2-Star Hotels in Amsterdam

This is honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was perfect — the cleanliness, the decoration, and the overall atmosphere. What made this place truly special is the staff. Every single person I met was incredibly kind, welcoming and genuinely warm. You can really feel that they care, and it makes all the difference. The luggage storage service before check-in and after check-out is very convenient and included, which is a big plus. They even offer free coffee, snacks, drinks and more, which is amazing. And the breakfast is incredibly good and very varied — honestly one of the best I’ve had. I would definitely come back if I return to Amsterdam. I can’t thank them enough. And also the staff speak multiple languages, which makes communication very easy. If you’re still hesitating, just go for it! This place deserves 10 stars, not 5.

The hotel provided a comfortable and pleasant stay overall. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout the visit. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was consistent and responsive to requests. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation options, which made getting around very manageable. The hotel facilities were generally well-kept, and the common areas were clean and welcoming. While there is always room for minor improvements, the overall experience was positive and offered good value for the price paid. This property is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and reliable service. I would consider staying here again in the future.

The front desk staff were all very friendly, and the room was a pretty standard dorm. The shower had a bit of a drain smell if you showered for a long time, but it was okay. The bathroom, though, had a slight urine odor. The bed curtains were nice, but unfortunately, my perfume was stolen during my stay. You really need to hide your valuables well here.

Love the location and the facilities in the hostel but the ladder for the upper bed is real hard to climb for my opinion and after taking a shower while the feet still a bit wet. It is getting a lot slippery and the room is quiet pack with a lot of bed making the locker is not enough for everyone as some is broken and I couldn’t use my because someone already took my locker.

We e-mailed them to ask if we could add an extra bed in the room and they said yes (obviously for a fee). When we arrived they forgot about this but when I reminded them and they saw the bank transfer they said it would have still been possible to add the extra bed. Beside this, location was perfect and the room was clean. A bit small but it’s fair for the price. Also deposit is 100€.

There were some inconveniences, like the electricity not working at times and the shower door being incomplete, causing water to spill out. I was told there would be a hairdryer in the room, but there wasn't one. On the positive side, the staff were kind and helpful.

Everything was okay except, 1. In the bathroom the normal water shower didn't work ( the normal water handle to be rotated was stuck) 2. In the shower hot water was too hot as it couldn't be mixed with cold water. 3. Wish there was someone the desk for early check in. 4. The girl at the counter doesn't care much about the job, my room was 6 which is on the 2nd floor but she said 4th floor.

The location is good, quite close to Amsterdam station and the city center. To enter the hotel, you have to go to the reception of the hotel next door and have them open the door for you, which is a bit of a hassle, but the location is good and the room is just up the stairs, so overall it is convenient. The toilet and shower are shared outside the room, but there is a sink in the room.

Except for the woman at the counter front desk, who shouted at us for ringing the bell in our first night because we didn’t understand how to open the front door with our key. Apparently, touching one button was enough for her to be rude with us. We were not surprised to be honest because during checking she was also very disrespectful to us. She needs to learn how to work at the hospitality service.

Ett bra hotell med bra läge. Lätt att ta sig till alla möjliga platser man vill utforska. Väldigt smidigt trots att det inte finns någon personlig reception på hotellet så är det väldigt enkelt att komma i kontakt personal både via hotellet och WhatsApp.
