Amazing
HHypnoseWaldorf Astoria Amsterdam. The location is perfect, right by the Herengracht, in an old European house. It is 1.2-1.5 kilometers away from several major museums, and within 20 minutes' walk (the three-story canal and the cute little bridges every few steps and the chocolate-like little houses on the shore make the journey even shorter). The service is first-class, the breakfast is very good, the smoked salmon and ham are all made by themselves, and the taste is very good, but the room meals are hard to describe 😭; the room hygiene is also absolutely standard, there is no trace of uncleanliness on the floor, bathtub, shower room, countertop, or anywhere in the light white bathroom, and the cleaning staff are still so elusive (just like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); the bathroom is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, just placed there; basically, except for the price, there is nothing wrong with it ~ I will consider staying here again next time I come to Amsterdam.

Great
EEdwardxinchenOverall, this stay was just average! The hotel boasts a fantastic view, and the surrounding area is convenient for dining and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the window offered a wide view. The front desk staff were reasonably friendly and recommended nearby attractions. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was decent in taste.
FFleming grantDisappointing overall experience. Poor service and customer experience; Check-in was uncomfortable due to an accusatory tone from front desk staff regarding the number of guests in the room, which felt unwelcoming and unnecessary
The breakfast promotion was poorly communicated, signage suggests an automatic early-bird discount, but a voucher must be requested at check-in, which was not clearly explained.
The Deluxe Loft Room, while clean, was not comfortable: the sofa bed was uncomfortable, the loft windows had no view, and the ceiling height near the toilet is very low, easy to hit your head. Overall, the room fell well below expectations for the price.
LL junkeI really like this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. The service is warm and the design is very stylish. The room and the view are very nice. The Van Gogh Museum is just a stone's throw away. The surrounding area is very convenient. I didn't have time to experience the hotel in detail. I'll come again next time.
JJunieWhile the hotel itself is very new and modern, the actual building itself is shared with the Moxy (undisclosed) and the housekeeping department does little more than make the bed and replace towels. The floors, fridge and microwave were filthy, the couch had stains, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, exposed nails, and 3 lightbulbs were dead, leaving the room very dim.
RRuby GraceWe had a great experience at the W Amsterdam! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Sabrina who works on the front desk. She made sure our stay was extra special, which we are very thankful for! The hotel itself is in a great location, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and we would stay here again. :)
GGuest UserI stayed here for my birthday and had the most amazing time. The massage was absolutely mind-blowing and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Breakfast was great with plenty of options, and the location was perfect – there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you straight into the city centre, making it so easy to get around. The rooms were spotless with a beautiful view, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. It made my birthday feel really special and I would definitely stay here again
GGuest UserThe first impression of the hotel is quite favorable: it's a modern high-rise building, check-in is very quick, the rooms are decorated in the currently fashionable ”industrial” style, and the views from the window are beautiful. However, after a while, you notice some drawbacks. First and foremost: the hotel takes a hefty 150-euro deposit upon check-in. It's understandable that the hotel is concerned about the safety of the rooms, but for that kind of money, you'd expect luxurious furnishings. What you end up with are ”basic amenities.” There are no slippers, no robes, no conditioner for washing hair, not even proper ceramic cups for hot drinks. The overall impression is that the hotel isn't a 4-star (as advertised). It's a ”good 3-star.”
GGuest UserLovely day at the Spa. Enjoyed it. The massages were lovely and the Spa is great!
Too bad you can't take your food outside on a cardboard plate or something like that when the weather is nice. Maybe something to think about.
Hotel room and breakfast are good.
