Hotel near Amsterdam Oud Zuid,Amsterdam
The Hotel Cornelisz provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Hotel Cornelisz offers a pleasant stay in Amsterdam for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 4km from Amsterdam RAI and 14km from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. In addition, Vijzelgracht Metro Station is just a short walk away. Famous local attractions Heineken Experience, Dam Square and Canals of Amsterdam, can all be reached with a short walk. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service.

"Overall a pretty decent stay, room was adequate but there was no A/C meaning the loud fans had to be running all night and our fridge wasn’t working. The duvet had some small yellow and red stains, and no one was at the front desk when I went down to try and get a new one. Room was a bit cramped but the location was amazing!"

Great
LLerongrong7373I booked this hotel for a three-night stay in Amsterdam, and overall, I found it to be quite good. Location: It's incredibly convenient, right next to the Noord metro station and bus stop. It's only two stops to the city center, and there are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, covering all basic daily needs. Room Facilities: The room itself was a bit compact, but the bathroom was spacious. Even with three people and three large suitcases, we could still move around comfortably. The beds were a good size, perfect for three people. The blackout curtains worked well, and the soundproofing was decent. My only complaint is that the pillows were square, which I found a bit uncomfortable. Also, the bathroom mirror was installed so high that I could only see the top of my head, let alone using it as a makeup mirror – it was practically out of reach! Service: If you press the cleaning button, they come to tidy the room daily, and I was satisfied with the cleanliness. If you run out of bottled water, you can pick some up at the front desk. While the value for money wasn't exceptional, it's pretty standard for the area, and overall, I had a pleasant stay!

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at Novotel Amsterdam City in standard twin rooms for a family holiday (6 of us), and overall it was a great experience. Mr. Oman at the reception was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome during check-in. He also helped make sure all our requests were met; connecting rooms, 2 single beds, same floor, and next to each other. Really appreciated that! The only downside was one male receptionist (Middle Eastern-looking) who didn’t seem very welcoming. He was quite passive and seemed unwilling when I asked for help with temporarily storing our luggage.

WWhenTracyTravelsI had an amazing stay with my partner in this hotel. :) Check-in was a breeze. All the front desk staff were so nice and lovely. One time, I ask if they have salt and pepper and they had unopened salt and pepper mills sent to the room. Room is big with plenty of amenities. Big closet storage with multiple hangers. Big mirror. Iron+ironboard. 2 hair dryers (1 in the closet drawer and 1 in bathroom). Big safe for valuables. Mini bar and coffee machine. Free bottle of water on each bedside. Bed is huge. Advertised as king sized but it is actually a super king! I had the best sleep every night as the bed was so comfortable. Had 4 huge pillows too. Big window too! The bathroom had a big bathtub, big mirror with good lighting. Will definitely stay here when we visit Amsterdam again. We also left our luggages for free when we checked out.

KKarimTLocation: Excellent. Calm area, close to the free ferry from Amsterdam Central. You are away from the buzz but still well connected. Best of both worlds. Check-in experience: Disappointing. I arrived around two hours early and politely asked if the room was available. The front desk staff member was helpful and said the system showed the room as ready and that she would confirm with management. The manager then intervened and introduced an unnecessary and inconsistent explanation about the room not being ready, followed by an early check-in fee of €5. The fee itself is reasonable and not the issue. The issue is the lack of transparency. Moments later, the same staff member asked the manager whether to give me the original room, and the manager confirmed yes in front of me. This made the earlier explanation feel dishonest, which I do not appreciate. Bar: Overpriced for a hostel. Amenities: Standard. Nothing special, nothing missing. Hygiene: Below expectations. While the room was generally clean, there were breadcrumbs on the mattress, which points to poor attention to detail. Soap and toilet paper were not properly provided and had to be requested, which should not be necessary. Overall: Good location, average facilities, weak attention to hygiene and communication.

GGuest UserThe lobby of the Amsterdam Library Hotel is really the layout of the library, and the smell of books is strong when you enter the door. Less than 10 minutes from the central railway station, go left at the main entrance of the train station, cross the tram, walk along the road, there is a bus station at the entrance of the hotel, it is easy to find. The 24-hour front desk, the waiter is very enthusiastic, will tell you in detail where to go, live here safely and comfortably.

GGuest UserLocation: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe. Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel. Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, ”Do you have data sim cards?” He said, ”No, we don't provide for that.” (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, ”Do you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.” He said, ”There's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.” (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.) Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me. One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems. All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.

TTahsin ÇınarIt was a fascinating 3-day-journey. I really liked the hotel and the staff… They welcome you at the reception with a kind big smile. They gave two magnets while check-in and 3 key rings while checking out as presents. Hotel’s location is very close (7-8 mins on food) to Sloterdijk Station which you can have access to train, metro, tram, public and international bus. The room was clean. They changed the towels and cleaned the room on the second day. The bed was so comfortable and big enough. There was also a microwave oven, fridge, kettle and coffee/tea bags… The only missing things are air condition and hair dryer.. there was a fan which works but seems mot enough to cool down the room. If I come to Amsterdam one more time, I will stay there again.

SStella HerroOur accommodation in Q-Factory was exactly what we needed to enjoy for 4 days Amsterdam. It is not in the city center and we always needed transportation (tram o train) but we liked that as we discovered the hood around which is great. Vibrant atmosphere, quiet area and cool details all around the hotel.
