Amazing
GGuest UserMohammed was a wonderful host with great communication throughout our stay and the apartment was spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfy and so was the sofa bed according to my son. Lots of tea, coffee, sugar and other spices in the flat too so no need to bring or buy any of that. A real bonus was lots of universal power points all around the apartment for charging phones and devices. Towels , shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer and hair straighteners all provided too. Plenty of supermarkets nearby. I have been to Marrakech many times and prefer to stay in this area as it's a good walk to the Medina and has some great restaurants nearby, where you pay local prices not tourist prices ! For most tours a pickup point is at the station which is a 2 minute walk away.
Mohammed printed out our return flight tickets for us and also booked us a cheap taxi to the airport too (again local price not tourist). Would definitely return here again. Great value and service.
Thank you Mohammed for the great service you were a wonderful host!
GGuest UserStayed at Riad Mama for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was an unforgettable experience.
The riad itself is beautiful and tastefully decorated, but what truly made the stay exceptional were the people and their outstanding service. Dunya went above and beyond, helping me with my large luggage to the lobby and keeping my room spotless at all times. Farid prepared Moroccan tea for me on my first night on the rooftop and generously shared great restaurant recommendations. Nour, the director, and her sister greeted me with warm smiles every time they saw me and provided truly fantastic service.
They offered warm, genuine hospitality and consistently went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I genuinely felt like a welcomed guest rather than a tourist. When I unfortunately had food poisoning on my second day and didn’t leave my room at all, they noticed and checked on me to make sure I was okay. That level of care meant so much to me. Lastly, the riad itself is literally just 2–4 minutes away from Jemaa el-Fnaa and the Medina, which made getting around incredibly easy. I would definitely come back again without hesitation. Thank you Riad Mama! I can’t recommend Riad Mama enough this is hospitality at its finest. The rooftop view facing Koutoubia mosque.
PpixietreatsThe service is superb! We availed the airport pickup to get to the Riad easily. We arrived around 2100 but they waited for us to serve our dinner. Staff are very welcoming even if it is already late. They even arranged a breakfast pack as we are checking out early. Will definitely return! Special thanks to Ihmad!
BBellinisThe check-in process was good for customer service, but my room experience was terrible. I booked a superior suite, but I ended up with a regular room. I was informed that the person who was supposed to be in the room decided to stay another day. When I checked online, I found that the room was still available for reservation. The next day, when I asked to switch to my reserved room, I was told that it was booked again and that I should check back in line. Surprisingly, the same room was still available for reservation. I feel like they were scamming people by booking a suite at a higher price and then giving them a cheaper room.
The night crew member was very friendly and informed me that the manager was traveling. However, I don’t understand who is responsible for managing the website and ensuring that the correct room is posted when it’s available. I tried to contact them via phone and email, but nothing happened. I hope that Trip guide and the hotel will take responsibility for their actions and make sure that this doesn’t happen to other customers. I could have booked a different suite that had a similar aesthetic to what I was looking for, but I couldn’t even cancel the reservation. There should be a system in place for booking a specific room, and if the room is not available, the customer should receive an automatic refund. It’s their job to figure out when the room is available and what type of room it is. Additionally, the room had a bunch of knickknacks, and the table, wall, and bottom of the table were all chipped, cracked.
FFarahWe had the pleasure of staying at Riad Jibril during our visit to Marrakech, and what a delightful experience it was!
Our host, Iheb, truly deserves the title of a legend. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, he made our stay memorable. Whilr it may not be a 5-star hotel, it provided a unique and authentic Moroccan experience that exceeded our expectations.
The riad itself, with its traditional architecture, was clean and inviting. The highlight was undoubtedly the serene terrace, a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. One evening, we indulged in sheesha on the terrace, a delightful experience that only cost us around 70 MAD. We also had the pleasure of dining on the terrace, where we enjoyed delicious tagines at a very reasonable price of 60 MAD each. The chef's culinary skills were truly impressive. The breakfast served each morning was traditional and homely too!
What made our stay truly special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Iheb and the staff. We arrived as guests but left feeling like friends. We were even befriended by the two adorable resident kittens, Sofia, the long-haired tabby, and Leena, the ginger kitten. Their presence added an extra touch of charm to our stay.
The location of Riad Jibril was perfect, and the camel in front of the money exchange served as an excellent landmark. The riad was on the opposite alleyway, second door, making it easy to find. We especially enjoyed its proximity to Kasbah, near Zeitun Cafe, a favorite spot of ours to visit at night. The lantern-lit terrace at the cafe provided majestic views that made our evenings even more memorable.
GGuest UserThe hotel’s staff are friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for taking a train since it’s 5 minute’s walk from the train station. The breakfast is the best that we have had among the hotels we stayed in Morocco. We’re happy to recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit Marrakech and takes trains.
GGuest UserNice hotel, just a bit too loud next to the street.
Nice staff working there. Very friendly
Internationals welcome and friendly
I can recommend, just maybe ask a room that’s not on the street side.
BBharath kammila”We thoroughly enjoyed our 7-night stay at Marrakesh House! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
Pros:
- Peaceful nights
- Efficient heating
- Reliable hot water
- Immaculate room cleanliness
- Convenient transport links to Medina Center
- Helpful reception desk staff
- Delicious, simple breakfast
The team at Marrakesh House truly made our stay special. Thank you all for your warm hospitality! We wish you continued success and prosperity.
Humza is very humble in the reception, helped a lot by giving information
Highly recommended!”
GGuest UserWe didn’t have any issues there. In general the service is good even if there is nobody in the reception thus they give you your own keys of the main entrance and your room. As a suggestion it is needed a sign “Riad Nouhal” but anyway, if you follow the location on Google Maps, you will be in.
