4-Star Hotels in Shantou

This hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Zhujiang South Road Food Street. If you're heading to Nan'ao Island by public transport, bus 161A is about an 8-minute walk away. Tianshan Beef Hotpot is also within an 8-minute walk. Even going to Longyan South Road or the high-speed rail station, a taxi ride is only around 10 yuan. The front desk staff were very helpful and answered all my questions, even allowing me to have a late check-out until 1 PM. The room's cleanliness was decent. The facilities are up to the usual standard you'd expect from a Ji Hotel. But the best part was how quiet the room was (it didn't face the main street), which allowed me to get a great night's sleep. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shantou.

The air conditioning temperature was just right, not too cold or too hot, and it didn't blow directly on us. The room was super comfortable, clean, and elegant. The bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep in, and the service was excellent—warm and attentive! 👍

Kevin at the front desk was very welcoming, the environment was good, and the breakfast was great. I stayed for two consecutive days and it was excellent. I also recommend Sixi restaurant across the street, the food was good and the staff were all very friendly. ❤️

Parking at the hotel is convenient. Upon entering, the lobby made a great impression, feeling spacious and bright! The elevators were also convenient, but the hallway on our floor felt a bit stuffy. We booked a suite, which was very spacious, and the sofa in the living room was very comfortable. Now, let's talk about the downsides: housekeeping issues. We had to remind them to provide extra toilet paper and water. On a second occasion, we were short two towels and two bath towels, and the bath mat on the bathroom floor wasn't replaced. Moreover, the hotel surprisingly houses a KTV or perhaps a disco. The vibrating noise from it was incredibly noticeable on the 9th floor late at night. We stayed for three nights, and only on the second night was the sound slightly softer and ended a bit earlier. Especially on the third night, I couldn't help but call the front desk to complain. They said they would send security to intervene, but ultimately, there was no improvement. The partying went on from around 10 PM until roughly 2 AM, leaving my head throbbing from the noise. The hotel breakfast selection was limited, but the beef kway teow was delicious! What's more, there are plenty of good dining options within a two-kilometer radius, and they all taste great.

Traveling to Shantou with elderly parents and children, choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. It's located in the city center, with MixC nearby, making it convenient for the whole family to get around. The environment is elegant and quiet, and the public areas are spacious, which was comfortable for the elderly to rest in. The guest room facilities are well-equipped, and the room was clean and odor-free, ensuring a peaceful stay. The service was thoughtful and attentive to both the elderly and children. As always, I love Atour. The rooms are clean and odor-free, and the deep sleep mattress is incredibly comfortable, perfect for a good rest after a long journey. The hot water is consistent, and the toiletries have a luxurious scent. The front desk staff were welcoming, and check-in was efficient. Overall, it's quiet and pleasant, with a great cultural atmosphere, and excellent value for money. I highly recommend it. I booked two rooms, and both were upgraded – I was so happy I forgot to take many photos of the rooms. Atour is always my first choice for travel.

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. Our sea-view room offered a stunning panorama, and the location was super convenient for getting around. The smart facilities were easy to use, and breakfast was delicious. When my child got an upset stomach late at night and we needed to go to the hospital, the hotel provided incredibly thoughtful assistance.

This is my second time staying here in Shantou, and both times have been fantastic! The location is superb, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. The rooms are spacious and bright, with all the necessary toiletries provided. The service is thoughtful and meticulous, making for a perfect stay. It's definitely worth coming back. During this trip, I accidentally got injured, and the front desk sent a robot up with a band-aid – it was incredibly timely!

Excellent value for money, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The windows were sparkling clean, and the wooden floors in the room were so polished they reflected light. They were very generous when we asked for extra water bottles. The bathroom ventilation was also superb, and the mini-fridge actually worked well, unlike in some hotels where it's just for show. Definitely lives up to its reputation as a long-standing five-star hotel. However, it was quite inconvenient that food deliveries couldn't be brought up to the room and there was no robot delivery service; only medicine could be delivered.
