Great
GGuest UserThe first time I went to Amsterdam with my bestie, we arrived at the hotel at 8pm. It was by a very quiet river. I thought it was a remote location, but I didn't expect that the hotel was surrounded by attractions after walking around the next day: Anne Frank House and Tulip Museum, Church and Canal Yacht Center and Small Square.
The front desk receptionist, the blonde sister, was warm and friendly. She introduced the room and catering and the condition of the elevator to be repaired. She also recommended local restaurants nearby and helped to make reservations. The Chinese boss did a good job in employee training. The surprise was that the small suite on the fourth floor not only faced the beautiful canal, but also had a hot water kettle that girls always wanted. I like the hotel's logo.
The Western breakfast has a rich selection of hot and cold drinks. The restaurant environment is small and warm, and the illustrations on the background wall have a sense of déjà vu of campus blackboard newspapers. Because it was my birthday that day, my bestie took a group photo with the Polaroid provided by the hotel as a souvenir. The hotel staff, a beautiful long-legged sister, took the initiative to help, which was very nice. Check out on time at 11 am, and the luggage can be stored at the front desk.
After taking a cruise 🚤 and visiting the city, we returned to the hotel, rested in the restaurant, ate freshly baked cakes, and drank hot ☕️. The front desk helped me call a taxi to the airport and gave me a bag of snacks before leaving. It was really thoughtful! Looking forward to coming back next time 😘
GGayatri GallowayLocation, location, location! Staying at the Linden comes with the friendliest and cutest warning that the hotel is tiny… but it makes up in more ways than just its perfect location in the middle of Amsterdam’s old Jordaan.
There’s no breakfast facility but they offer discount at the cafe right next door. However they managed to squeeze in public space area where people can sit, wait and do some digital nomad-ing, with free supply of coffees, access to sweet jars and board games for a rainy day. If you’re in time you can also catch some of the fresh pastry they offer at random times of the day.
The hotel staff were so kind and most helpful.
As for the room: remember the heart of Amsterdam is famous for its narrow houses and steep staircases. The fact they turned this old corner house into a hotel is a miracle in itself, so just brace yourself and enjoy the smallness of it all. There’s a kettle in the room and sealed empty bottles of water which is meant for you to fill up with tap water as that’s indeed safe to drink in Amsterdam. The only downside of our standard room (18) is the weird layout of the bathroom which needed not to be awkward. Just as well we are not built big or our legs wouldn’t have fitted sitting on the toilet facing the glass shower enclosure.
On the way out, we were given a ‘Thank You’ goodie bag. Lots of brownie points for this hotel!
TTravelling lotsThe rooms are clean and quite spacious, with a decent location just 10 minutes walk from a metro, bus and train station. It is right next to the Ajax stadium, so very convenient for football travellers.
The breakfasts are very good and freely available each morning.
Bike rental is also available, for 20 euros a day or 14 euros for three hours, which is handy.
There are interesting sights and sculptures within 2 minutes walk of the hotel.
NNuelGuenWe booked the triple room with 3 single beds.
PROS: Self-check in/out via a kiosk. The room is spacious enough for 3 guests, there is a table and 2 chairs in the unit, a coffee maker and a mini fridge. The property is 5-10mins walk to Westlandgracht tram station, 2-min walk to a bus station, 2-min walk to groceries.
CONS: No bidet in the toilet, no microwave in the property and in the room so you can not heat up whatever meal you buy from the grocery. Property is 20-30 mins to Central Station.
GGuest UserI had a very disappointing experience with the staff during my stay. I booked the room from 8 to 11 April specifically so I could arrive early on 9 April and check in without issues. However, when I arrived, I was told I could not check in early, and no clear explanation of the policy was provided. I only asked for clarification, but the staff’s attitude felt unfriendly and unhelpful, and I ended up waiting for a long time.
Later, I decided to upgrade to a pod room. Initially, a female staff member showed me the price of €137 for two nights, which I agreed to. However, shortly after, another staff member changed the price to €200 without a clear justification. This inconsistency and lack of transparency were very frustrating.
Overall, the experience was poorly handled, with unclear policies, inconsistent pricing, and unfriendly service. It left a negative impression despite the booking itself being straightforward.
GGuest UserMind you the window-less rooms do not have air con so you’re gonna have to bake in the heat and no lift to the basement… but nonetheless, location is good

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe room itself was decent – spacious and well-equipped. However, there was no deadbolt on the door, and the walls seemed to be thin partitions, so soundproofing wasn't great. On the other hand, the price was incredibly good. For this price point, being so close to the Sloterdijk transport hub for metro and train was very convenient for getting around. For a business trip, I was quite satisfied.
GGuest UserSo not sure where to start with this one..
Upon booking I messaged and asked the hotel was it okay to get an early check-in and they said yes it’s all good as I told them we get to Amsterdam for 7.30am they let us check-in our room as soon as we got there we had the secret bookcase room..
Brilliant room beds comfy we then decided to extend our trip a few days changing room to another which was an old lift made into a room
Again great idea..
Upon this we still didn’t want to go home so stopped another night but this time
In the tram by far my best room it was very big and just brilliant.. all the rooms where really good the hotel it’s self is amazing there’s a bar area and little shop where you can get snacks drinks ect the bathroom is communal and always spotless the showers nice and hot
The hotel it’s self is a 10/10
Now for the staff well what can we say they are amazing each and eveyone especially the maintenance man he told us the best places to go and eat and mapped places for us then the female staff
Nothing was to much for them and the manager brilliant man
Again told us where to go ect
The staff make the stay that bit better as you can ask them
Anything at all
And they so helpful we will 100% be back to stop with the hotel
Again just to see the staff…
The only negative things I’ve got to say about the hotel is it needs a washing machine and microwave would be good not major but we would of 100% used
Them thanks to the hotel for our 5 night extended stop

GGuest UserThe lobby of the Amsterdam Library Hotel is really the layout of the library, and the smell of books is strong when you enter the door.
Less than 10 minutes from the central railway station, go left at the main entrance of the train station, cross the tram, walk along the road, there is a bus station at the entrance of the hotel, it is easy to find. The 24-hour front desk, the waiter is very enthusiastic, will tell you in detail where to go, live here safely and comfortably.

SSummer JoyThe night receptionist who has been hovering around a few nights already, had a room that wasn't clean, the bathroom wasn't and the window had a questionable window frame, cause that might be from rain if the window has been opened. On asking for another room, he got himself involved, cause I asked another receptionist and he probably is working here longer cause he seems to want to overrule the friendly receptionist, where he himself even if he would be the owner or a partner, is supposedly friendly, but rude and nosy. So is the one that I wrote about, goes by the name Alex, who are getting too involved. A review on ******* mentioned the way of check in where they scan your id, someone mentioned that they copy your id and have the deposit and/or the €0,01 transaction which is commonly used to look into accounts as far as I know. What's remarkable is that they keep sending mail about being careful about scammers where they put your full name in the message. Are they trying to decoy would be something that you can wonder. This is absolutely not an attack on the friendly, helpful staff who are also part of the frontdesk staff, but I refer to those who seem to be part of the supervising or management team. No need to address this to them ofcourse, since they will try to defend themselves, just check the *********** reviews on them. So another way might work.
