2-Star Hotels in New York

The environment is excellent, the hotel is relatively new, and the rooms are quite spacious, which is a rarity in New York. The price is also acceptable. Among Western-style breakfasts, this one is quite rich. If you don't mind being a little further from Manhattan, it's actually a great choice. Most of the staff are very nice, especially the housekeeping team, who are very polite and keep everything spotlessly clean. There are many good restaurants on the way to the subway.

Good location, the shuttle service wait at the federal circle, take about 15 minute to reach Hotel, upon arrival, front desk will ask you about the shuttle service for departing to airport. We got prepack breakfast around 5am, can just take directly at the dining hall.

Location: A convenient 7-minute drive from JFK. Not too far from the city either, about half an hour to Manhattan. Facilities are decent, but they don't clean rooms daily; you have to call for things like toilet paper. The hotel lobby offers breakfast, which is okay quality but filling. Free coffee and tea are available. The hotel is busy with people constantly coming and going, very lively atmosphere.

Service was amazing! Both the check-in and check-out processes were easy. The person at check-in was particularly kind and friendly. Yes, it can be loud outside but it's also Brooklyn. I had no trouble sleeping undisturbed through the night. This is very specific but I really liked the soap/etc. pumps installed into the bathroom/shower walls. Far less wasteful than those little soaps that other hotels have. I would definitely stay again and probably will again soon!

My stay and experience was excellent inclusive of location, customer service will recommend to anyone friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a pleasant atmosphere. They also offered amenities like a good breakfast

The front desk was replaced by a guy who looked like an Indian. I was given a basement room, which was really small and bad. There were people arguing at night, and the sound was not blocked at all, just like a shadow play. Someone also tried to open my room door at one or two o'clock (in the early morning), probably because they read the wrong room number. Overall, this stay was a negative experience.

The hotel was not nearly as bad as the other reviews make it out to be. If you are okay with not having a 5-star hotel, this will be perfectly fine for you. The room was clean, only thing was there was some mold in the wall grout in the bathroom. The room we were originally put in didn’t have a TV that worked, so we were given a different room. Room came with a clean refrigerator (microwave is communal downstairs), clean sheets, and clean towels. Breakfast is included and free, but it’s really only the basics: some pastries and cereal. But it’s New York — there’s bodegas and bagel shops a 10 min walk away (check out Bagel Pub!) Subway station is 1 block away. It takes about 35 minutes to get into downtown Manhattan, which may seem like a lot, but for the price, I don’t mind riding the subway for a little longer. For the price, I think it’s exactly what you’d expect — not perfect, but doable.

The hotel service is very weak. The refrigerator does not cool down. I told the employee that I did not want the room. She said that she would change your room the next day at nine in the morning, and that I would leave the next day at eleven. I felt that it was a kind of manipulation of the guest’s time, because the room would not be changed two hours before the guest leaves.

The hotel is located at a very high level, with the subway at the corner and the entrance to Central Park opposite. The hotel is a bit old, with only one elevator for the 14 floors. The bathroom design is unreasonable, with the flush toilet next to the bathtub, which is very small and has a very thick wall handle, making it almost impossible to stand and turn around, and the shower is extremely uncomfortable! Manhattan hotels in New York are expensive, but the price is acceptable for this location. The hotel's room card system is very old, and the card will be deleted when you put it together with your phone. At this time, when you arrive at the door, you must take the only elevator down to swipe again. I swipe twice in three days!

Always kept team of guardians (police) at the entrance of hotel. This is disgusting, mainly when the guard stoped me, to indict me that I didn't pay, asking questions to customers. Ugly, bad experience. I don't understand why the hotel kept guards inside, inside, the hotel, they offend me, tried me like inmate. Urrrr....
