The room was clean and dry, the facilities were well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The soundproofing was good, so it was very quiet at night, allowing for a good rest. All sorts of dining, entertainment, and shopping options are available nearby, making it very convenient to go out. The bathroom had stable water pressure, and all the amenities were complete. The overall environment is simple and comfortable, and the security also gave me peace of mind. The price is reasonable, and the experience was great. As a solo traveler, staying here felt safe and worry-free. I highly recommend it to friends visiting Shantou."

"I stayed during the off-season and had a great experience. The hotel-arranged tour guide turned into a private custom tour, offering very down-to-earth and professional explanations! In half a day, I got a wonderful feel for the ancient city's local customs and culture. The indoor environment was clean and tidy, the room had good lighting and ventilation, and the bedding was soft, so I slept very soundly. The staff were polite, attentive, and responded promptly. The location is convenient for getting around, and there's easy access to dining and shopping nearby. The bathroom facilities worked smoothly, and the hygiene details were well taken care of. "This was my first time visiting Chaoshan, starting from Jieyang to Chaozhou, then Shantou and Nan'ao Island. I stayed two nights at the Marriott initially. Later, I couldn't stand the accommodation on Nan'ao Island, so I quickly returned to the Shantou Marriott. I had exchanged WeChat contacts during my previous check-out, so when I went back, the lady there arranged everything perfectly for me. This time, returning to Chaoshan, I headed straight for the Shantou Marriott. Yuhas at the switchboard handled my arrangements, and it was impeccable as always. I arrived in Shenzhen yesterday, and I wouldn't have known I left my earrings at the hotel if Yuhas hadn't informed me. The meticulous attention to detail from the Marriott staff makes it a truly worthwhile choice ❤️"

"The past few days in Chaozhou have been scorching, with temperatures at 36°C and a 'feels like' temperature of 43°C – absolutely sweltering! The hotel thoughtfully provided an extra power card, so every time I returned drenched in sweat from exploring, the best part was being greeted by a blast of cold air and a chilled bottled water from the mini-fridge – pure bliss! The reception area also had a fridge stocked with plenty of complimentary bottled water, which was a very nice touch. Inside the room, there were some local Chaoshan snacks, which were quite tasty. When I inquired where to buy them, the hotel even had an auntie bring us more to sample – I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is only about 100 meters from Kaiyuan Temple, making it incredibly convenient to walk to attractions like the Ancient City, Guangji Bridge, and Xima Road. I even walked to Guangji Bridge three times in one day and didn't feel tired. There are also plenty of food options and souvenir shops nearby. The room was spotlessly clean, and the pillows were very comfortable. The lovely ladies at reception and the cleaning aunties were all very warm and provided excellent service. Because the heat was so unbearable, I decided last minute to have lunch at the snack shop right next door. I ordered Chaozhou braised platter rice and pig offal kway teow, and to my surprise, they were incredibly delicious – tasting just like traditional home-cooked Chaozhou food. The pig offal kway teow had a light flavor, and for only 15 yuan, it was packed with ingredients; adding black vinegar elevated the taste even further. This hotel is definitely worth recommending!"

"The location is super convenient! On the day I arrived, I passed by it on the way from the high-speed rail station to Vientiane City. I stayed here the day before going to Nanao Island and again after returning. Bus 105 is incredibly convenient! How convenient? I could see a notification that the bus was arriving in 1 minute, and still make it to the bus stop in time. There are many great food options nearby. I walked to Xingyun Longfenglou and Guibin Niu Beef Hotpot (both extremely popular places), and it took me less than 15 minutes. There are also lots of delivery options. I ordered pig's trotters rice and preserved fruit via delivery to my room, and the delivery person brought it upstairs, which is much faster than waiting for a robot. Service was excellent. My room was upgraded both days, and the bedding was the most comfortable I've experienced during my entire trip – I fell asleep so quickly! On the day of check-out, I had to catch an early high-speed train, which was outside their operating hours, but they still arranged a car for me. The experience was fantastic! They even gave me a souvenir when I left. Everything was so thoughtful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shantou!"
