"The hotel offers comprehensive facilities. While the room was a little on the smaller side, it certainly provides good value for money. Its location is excellent and easy to find, just a short walk from both the Cathedral and Central Avenue, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
However, the absolute highlight was the exceptional service. I'd especially like to commend the charming young lady who handled our check-in and the security guard. Both were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and went above and beyond to proactively address any guest inquiries or issues. Their excellent service made us feel truly comfortable and well taken care of. "The service was incredibly warm and welcoming. The front desk staff always greeted us enthusiastically whenever we came and went. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious. All disposable toiletries were provided, including disposable paper cups for brushing teeth, which were individually wrapped and very hygienic. It would have been even more perfect if disposable toilet seat covers had been provided.
The location is superb! It's only about a five-minute walk from the subway station, and Central Street is just 30 meters to the right when you exit the building. Parking is available downstairs, and taxis can drop you off right at the entrance. There's also a small plaza nearby. Additionally, there's an underground shopping mall with direct access to the Daoli Market! St. Sophia Cathedral is only about a 10-minute walk away. You'll find many Russian restaurants in the vicinity, and the Lao Chang Chun Bing (spring pancake) restaurant downstairs is particularly delicious. Plus, there are numerous milk tea and coffee shops just a stone's throw away.
Overall, it was a perfectly wonderful stay!"

We didn't have high demands for accommodation; all we needed was a clean place close to Central Street. This apartment-style guesthouse we found perfectly met our expectations. The location was absolutely fantastic – incredibly convenient! The room was spotless, and the bed linen had a subtle, fresh scent, allowing us to sleep peacefully. Overall, we were very satisfied. The host was incredibly warm and friendly. Although our room didn't have a washing machine, the host kindly offered us access to their utility room for laundry and even provided a drying rack. This level of thoughtfulness and friendliness truly made us feel incredibly positive about the city and completely reassured us about our child studying here. We were so happy! "The room was much more spacious and brighter than it appeared in the pictures. The decor was simple yet stylish, making for a very comfortable stay. What surprised me most was how incredibly clean everything was. The sheets and duvet covers were spotless and completely odorless, and the bathroom was immaculate, with even the corners sparkling clean.
The hotel's location is fantastic; it's right by the Songhua River, parking is convenient, and it's close to all the attractions and shopping areas. Plus, there are plenty of great little restaurants nearby.
It's rare to find a hotel with such great value for money. I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely choose it again next time I'm here. Definitely a five-star rating!
The owner was also super friendly and enthusiastic, and gave great recommendations for sightseeing routes."

"Our room had a slight issue with the window, but the front desk attendant quickly helped us switch to another room, which was great. The view from the window was absolutely stunning, and the hotel is very close to Harbin West Station, just a few minutes' walk away. There's a washing machine available (though we didn't use it). It was quiet, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk attendant provided excellent service. I give it a full five stars."

"The room was spacious and very clean, exactly as pictured online, making it perfect for families with children. The host was also very nice.
From the room, we could see the Songhua River and, in the far distance, the Ferris wheel of the Ice and Snow World.
The nearby Baroque district was still undergoing renovation, with many old buildings being remodeled, which made the surrounding area a bit messy.
PS: The barbecue restaurant directly opposite the apartment building downstairs was delicious.

"Even before we arrived, the owner proactively shared some excellent travel tips with us. Our stay in Harbin was incredibly comfortable, and we had a fantastic time. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed exceptionally comfortable, and the accommodation truly exceeded my expectations. The restaurants she recommended, such as Hongda Laocaiguan and Portman Russian Restaurant, were all superb. Her advice about Sun Island and Gogol Street also proved invaluable, helping us avoid potential tourist traps. We found Gogol Street wasn't really worth exploring when we passed by, and Sun Island felt quite ordinary and lacked any unique charm; after experiencing the cable car and ferry, we decided to head back. All thanks to the owner's thoughtful guidance, our Harbin trip was not only enjoyable but also allowed us to truly experience the city's charm. We're definitely planning to come back in winter!"

FFizzywizzyThe host and everyone there were so warm and welcoming. Very nice to my kids, they even let my kids borrow their snow toy for them to enjoy in the snow outside the room.
Love the family room, got projector so we had winter movie night. The driver Mr Li was cheerful and so kind to bring us to the local convenience store, and recommended place for ice tubing and snow activities, he also brought us to one of the halal/muslim food which was abt 25mins drive away. The apartment is so beautiful and exceptionally Recommended place.

GGuest UserHarbin Anshu Family Hotel has only 7 rooms and a family who look after the rooms and guests. Their services are just outstanding. I had a serious problem when i arrived as i had not had time in Beijing, where i was in transit from UK to Harbin, to get a phone SIM Card. Anshu Family Hotel took me to the China Mobile shop in Harbin and stayed with me until i got my card. They flatly refused payment for helping me even though it cost them a lot of time so i got them some grapes as a very small gift to say thankyou for helping me so kindly.
The process took nearly two hours due to a complication on my UK phone number settings. However the staff at China Mobile were really good, the Anshu Family were just incredibly patient. They simply would not leave until i was fixed up and able to use my phone. I stayed for just under a week to go to see the major attractions in Harbin, a City with a totally unique identity in China due to its Russian and European Architecture. It is one of the most fascinating cities i have ever visited, Harbin Museum being quite astonishing in its variety and quality of Artifacts. It was the 16th Museum or Museum type building i have visited in China and one of the most enjoyable. This year was Harbins 26th Ice Show, with the Winter Games coming up soon.
The Anshu Family Hotel is spot on location for both events, just a $3 taxi ride or Metro for just cents. The hotel has lots of shops, supermarkets, several food roads bristling with many many choices of meal. The Anshu Family make a very low charge for their rooms, in my opinion it could be far higher but they stick at their price.
I had not asked for breakfast as i go out early to get to see as much as possible during my day sightseeing.
The night before i left i asked them if they would get me a taxi for the morning to get my train. I was to get the taxi at 6.45am. At 5.50 a knock on the door and they came to give me three boiled eggs and a meat stew with noodles. Honestly no Hotel has treated me so kindly. I really recommend grabbing a room with Anshu most especially if you are going to the Ice Show or Winter games.
It is a budget Hotel, so be aware of that, but I got a spotless sheet, cover duvet and i was as warm as toast room at night. The water shower is piping hot. Opposite the Hotel road is a huge Govt building as a landmark, i never had any problem finding it. There is a Bank of China two hundred metres from Anshu Family Hotel.
Anshu, in my opinion must be one of the top deals on offer from Trip.com.

WWarittA Last-Minute Booking That Became the Best Decision
This trip was quite a spontaneous one, and I spent a lot of time choosing the right place to stay before finally deciding on this one. Many people told me that Snow Valley wasn’t worth visiting, that there wasn’t much to see or do—but I felt like I had to come. And I’m so glad I did.
The main reason I chose this place was because I absolutely loved the room and the view. However, leading up to the trip, I had a lot of concerns—Would the village be closed? Would the snow have melted? Would there still be activities to do? So many questions ran through my mind, especially since I was traveling near the end of the season. But the owner of the accommodation was incredibly reassuring, answering all my questions honestly and making me feel much more at ease.
I arrived in the evening, and although the journey was a bit dark and quiet with not many tourists around, the warm welcome I received made up for everything. The owner and their family were beyond wonderful—so kind and genuine that words can’t fully capture how I felt. You really have to come and experience it for yourself. The next morning, I had booked an activity at Wu Song Ling, and once again, the family took such great care of me. I already know I’ll be coming back, again and again.
I regret that I was so caught up in the beautiful lights and atmosphere of the hotel that I completely forgot to take photos. But next time, I’ll visit during peak season and make sure to capture every moment.
Thank you so much to everyone for the amazing hospitality. Breakfast was delicious, though I woke up late and didn’t have much time to enjoy it. I truly regret staying for just one night—next time, I won’t make the same mistake. I’ll definitely stay longer!

MM243909****The rooms are full of authentic Northeastern Chinese character. The owner and their family were incredibly kind, and the food served at their own restaurant was delicious. In the evening, there was even a Tanghulu-making activity. The dining hall features a large *kang* (traditional heated bed) and various items that allow you to experience authentic Northeastern daily life. The children staying at the hotel had a wonderful time playing together, and all the guests also gathered in the dining room, happily chatting with the owner and their family. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and personal. It was my child's favorite hotel of the entire trip.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm, not as stiff as traditional hotels. After strolling in the evening, I came back and closed the curtains, ate supper and watched a movie, and nestled comfortably on the sofa. The self-service check-in is very friendly to people with social phobia 😁, saving the tediousness of going to the front desk to check in.
ps: What is surprising is that it is equipped with a disposable toilet cover, which is very detailed and warm! Thumbs up!!! I will come again next time if I have the chance!

IIBRAHIM إِبۡرَاهِيمَ 依布拉欣If you're planning to visit the Harbin Ice and Snow World, remember to purchase spikes at the counter (8 YUAN). It's affordable and can prevent falls and injuries. Unfortunately, I slipped on the ice and badly hurt my ankle. Luckily, there's a nearby hospital, Harbin Shengfeng Hospital, just a 10-15 minute walk away (you can use Google Maps). The doctors there are helpful, but they don't speak English, so bring your passport and use Google Translate if needed.
On a brighter note, I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. They have a large mirror and a hot water station where you can prepare instant noodles. Although they don't have a kitchen, you can easily get utensils and a mug from nearby convenience stores, especially if you're planning to make coffee.
One thing I found really convenient was the international charger ports provided for each bed. Before checking out, remember to strip your bed and leave a note in the lobby to indicate your presence. I left a Malaysian flag as my mark.
