JANATA HOTEL is one of the biggest and oldest hotel in Dum Dum Nagerbazar area.It consists 32AC rooms.Kolkata Airport,Sealdah and Howrah station are just 10min,20min,30min distant respectively from it.Dum Dum Metro station is just10 min away.It is centrally located with ATM,SHOPPING MALL,MARKET within 500 meters of it.It is a complete low budget family hotel with all basic amenities.
"I saw the stay on google map and decided to visit, I asked on the counter if they have any room available and then they show me the room, we decided to stay here. Receptionist asked us to book on mmt for cheaper prices and we got the room for just 600 for two."

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The highlight of my stay was the courteous and friendly staff, who were always willing to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made a great impression. The rooms, though on the smaller side, were clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. While space was a bit limited, the overall ambiance was decent, and the amenities provided were satisfactory. The service made up for any minor shortcomings, and i would consider staying here again. Overall, a good option if you value excellent hospitality over room size.

GGuest UserThe room was smaller than expected. Not cleaned. Spot on bedsheet. No towel, handwash. Mirror is also expired it's useful life. Geyser is not working. In the wardrobe, lots of untidy pillows are dumped.

TTechQuilaOverall, everything was okay, and as per expectations. I stayed for just a single night, and checked in quite late, the staff was quite helpful in accommodating the last minute request. I even checked out quite early, 5am next morning. Services/facilities were okay I would say given the price paid, as the aircon was not working, I found a roach in the bathroom and a few insects on the bed, and the room was a bit smelly (with windows closed), so those attributes could be improved. Else all good.

GGuest UserHotel is nearby birla school, mint o park. Park street and Arselan biryani ( park circus) is walkable distance. Theater road join birla platarium. Rate is quite high on the basis of service. Breakfast is not good. Charging for drinking water. Restaurant was full of hukka lover in the evening. Smoke is everywhere in restaurant.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and was left feeling underwhelmed. The room was extremely compact, which was manageable, but the real issue was the non-functional water heater. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to report the issue as I had an urgent flight to catch. What really took the cake was the exorbitant charge of ₹300 for airport dropping. I was shocked to find that I could hail a cab just a minute's walk from the hotel on the main road for a maximum of ₹200. This felt like a clear case of taking advantage of guests. While the hotel's location is convenient, the overall experience was marred by these issues. I hope the management takes steps to address these concerns and provides better value for money. Recommendation:* Consider other options in the area that offer better amenities and more reasonable prices.
