Hotels in Panlong District, Kunming

The hotel is in the city, so the room isn't huge, but I love the color scheme. The little tag on the mineral water bottle was a nice touch. I really enjoyed just relaxing in the room, drinking coffee, and reading a book. In the evening, I went to the 6th floor for a workout and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's lighting decor – it was really photogenic! I spent half an hour taking pictures and picked one I liked to show off.

The room was very comfortable with a great view, perfect for watching the sunset. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including both traditional Western dishes and various local Yunnan delicacies. The hotel's service was exceptional. Our hotel account manager, Isla, was highly professional, enthusiastic, and efficient. She proactively called us before check-in to understand our needs, promptly followed up on our stay experience during our visit, and responded to our requests very quickly. She also provided us with a lot of useful information about Kunming's weather and tourist attractions.

The hotel is conveniently located near the main road, and the front desk is on Level 2. Just like many other hotels in China, they allow early check-in, which is one of my favorite things 😊. However, if you plan to visit Nanping Street, you'll need to book a Didi, as it is not within walking distance.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated within a creative industry park in Kunming city center. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, whether by subway or taxi. The area around the hotel is a residential neighborhood with training centers and creative bookstores, offering a beautiful and quiet environment. Falling asleep late at night, I had no worries about noise. This time, I booked two room types on Ctrip: a terrace king room and a family room. Both rooms were very spacious, and the bathroom and toilet had a great wet/dry separation. The hotel provided a complete set of disposable amenities. They also offer an all-day self-service afternoon tea, and in the rooms, you'll find tea, drinks, and fruit. Plus, there's 24-hour customer service ready to respond promptly. My two-night stay was comfortable and worry-free from start to finish!

The hotel facilities are relatively new and well-maintained. The amenities are also of excellent quality, and there's an endless supply of water, along with local Yunnan specialties like flower cakes and tamarind juice, which was a very nice touch. The front desk staff were attentive and genuinely considerate, proactively assisting with luggage storage and retrieval. They even offered a complimentary room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated. I must also mention the hotel's distinctive 'tile cat' key card. It's a shame that a physical version isn't available for purchase; I hope the hotel considers offering one in the future.

This hotel was the best one during our entire Yunnan trip. The room wasn't huge, but it was very well-designed and matched the price perfectly. One thing that was really important for me as a mom was that there was no carpet in the room. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and responsible; you could tell they operate with high standards. The lifeguard was constantly patrolling around the pool, and the front desk staff were also very attentive. The gym's front desk person was responsible and proactive. After my 8-year-old son went for a swim, he went to the men's changing room by himself to shower. When I went to the front desk to ask, I realized the exit for the men's changing room wasn't in the direction we entered the pool area. I was a bit worried, and a staff member immediately went to find my son for me. When they saw me fumbling to help my son change, they quickly took his swimsuit to spin-dry it and pack it up for us. When we were leaving, the concierge, who was quite far away, actually jogged over to help us with our luggage.

Kunming is a beautiful city, and the Senyue Hotel boasts a prime location, close to both the subway and bus stations, making getting around super convenient. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very friendly and eager to help with any issues. The rooms are well-equipped, offering great value for money and an affordable stay.

This stay experience exceeded expectations! The front desk staff Xiao Li has a very good attitude, high check-in efficiency, and actively informs the elevator, breakfast location and surrounding travel information. The room was clean and odorless and soundproofed. If you have any questions, contact the front desk to respond promptly and the service is intimate. Convenient location, cost-effective online, highly recommended.

The location, service, and breakfast were all good. The front desk was very thoughtful and even gave us fruit and a toy for the child. The room type was a bit compact. I didn't quite understand the design where the toilet was directly connected to the room without any partition. Someone could be using the toilet right next to the sink. Both the shower and the toilet area really should have partitions. Also, for a Fairfield by Marriott hotel, the elevators are incredibly unreliable and disappointing. There are only two, and one is constantly out of order and takes forever to fix. Going up and down was a real pain.

My companions and I were all extremely satisfied with this stay. The 'posu bao' (flaky pastry bun) was a particular highlight, everyone raved about it! My colleague kept saying you provide 'angelic service.' I love every staff member here; they are attentive and thoughtful, and you can truly feel the genuine kindness radiating from them. Just now, the cleaning lady passed by and gave me an angelic smile, even though she could have easily ignored me while I was engrossed in my computer. This 'hidden gem in the city' that you meticulously maintain allowed us to feel incredibly relaxed. Whether it was the private hot spring, the calligraphy practice, or simply reading in the tearoom with the cat while listening to the rain, it all brought immense relaxation to our minds and bodies. Thank you for taking care of us these past few days. It was a truly wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be back! Service: 100%! Familial service; the staff here truly see every individual guest.
