Outstanding Service and Exceptional Hospitality! We had to make a last-minute booking at midnight while in transit through Ningbo. Upon arriving well past midnight feeling completely worn out, we were greeted by an amazingly understanding and welcoming front desk staff. They processed our check-in quickly so we could get straight to sleep, and they even kindly offered us a complimentary late check-out to make up for our late arrival. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the automated smart curtains were a great modern touchy. To top it off, the breakfast was fresh and delicious. We had a wonderfully comfortable stay and couldn't have asked for better service. Highly recommended!

Shangri-La has always represented old money luxury in my mind. I always thought that even an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari, but my two-night stay here during the National Day holiday led me to the conclusion that I made a mistake. First, the hotel's smoking policy is confusing. When checking in, the front desk asked if we minded a smoking floor, and as a family with children, of course we did. The next day, I confirmed with the front desk that the hotel indeed has smoking rooms. Upon entering our room, we found two ashtrays clearly displayed. However, there were 'no smoking' signs in the lobby, and the elevator screens stated that the hotel is completely smoke-free. These two conflicting standards are baffling. Luckily, our room itself didn't smell of smoke. I'm not sure what Ningbo's smoking policy actually stipulates. Second, the breakfast was unexpectedly poor. How poor? So poor that it was hard to feel full. I've always thought Shangri-La's buffet breakfast standard was higher than most five-star hotels, but this one was understaffed, the variety of food was terrible, and the coffee tasted really bad. It's almost comical when you think about it; they're automatic coffee machines, so it's quite an achievement to make coffee taste bad. What's even more ridiculous is that there was a waffle maker, but on the first day when I asked, I was told waffles were only available in the Horizon Club. On the second day, I saw them making waffles, approached to inquire, and was told that due to a change in breakfast policy, they were not served there. As for the location, the view of Sanjiangkou is exactly as you see it, and we felt it wasn't worth seeing. But if you want to walk to Tianyi Square or the Old Bund, all I can say is 'haha,' you'll rely entirely on electric scooters for transportation. The nearby K11 is deserted, surrounded by hoardings. The only positive was the housekeeping auntie. Seeing that I kept boiling water to drink, she proactively brought me a few more bottles of water, which was very thoughtful.

Our stay at the Pan Pacific Ningbo during the National Day holiday exceeded our expectations! The festive atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable. Our butler, Viki, was incredibly attentive and responsive, handling all our requests promptly and efficiently. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with attention to detail that made us feel very secure. In the lobby, there was even a clown making balloon animals, which the kids absolutely loved and didn't want to leave. A pleasant surprise was the hotel's free shuttle service, which could take us to the city center and various attractions, saving us the hassle of taxis – a huge plus for families traveling. Both the facilities and the services were excellent, offering incredible value for money. It's perfect for families with children or anyone on a holiday. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Ningbo. Thank you, Viki, highly recommended!

The hotel's location is pretty good, not far from the subway. There are many shopping malls nearby like K11, and it's also close to Tianyi Square. It's about a 20-minute walk to the Old Bund, but be careful because there are two Home Inn hotels on this street. We initially navigated to the wrong one and had to walk a few hundred meters further to find the right one. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and had a great attitude. It's good value for money, especially during holidays.

The room was quiet with no noise, the air conditioning worked powerfully, and the soundproofing was great. The hotel is in a good location, close to Hankyu Department Store and Metro Line 1, making getting around very convenient. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and even gave out fridge magnets at check-out. The breakfast featured freshly made waffles, which tasted great. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a top choice for business trips or short getaways to Ningbo~~~

The hotel's location is excellent, with Hankyu Department Store and Cultural Plaza nearby, making it convenient for dining and shopping. The service was also top-notch. The butler communicated proactively, and handling issues at night during our stay was exceptional. The front desk staff were also very competent, and colleagues were helping each other out, creating a great atmosphere. Breakfast was standard, and it was quite crowded during the National Day holiday. All necessary facilities were available, and the bedding was comfortable. The major drawback was the severe mosquito and insect problem. We didn't open the windows at all after entering the room, but my child was bitten seven times at night, which severely affected our rest. Such an issue is unacceptable in a 5-diamond hotel in an economically developed city. I've stayed in many old Xiangji and old state guesthouses in China, and never encountered similar problems, so it shouldn't be due to aging hardware. Other areas for improvement include the air conditioner's vibration noise and the detached waterproof strip in the bathroom. However, these might be specific to our room, but unfortunately, we experienced them. Also, the sink faucet was too short, which is a poorly designed feature.

This hotel definitely has an old-money vibe; I heard it was Ningbo's first five-star. Overall, the experience wasn't particularly outstanding, nor was it terrible – pretty standard. They have a doorman and concierge, and even follow up, but no butler service. The hotel felt empty due to low occupancy. The pool was quite unique and very clean. It must have been a top-tier 'influencer hot spot' back in the day. The room hygiene was decent, but the slippers in the pool area had a foul smell. They provided a complimentary mini-bar, which was a nice touch. I called to ask if the bar was busy, and the front desk didn't even know – they had to transfer me. Plus, it only stayed open until 11 PM, so we ended up going to the Irish pub next door.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, exceptionally clean and tidy. The front desk staff were warm and sincere. The location is super convenient, right next to the Ningbo Municipal Government building, which made me feel very safe. Plus, Hankyu Mall is nearby, so shopping and dining were a breeze.

Emma at the front desk was very responsive, the hotel breakfast offered a great variety, and the location was extremely convenient. However, the air conditioning in the room didn't cool at all, making both the lobby and the room very hot, and there was a musty smell in the hallway.
