The hotel is ideally located right on Central Street. Its rich historical charm is a significant selling point. Since my child and I have different routines, I listened to the hotel's introduction twice – once with my husband and once with my child – and the experiences were quite different. The first young lady rattled through the information quickly, almost like reciting from memory. However, the second gentleman was very enthusiastic, telling stories, reminding us to record and take photos, interacting with my child, and even offering to get house-made yogurt for the little one, which was wonderful. The hotel introductions seem to follow a standard template and are a bit too short. Adding more stories would enhance the experience; for example, the introductions at Suzhou Nan Yuan Hotel are particularly engaging.
The hotel kettle is truly ancient. The lid pops open while boiling water, and it doesn't automatically switch off when the water boils, leading to it boiling dry. This is genuinely poor and poses a safety hazard. At breakfast, I asked for sesame oil for my child's noodles, and the noodle-making auntie initially said there wasn't any. I then asked if she could get some from the back kitchen, and she did eventually get some for my child. Overall, the stay was decent, but as a five-star hotel, it needs to improve its service, facilities, and staff training.

Guzi114After arriving at Harbin West High-Speed Rail Station, I followed the signs for taxis and took one to the vicinity of Sunac City Mall, where I easily found the hotel entrance. Before I even got out of the car, a handsome staff member was already there to greet me and help with my luggage. At the front desk, three lovely ladies greeted me with polite smiles, asking for my reservation name and other details. When I presented my ID for check-in, the sweet Mandy tentatively asked if I'd be interested in a room upgrade and how that would work. A special shout-out to Mandy for noticing we had two children during check-in; she thoughtfully gifted us two small presents and two days' worth of breakfast for my older child (who is over 120cm tall) ❤️. She also made sure to inform housekeeping to send up two disposable bath and toilet sets! Another commendation to the housekeeping staff who warmly provided us with two pairs of children's slippers and a pack of bottled water! As southerners, it was both touching and impressive to see a hotel so generously provide a whole pack of water to the room for the first time. Mandy would proactively greet us politely every day and ask if we needed any help, offering excellent suggestions for our 4-day, 3-night self-guided tour (the Northeastern spicy hotpot and BBQ are truly delicious!). I also want to praise the hotel's daily freshly cooked noodle section, including beef offal noodles and other varieties; the fresh toppings were flavorful and appetizing, and the staff were all enthusiastic, patient, and polite! My child said every day that they didn't want to leave and wanted to stay longer, wanting to return here next time! The hotel's bedding and soundproofing were excellent, and the blackout curtains were fantastic, ensuring our family, after a day of 'special forces'-style walking tours, could get a full night's rest every evening! The shower pressure was strong, and the bathroom's non-slip and drainage were spot on. The unrestricted access to electricity cards, allowing the room to remain well-ventilated, was a great touch! In short, satisfaction guaranteed!

wujin7733Exceeded expectations, highly recommended! Next time I come to Harbin, I'll definitely stay for more nights. Before arriving in Harbin, when booking a hotel, besides location and facilities, my main concern was whether there was a pool for kids. After much deliberation among several star-rated hotels, I finally chose Shangri-La Songbei. It turned out to be the absolute best decision of our Harbin-Yichun trip.
The most surprising thing? It has to be the hotel's window view! We gasped the moment we entered the room – it was simply stunning! How could there be such a large window, such a beautiful view of the Songhua River, and such a perfect hotel? This scene made us never want to leave the room; just quietly sitting by the window and enjoying the scenery was enough.
Next, let's talk about the hotel's service, which was also top-notch! We had an early flight back to Beijing on our departure day. We had booked a room with breakfast, but since we had to leave by 6 AM, we wouldn't be able to enjoy it. So, when checking in, I asked the front desk if there was a solution. The hotel offered a incredibly thoughtful plan: they prepared simple packed meals for us to take away. When we checked out, I saw three bags for the three of us, and each bag contained three packed containers with fruits, pastries, eggs, sausages, and more – it was so comprehensive! Who wouldn't love such a considerate hotel?
Finally, one more thing: there aren't many dining options near the hotel. There's only one dumpling restaurant across the road. We navigated there, walked around for a long time, and just as we were about to give up, we discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant nearby called 'Dufu Smoked & Sauced Dumpling Longjiang Cuisine.' I highly recommend this restaurant too! The dishes are diverse, delicious, and affordably priced. It's truly a treasure! I'm already planning to replicate this experience with Shangri-La Songbei and Dufu Restaurant on my next trip to Harbin – I'm so excited to plan my next Harbin itinerary just for them! 😘

The hotel was clean and tidy. I chose to stay at the Sofitel Harbin for my trip to Harbin this time, and my overall experience was exceptionally satisfying. It truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing, high-end five-star hotel in the area. The hotel's location is excellent, directly opposite Xiangjiang Park and adjacent to Wanda Plaza, making shopping, dining, and short excursions incredibly convenient. In my leisure time, I could even stroll through the park to enjoy the scenery and relax. The lobby features a French-inspired light luxury design with a sophisticated feel. The high ceilings paired with exquisite chandeliers create a rich and elegant atmosphere. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, and daily housekeeping is meticulous. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and each room is equipped with a humidifier, perfect for the northern climate. The double-glazed windows provide excellent sound insulation, ensuring a quiet and undisturbed rest. From the concierge to the front desk and housekeeping staff, everyone was highly professional. Check-in was efficient and smooth, and the service was attentive and discreet, without being overly solicitous. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including local Northeastern specialties. The heated swimming pool and 24-hour gym are well-equipped. This hotel is suitable for both leisure travelers and business stays. My entire stay was incredibly comfortable, and I will definitely prioritize this hotel again on my next visit to Harbin.

MuzixiaotuThis is the biggest hotel I've stayed in for this price point. I love the hotel's style – it's very photogenic, the ambiance is great, and the service is excellent. Special shout-out to Sally Zhang, the executive lounge concierge, for her incredibly thoughtful and wonderful service! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Aside from being a bit pricey, I have no other complaints. I'll definitely come back when I have more money. The breakfast is super thoughtful, serving until 1 PM, and afternoon tea is from 2 PM to 8 PM. The hotel's scent is also lovely. They used to have late-night snacks, but not anymore – I highly recommend bringing them back permanently! Also, the toiletries used to be small bottles you could take home, but now they've switched to large bottles that can't be taken. 😭

The room was huge, we didn't even have enough time to enjoy it all in three days and two nights, haha! The hot springs were clean! The 'yin-yang' hot pot-style pool was hilarious! The outdoor swimming pool was also fantastic! The water was so clean, and there were interactive activities at 3 PM which were a lot of fun! The staff were also very enthusiastic ❤️

The environment here is really great. We had a two-room suite, and the kids' room had a car-shaped bed with side rails, so my child slept very safely. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Song Chunyong from the restaurant for taking such good care of my child. Several other ladies in the restaurant were also very attentive, proactively asking if we needed anything and preparing food for our child. The front desk staff were also very welcoming; they kindly extended our check-out time to 2 PM since our child was napping. We come here every week and always feel comfortable and at ease during our stay.

Guest UserThe hotel. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious, with fresh squeezed juice and a great noodle station. I'd give the breakfast a full score. The breakfast service was also good.
The account manager, Manager Zhu, was warm, friendly, and provided thorough and attentive service.
The bedding and air conditioning were comfortable, and there was plenty of water and tissues. The pool reception didn't provide towels, and the electronic scale was broken, which could be improved.
The executive lounge has great views. I suggest improving the variety and quality of the food there.

We'll definitely choose this place again next time. Highly recommended!
