The service and environment were impeccable; I think it deserves to be ranked number one in Kunyang. Since it opened a few years ago, I've always had friends and family stay here, and I've never had a bad experience. But this time, I was truly disappointed. Around 10 PM, a smoky smell started to build up under the air conditioner vents. At first, I thought it was just my imagination. By midnight, the smell was so strong it felt like someone was smoking in the room. The main problem is that I don't smoke, and due to health reasons, I can't stand the smell of smoke at all. Turning on the air conditioner reduced the smell slightly, but the air coming out of the vents still smelled of smoke. I initially thought it was coming in from outside, but when I went out to smell it, it just smelled like normal incense. I was worried something was burning, so I quickly checked around, but there was nothing wrong. Finally, I discovered that the smell was strongest under the air conditioner. It was unbearable; my face started to tingle, and I had to keep fanning the door to let in fresh air. I probably didn't fall asleep until after 4 AM. I had to get up early the next day, so I was exhausted and didn't wake up until after 10 AM, thankfully without being late. I hope you can find out what the problem is. I really trust your company and hope that I can be as comfortable as before when I come back next time. But in the end, no matter what, I felt that the staff were responsible, had a good attitude, and dared to take responsibility. 👍🏻

This hotel is right next to Colorful Yunnan Happy World, just a wall away. Every time I bring my son to Colorful Yunnan, we always stay here! We've been staying for three or four years straight! I especially want to praise the staff service, it's absolutely amazing [thumb up R]! Staff members arrive within five minutes. The front desk staff, Xiao Liang, is beautiful and kind. When we checked in, our luggage was taken all the way to our room. Since the food delivery robot was a bit slow, the concierge even delivered the items directly to our door!

The air conditioner wasn't cooling. I was too hot to sleep in the middle of the night, so I turned on the air conditioner, but it blew warm air. I confirmed it was on cooling mode, but the temperature kept rising, reaching 25°C. I called the manager, and they said, ”I'm sorry,” but the cooling in your room wasn't working. So, the question is, is it just one room, or is it broken in all rooms? They're not fixing the problem, and are just letting the guests suffer. The breakfast was good and to my liking. Great!

Embarking on a journey to the blooming flowers of March. I especially love the dog-themed hotel manager! Even on a chilly day, it wasn't cold in the tent, and the shower water was warm and comfortable. The bedding was very clean, and the mattress was just the right firmness, giving me a good night's sleep 💤. The hotel has 11 rooms; we stayed in a sunrise view room. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we didn't see the sunrise, but we were lucky enough to witness a stunning sunset over Dianchi Lake that evening. Dianchi Lake is truly breathtaking; I'd come back 100 times to see it. As for the amenities, the hotel is located near Niulian Village, a model of beautiful rural development. It has complete facilities, yet remains both commercial and natural. The villagers are very kind, and the stir-fried chrysanthemum greens with stinky tofu in a local farmhouse was especially delicious 😋. We even saw someone popping popcorn on the spot—it smelled so good and brought back childhood memories. On the other side are Dianchi Youli, the verbena garden, and the cherry blossom valley pasture. The beauty of nature made my heart feel expansive. The cherry blossoms were truly beautiful, and the verbena will be in full bloom in May—I'll definitely come then! To add to that, breakfast at Wu Kuo is delivered to the room. The rice noodles and freshly baked flower cakes are both very delicious, the kind of delicious that makes you feel extremely satisfied.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and because it's not crowded, we had direct access to a huge infinity pool with stunning views of Dianchi Lake. We were even lucky enough to catch the sunset. The hotel was impeccably clean and well-equipped, with a coffee bar and bar downstairs. The personalized butler service was also incredibly attentive and welcoming, especially our butler, Ms. Song, who drove us around the area in the hotel's sightseeing vehicle, recommending great places to visit and eat. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend staying here. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Avoiding the popular Dali and Lijiang, we opted for a summer retreat in Kunyang, the hometown of Zheng He. After some research, we chose Yangyu Xiaozhu, and we're so glad we did! The guesthouse is conveniently located near the Dianchi Lake loop. The original room was already quite spacious, but after checking in, our son spotted the family room that was being cleaned. It had a bedroom, a living room, and a crib with a slide—we were immediately captivated! The receptionist kindly upgraded us, making it incredibly good value. The room was clean and hygienic, and included a bathtub. The guesthouse has its own courtyard and sandpit, perfect for families with children. There's also a fantastic spiral staircase, ”Towards the Clouds,” perfect for taking photos without having to travel far. It was very quiet at night, with excellent soundproofing. The owners were incredibly welcoming and recommended many local leisure and entertainment spots, all of which were great. The nearby Tiger Mountain Campsite was particularly beautiful; we relaxed with a coffee, watching our son chase the geese, and I envied the lifestyle of the people of Kunyang.

Usually I rarely take the initiative to write reviews, but this homestay is worth my exception. Pushing the window is the pool view, the water is shining; there is a micro-bar and creative coffee downstairs, the atmosphere is relaxed and fashionable. Several young housekeepers kept this place in a well-organized, enthusiastic but not disturbed. During the day, I went to Dianchi Lake to chase the wind and see the scenery. At night, I returned to the quiet yard, a cup of wine, a cup of tea, chat with the boss about the ups and downs of life, and exchanged stories with travelers from all over the world. This kind of human connection is the most moving place for homestays than hotels. Highly recommended, I don’t want to go when I come.

The experience of staying at Pillow AURA B&B is great! The rooms are clean and tidy, spacious, and the window seat is very comfortable. The rooms are equipped with fruit snacks and the details are attentive. The coffee drinks in the homestay are delicious, the outdoor lawn is very suitable for small sitting and resting, and the public restaurant is comfortable. The overall price is very high, the environment is quiet and comfortable, the service is intimate and thoughtful, it is a good choice for vacation travel, very recommended!

What can I say about this lovely homestay that hasn't been said before? It was even nicer than in the photos, which is rare. The environment is absolutely classy and comfortable, making you want to stay there longer. It is obvious that the owners know what they are doing; the check-in was probably the fastest we ever experienced in China, the rooms have everything you need, the breakfast was really delicious, the coffee made by an expert... The night was so quiet and peaceful that you can almost hear the water from the lake. The wetland park is just across the small street and it makes for a very nice walk or photo opportunity. We are already planning our next visit!

I stayed for three nights, and overall, my experience was very satisfying. This hotel left the deepest impression on me during my trip to Yunnan. The private courtyard and hot spring gave it a real resort feel, and the quiet environment was perfect for relaxation. The breakfast quality was excellent; in addition to the usual offerings, there were freshly cooked items like pan-fried steak and fresh shrimp, which I looked forward to every morning. The service was an even bigger bonus. Our butler drove us to the mountaintop restaurant for breakfast, and any requests we had during our stay were promptly met. The whole process felt very comfortable—not overly intrusive, but help was always available immediately when needed. When we checked out, they even thoughtfully gave us some tea as a souvenir, which was a lovely touch. If you're looking for a hotel genuinely suited for a vacation and unwinding, I think it's definitely worth experiencing. I'll certainly come back if I have the chance.
