YYanggaomeinvTraveling to Harbin with my child, our first stop was the Xana Hotel (Harbin Central Street Sophia Church). The hotel's location is perfect, situated in the middle-north section of Central Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. Zhaolin Park is just 100 meters east, across the street, and the main Central Street is 50 meters west. St. Sophia Cathedral is about 500-800 meters away on foot. The hotel lobby was super cozy, offering a stamp check-in and afternoon tea. The staff provided excellent service. Since I hadn't planned my trip and decided to go last minute, I asked about Harbin's specialties. They even added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to dining, entertainment, and attractions around the hotel. The breakfast was incredibly rich, meeting all the nutritional needs (meat, eggs, milk, fruit) required for traveling with a child. On the day of check-out, I decided last minute to take some travel photos with my child near St. Sophia, which delayed our check-out time. The staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM for free. All in all, our first stop in Harbin made us feel so warm. If you're staying around Central Street, Xana is definitely the best choice!!! I've already recommended it to many friends since returning to Beijing. 😙😙😙

GGuest UserThe public areas are very well-maintained; the corridors and elevators are free of trash, and the overall environment is fresh and tidy. It's very convenient to get to nearby attractions! The environment is superb, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is plentiful. They even gave our child a fridge magnet, which was a lovely touch!

11860104****1. The location is incredibly convenient, with many popular attractions within walking distance. The best part is the Harbin Ice and Snow World; the shuttle bus (Bus 123) drops you off at a stop just 100 meters from the hotel.
2. Right across the street, there are free ice lanterns to see at Zhaolin Park, which is said to be the former site of the Ice and Snow World. It's like a miniature version of it, so if your schedule isn't too tight, it's worth considering.
3. The bed is very comfortable. What I liked most is that if you're two adults and one child, some rooms offer a bed-joining service to create a 2.4m king-size bed, ensuring a super comfortable sleep.
4. Every afternoon, they offer afternoon tea (with frozen pears and frozen persimmons) and a 'goodnight milk' service. They also have trendy traditional outfits for guests. I'm not sure if the offerings change daily.
5. They thoughtfully provide a winter essentials kit: earmuffs, gloves, and hand warmers.
6. Complimentary items include a fruit platter, Sprite, and canned yellow peaches. So thoughtful!
7. There's also apple cider and other warm beverages to keep you cozy all day.
8. There's an authentic 'tie guo dun' (iron pot stew) restaurant right outside, so you don't have to queue at famous网红 (internet-famous) spots. (I think 'Kao He Tun' is pretty good – it has an authentic Northeastern flavor that locals love. If you're from the south, I'd suggest asking them to go easy on the salt.)
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel. The service is excellent, and it truly feels like a home away from home.

3320779****The hotel is tucked away on Tongjiang Street, just behind Central Avenue, about an 8-10 minute walk away. The location is excellent, with St. Sophia Church, Stalin Park, the Songhua River, and Parkson Shopping Center all nearby! It's an absolutely fantastic spot. There are also plenty of supermarkets and restaurants around. I highly recommend the 'Tie Guo Dun' (iron pot stew) next door – specifically the 'xiaoguo hubing' (small pot stew with pancakes) – which was a recommendation from the hotel's front desk staff. For a 'Southern potato' like me, the flavor might be a little strong, but it's really good! The chicken feet were so tender they melted in your mouth.
From the lobby to the rooms, there's a faint floral scent. For a family trip, the room size is perfectly adequate for a family of three. Details like toothbrushes and shampoo are all provided, and if you need anything, just call the front desk and they'll bring it right away – the service is superb! The rooms are never cold; the temperature is just right for sleeping at night! It was my first time experiencing the heating system here in Northeast China, and it was very comfortable!
For breakfast, we had the hotel's in-house breakfast, which is Russian cuisine on the first floor. We chose the fried noodles, and the noodles had a perfect texture. Everyone should give it a try! The hotel staff described it as 'New Chinese Russian cuisine'! It was my first time trying it and it was delicious!! Arriving in Harbin, I immediately felt the snow falling! Very lucky! I took so many photos of the snowy scenery!

GGuest UserWe brought our child to Harbin for Chinese New Year's Eve and after looking at many hotels, we finally chose Wanda Holiday Inn. It was definitely the right choice! 👍 When checking in, the front desk lady offered us warm hot tea, which instantly made us feel cozy. The staff was genuinely enthusiastic and even told us about a free dumpling feast on New Year's Eve. That evening, we took our child to make dumplings and then ate them while watching the Spring Festival Gala 🥟. The hotel had a wonderful festive atmosphere. On the morning of New Year's Day, there was even a 'Welcoming the God of Wealth' activity, which our child really enjoyed. These activities at the hotel made our New Year's Eve trip truly fulfilling. If we come to Harbin again, we'll definitely choose Wanda Holiday Inn – the value for money is really high! 👍

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying here, and overall I was very satisfied. When I first arrived, I didn’t have high expectations since the lobby is not located on the ground floor. However, once I went up to the 4th floor, the lobby felt spacious and luxurious.
The check-in process was fairly standard, taking around 10 minutes. The staff had limited English skills, and there was no warm welcome as you might expect from a four-star hotel. However, since this is in China, this may simply be the local standard.
I stayed in a room for three people. The room was not very spacious, but still acceptable for three large suitcases. One strange thing was that only two towels were provided, and even until check-out, they were never replenished to three, despite the room being booked for three guests.
The room heater worked well. There was no bidet in the toilet, and the shower’s hot water was sometimes inconsistent, occasionally turning cold unexpectedly. The TV channels were limited to local Chinese channels only, and the TV was not a smart TV.
Breakfast was quite varied and tasted good. The location is excellent — about a 7-minute walk to Zhongyang Street, a 2-minute walk to Sophia Cathedral, around an 8-minute walk to the nearest metro station, and the hotel is directly connected to a mall next door, making it very convenient for shopping and visiting the supermarket for daily needs.
Overall, it’s a fairly good option. If I visit Harbin again, I would consider staying at this hotel again, especially considering the reasonable price for such a strategic location.

MM312603****We stayed here for a ski trip. Our butler contacted us a day in advance and picked us up as soon as we got off the high-speed train. We were able to check in around 10 AM, which I thought would be much later.
We had lunch on the hotel's first basement floor, and the food was exceptionally delicious and perfectly suited my Cantonese palate.
After skiing, we returned around 4 PM, and the butler brought us a humidifier and some fruit.
Any service we requested in the evening was delivered immediately after a phone call; the response time was incredible.
If it weren't for my teammate getting sick and needing to return to Harbin for treatment, we would have definitely stayed another night, especially since we still had a day trip to Snow Village planned.
When we left for the station, the butler even rode with us to see us off. They were so thoughtful and enthusiastic. Although the weather was cold, it warmed our hearts.

The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view.
The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please.
This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret.
It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place?
Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.

The hotel is very quiet and conveniently located right next to Songlei Yuanda. There's free parking available within the hotel grounds. This winter, when I arrived, the central air conditioning was already blasting hot air as soon as I entered the room! It felt so warm and cozy. Plus, it's very close to the subway station, making it super easy to get around.
