"Overall, Element Times Square West was a very good base for my 16‑night business stay, and I would return if the rate is right next March or April. The location is excellent – an easy walk to Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and major subway lines, which made getting to meetings and sightseeing very convenient. Staff were generally friendly and helpful, and maintenance responded quickly when I reported an issue with the shower faucet, resolving it within a day. The room was comfortable, especially the bed, and overall cleanliness was good, though housekeeping only comes every other day, which seems to be their standard practice to reduce housekeeping frequency. This schedule was a bit surprising at first but manageable once I got used to it. Breakfast was included and okay, but the selection was basically the same every day, so it became repetitive after the first few mornings and I ended up going out for breakfast from about day three onward. For a longer stay, more variety would make a big difference. In summary, this hotel works very well if you prioritize a convenient Midtown location and a comfortable room over daily housekeeping and a varied breakfast, and I would be happy to stay again on a future trip if they offer a good rate."

"Room was really small. Very strong stench of ********* everyday in the walkway from the lift to my room. Also, the AC/heater vent is extremely loud and would buzz all night. Definitely not for light sleepers unless you’re fine with white noise in the background. There are four lifts but they’re really slow and there’s always a long queue for lifts especially during peak hours. You might have to wait 1-3 lifts before it’s your turn. Never seen this at other hotels. Pros were that the TV could connect to Netflix seamlessly. Room had a coffee machine that could double up as a hot kettle. Great Crabtree & Evelyn shower amenities. Room was clean. Reception and housekeeping also rectified issues quickly and were extremely courteous and helpful."

"This hotel is conveniently located near Times Square and 5th Avenue, just a 5-minute walk from the subway. There's a Target supermarket right across the street, making it super easy to get around. The lobby is on the 21st floor, and check-in is available after 4 PM. We were able to store our luggage for free on the day we arrived. Our room on the 32nd floor was a corner room with windows on two sides, offering great views. It was clean, spacious, and bright, and there was even a Chinese-speaking receptionist, which was a thoughtful touch. The ground floor entrance is a bit small and has a pillar in the middle, but once you're inside, it's quite spacious. My only complaint is that housekeeping only made the bed and emptied the trash; they didn't clean the hair on the floor or restock the tissues and toilet paper. I hope they can improve on that."

"The hotel is centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, very close to Grand Central Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The hotel facilities are decent."

"The hotel was generally very clean. The location, I suppose like everywhere else in Manhattan, was constantly noisy with car horns and the unsettling sounds of police and ambulance sirens. The hotel staff were certainly friendly, but that's not quite the same as being efficient. The front desk area was unusually small. Perhaps it was due to the peak season, but there was a continuous overflow of people checking in and out, and no one was managing the queue. As a result, some less attentive individuals had to wait forever for their turn, which made me think, 'Only in America.' The power outlet in my room was faulty, and my phone didn't charge overnight. I only realized it when my phone was about to die while I was out the next day, which caused a panic. When I returned and informed the hotel, they replaced it immediately. However, it seemed like they were only replacing them as complaints came in, which made me wonder about their maintenance policy. Also, perhaps it's standard practice everywhere in NYC, but storing luggage after check-out cost $5 per bag."

"The hotel had great amenities like free water and hot chocolate at the lobby. The room was a bit messy and restroom wasn’t very clean when I first checked in. I had to wipe the shower down myself. Overall what I expected, but the elevators were the worst part. They had only one elevator working for 32 floors of rooms and had to wait 15 minutes multiple times throughout my stay to take the elevator up or down."

"Great location….but that’s what you’re paying for. Check in was fast and the staff were welcoming and friendly. There are umbrellas to use in the rainy weather and the front concierge staff are happy and greet you nicely. The location is convenient- close to all main sites of NYC but just far away enough from the noise and bustle so you can have a peaceful night’s sleep. Air conditioning can be adjusted as our room got a little too cool for our comfort. The luxury king room high floor itself is disappointing. Quite a bit more in cost compared to a standard king room, the room doesn’t have any fabulous views or even a bathtub that can accommodate someone comfortably. One website advertises the luxury king rooms have a ‘spa bath’. This is fact is not true and incorrect. Room slippers are very nice and there are enough towels for 2 people. Pillows are too soft and the room furniture is tired-looking. Some peeling wallpaper as well indicating the need for a refit. For the money, there’s no breakfast either and if you wish to extend your checkout after 11am, it’s $100 for 1-3 hours. A bit rich, considering you’re better off getting a lounge pass at the airport or simply go for a walk around this amazing city. To compensate, there’s an awesome diner 50m from the hotel that serves fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bathroom products are lovely- Balmain and there’s only 1 bathrobe in the room, which I thought was strange, considering the booking was for 2 people. No minibar either… why is this?! I would stay again simply because of the location but I would not pay for the luxury king room high floor again, as it’s not worth the money. Keep the location but take a standard room."

"We had a grand time! We came in early and we were pleased that we were accommodated warmly. The place in Chelsea was really noce and we felt at home. HAMPTON INN will now be our first choice on our next travels to the US Northeast."

"As expected of New York, it's incredibly expensive. The room was ridiculously small, but it was fine for sleeping alone. The service was good, but the sheets and duvet cover needed changing as they were pilling."

"This hotel is really close to the Javits Center in New York, about a 10-minute walk, which was super convenient for my business trip. There are also convenience stores nearby, making daily life very easy. Of course, the facilities can't compare to hotels in China, as most hotels here are quite old. However, the environment and cleanliness were good, and the room was comfortable. For a week-long stay, they cleaned every two days, and it didn't affect service even if I didn't leave a tip, which was nice as it's not mandatory. Overall, it's quite friendly for Chinese travelers.🤭"
