"This is my first time staying at the Atour 4.0 Jianye Hotel. I heard the price soared to over 4000 RMB during the Spring Festival (is that true?). Overall, I had a fantastic experience and was quite satisfied! Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons. Pros: ◦ The hotel seems to have opened at the end of 2025, so the facilities are brand new, and you can tell they’ve incorporated many new design concepts. ◦ The one-click deep sleep feature is amazing! The bedding (mattress, pillows) is incredibly comfortable. The two nights I slept here were the best sleep I’ve had in years! Even more comfortable than at home! ◦ The 'Zhuju' library in the lobby is captivating! The selection of books feels very tasteful, I absolutely loved it. I flipped through so many great books – literature, history, society, politics, mathematics, all kinds of genres. Most are renowned good books, unlike other bookstores or hotels that often feature mostly self-help or success-oriented books. The person who curated this selection is truly cultured. ◦ (The existence of 'one-click deep sleep' and 'Zhuju' alone makes me want to book Atour for all my future travels!) ◦ The room I stayed in was very spacious. The square-shaped room felt larger than the rectangular one my parents stayed in. ◦ The laundry room is big and very convenient. The washing machines dispense detergent automatically. ◦ The hair dryer is a Laifen, and it’s excellent! ◦ The front desk staff were very thoughtful and provided some guide maps and food recommendations, though we didn't end up using them much. Oh, and you can take as much water as you want. Cons: ◦ Parking is quite limited (only about a dozen spots?). If you can’t get one of the few spots right outside the hotel, getting in and out becomes inconvenient! This building seems to be a renovation of an old structure, not a new build specifically for an Atour hotel – hence no underground parking. When we arrived on the first day, it was quite early, and the surface parking next to the building was empty, so we got a spot with easy access. However, after dinner on the second day, when we returned to the hotel, there was only one parallel parking spot left in the entrance driveway – luckily, we managed to fit in. Otherwise, we would have had to go to the underground parking across the street, which would have been a long walk, and very inconvenient if we had luggage and it was raining. ◦ The gym equipment is not extensive (of course, it’s a high-end hotel, not a five-star luxury hotel, so expectations can’t be too high) – there are only treadmills, an elliptical, an exercise bike, a weight bench, and a few pairs of dumbbells. The dumbbells are 5-7.5-12.5-15kg, but surprisingly, there's no 10kg! That's really odd. = = ◦ There are many mosquitoes on the first floor, and even in the lobby."

"This is the greatest homestay experience we ever had. Check-in was seamless, and the staff was always available via WeChat. The amenities were complete and better than some hotels that may cost more. Aside from shampoo, lotion and makeup remover were also available. Housekeeping is also available. Staff asked us if we needed daily housekeeping, which we denied because we didn't need it. The homestay is located strategically on a street full of delicious food and it is next to a mall. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Overall, this homestay is highly recommended. Will come back if we return to this city."

"1. Insufficient mosquito control: The guest rooms and public areas are seriously infested with mosquitoes. Even though mosquito control measures have been taken, there are still many mosquitoes. We hope to strengthen mosquito control measures. 2. Catering quality needs to be improved: For a five-star hotel, the breakfast dishes are too simple, ordinary, and the taste is average. The dinner dishes are generally ordinary, especially the Southeast Asian dishes are lacking in taste and authenticity. There is a gap between the current service details (especially catering) and expectations. It is recommended to optimize the food to match consumers' expectations for cost-effectiveness. But the water park is still fun, and it is also convenient to give priority to this hotel."

"Meihao's thoughtful service really cured my travel fatigue! Upon arrival, I was offered a welcome tea, and the front desk proactively upgraded my room to one with a chaise lounge. The duvet and memory foam pillows in the room were incredibly comfortable. The ladies' exclusive makeup mirror and high-power hairdryer were such a nice touch for women. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station. The 24-hour gym has professional equipment, and the laundry room has a lounge area so you don't have to wait around. In the morning, I enjoyed a hot, freshly-made noodle soup at the open kitchen restaurant, and in the evening, I relaxed at the British-style bar. The value for money and overall experience far surpassed other hotels in the same price range!"

"The entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows faces the sea. The beauty can only be experienced in person. The hotel environment is elegant. After staying in so many hotels, Ma Yu Lan is definitely ranked first. The location on the small island by the sea brings too many surprises. The environment design inside the hotel is estimated to be enough to stay for a whole day without going out❤"
SHANTOU MAXHOTEL
"This was my first time visiting Chaoshan, and Shantou was our first stop. We stayed at the Manxi Hotel, which is conveniently located near Longyan South Food Street and has shared e-bikes nearby. I really have to praise the front desk staff – both the young lady and gentleman were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. We arrived around noon after an early flight, which was before check-in time. I asked the gentleman at the front desk for food recommendations, and he thoughtfully sent us a food guide he'd typed out himself, character by character! So we left our luggage at the hotel and headed to the food street. When we returned after eating, our room wasn't ready yet as the previous guests hadn't checked out. While we waited, I got several mosquito bites! The front desk lady then brought me mosquito repellent to use and even placed their own mosquito coils near us. I was so touched by their thoughtfulness 🥹. Once we checked into the room, it was incredibly spacious. The hotel had all the amenities you'd expect, and on top of that, they thoughtfully provided disposable toilet seat covers, disposable towels, and even conditioner. I have to complain about some 300-500 yuan hotels that offer very few disposable items and rarely conditioner. This hotel had everything, and the price was very good value for money. The toilet was smart, and the hairdryer was amazing – finally, not one of those difficult ones you have to keep pressing a button on! The room was also spotlessly clean with no strange odors. They even had mosquito repellent plugged in, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The double vanity with a huge smart mirror made for a super great experience. Originally, we only planned to stay one night in Shantou and then go to Chaozhou or Nanao Island. But because the hotel's service was so attentive and the stay was so pleasant, we decided to extend our stay for another night. Oh, I almost forgot! While we were waiting downstairs for our room, the front desk gentleman noticed we had been waiting for a while. After we checked in, he even ordered some local preserved fruit for us. I felt a bit embarrassed, but he was truly wonderful. Thank you for the fruit! The only thing I noticed was that I didn't see a comb (I didn't ask, I had my own 😁). Besides the fantastic stay at Manxi Hotel, the food in Shantou was also amazing. Having such a comfortable hotel stay definitely enhanced the overall experience. I slept incredibly well at night – I didn't even want to leave the bed! 😁 Overall, Manxi Hotel is clean and tidy, with smart rooms, and offers an incredibly great stay. Sisters visiting Shantou should definitely consider staying at Manxi near Longyan South Food Street – highly recommended!"
