very recommended.

SSanshuiThis trip really exceeded expectations! The hotel is located in the tea mountains, with fresh air and quiet environment, as if you are in a paradise. The most surprising thing is that the hotel also provides tea picking and tea making experience. It is very meaningful to bring children to experience the traditional Chinese tea culture, which is both educational and entertaining! The hotel’s private hot spring is also a highlight. Soaking in the hot springs and looking at the tea plantations on the mountain can relax your body and mind. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and special slippers for children, which is very considerate. The transportation is also very convenient. The driving journey is smooth. The food in the restaurant is also delicious, the ingredients are fresh, and the price is reasonable, which saves the trouble of going out to find food. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and highly recommended for families with children!

GGuest UserI liked the (Chinese-style) breakfast. The staff was helpful and they even took me down to the front of the mountain ticket office. The food at night (beef and bamboo shoots) was not bad. I stayed in the garden view room, with two single beds. The bed was comfortable. The tea in the room was really nice Maofeng tea. The style of the room didn’t scream luxury to me (not the quiet kind either). As for the location, I thought it would be nice to be in mountainous surroundings but it didn’t prove to be very convenient for my needs. I arrived on Friday and went to the front mountain on Saturday. Someone from the hotel very kindly dropped me off near the ticket office. A little aside: After visiting the mountain I decided on a spontaneous trip to Nanqiao (the south bridge) in Dujiangyan (I had not seen it at night on an earlier trip there). It was not that hard to find a taxi back, but keep in mind a small surcharge of 3.9% for taking you up the mountain). On Sunday I left the hotel too late as it was already very busy on the road to the back mountain ticket the taxi driver did not want to take me there (cause it would mean being stuck in traffic for hours either no compensation for all this waste of time) but offered to take me to The high speed railway station from which I could take a bus (passing hotel again!). Obviously the bus also ended up in a traffic jam, but in any case I did make it there in the end. Luckily I took my luggage and left it at a shop next to the foot passenger ticket office for 5 yuan. Unfortunately the hot water spring is only open in winter. They have a nice pool though. I enjoyed my stay but didn’t find it very luxurious although it is rare to have a hotel with a pool in China, so that was cool. At around 50 euros per night it was okay value for money.
