Anonymous UserI seldom write negative reviews. Unfortunately, I have to do so this time. This hotel markets itself as 4-star, but 3.5-star is probably more appropriate. I booked a Family Room for 2 nights, and it felt like the family room hasn't been occupied for extended period. When we checked in, (1) TV was not working, (2) safe was faulty and couldn't be locked, (3) lamp by the bed was not working, (4) fridge was barely cold (staff explained that the power is weak. But the fridge was room temperature throughout our stay), and (5) the wardrobe door cannot be closed properly; the light from the wardrobe was kinda annoying at night when the lights were off. The family room has no window and the restroom has a musty smell. During our first night (April 2), we asked for an ice bucket at the reception - we collected it physically from a male staff who was on duty and who was visibly upset and was moderately shouting at guests who called the reception.
Overall, the location is great. Staff (esp Mr Thomas) tried their best to fix the problems in our room. I walked past the other rooms facing the city and they looked more pleasant than the family room. However, I would advise AGAINST booking the family room (which is the most expensive room type). Again, I don't think it's a 4-star hotel, though the staff are commendable. I think the management should do something to rectify this problem as there are several negative reviews on the same observations. Thank you.

RT TanLocation is superb - right behind the famous Viet trekking cafe, however, it's a steep walk up to the hotel and the road is extremely dark at night.
Amenities is below expectation - shower light went bust midway of shower, balcony door could NOT BE LOCKED, entry lights could NOT BE SWITCHED OFF so we slept with the lights on. I attempted to inform the front desk during check out but he wasn't paying much attention. (at least he did apologize)
Breakfast - 1st morning, we went in to restaurant on our own, no staff came to ask for room number or to sit us. 2nd morning was great, staff greeted us, sat us down and ask for our order, which we then realized we could have ordered eggs/mains from the staff.
Overall it was an OK stay due to the location, but definitely would not return.

Outstanding Service at Sapa Horizon Hotel
We had a truly pleasant stay at Sapa Horizon Hotel, thanks to the hotel’s excellent service and warm hospitality. Special recognition goes to Tom, who speaks fluent English and is extremely considerate and attentive to guests’ needs. He went out of his way to ensure our requests were well taken care of, making our stay comfortable and stress-free.
The breakfast was decent, offering a selected variety with thoughtful attention to guest preferences. Overall, the service level exceeded our expectations, and the staff’s genuine care made a real difference. One small area for improvement would be the shower water temperature at room 702, which was inconsistent during our stay. We hope the hotel can address this promptly.
Aside from this minor issue, everything else was excellent. We would highly recommend Sapa Horizon Hotel to anyone visiting Sapa and would gladly stay here again.

Though it's about a 15-minute drive from Sapa, the views are absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel is incredibly well-equipped. The breakfast here might just be the best I've tasted in Vietnam. The staff provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. I highly recommend it.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Sapa Passion Hotel and Spa. They say they aim to provide “a home away from home,” and they truly delivered on that promise.
From the moment we arrived in Sapa early in the morning, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early. After an overnight sleeper train, being able to rest a little before exploring Sapa was such a blessing. As soon as we entered the room, we were amazed by its spaciousness and cleanliness, and the clear view of the lake from our window was simply beautiful.
The receptionist also suggested several local activities for us, and although we couldn’t join due to the weather, we truly appreciated her thoughtful recommendations.
On our departure day, we took a night bus out of Sapa, and the hotel generously let us use their bathroom to freshen up before our journey. It made our departure so much more comfortable.
We felt genuinely cared for during our entire stay, and I sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sapa.

Ideal location, less than 100 meters to the lake. Clean rooms, friendly english speaking staff. And breakfast was good, though finishing at 9am is a little earlier than usual.

It’s quite far from the downtown area, and the road has a lot of steep slopes, so walking from the city center to the hotel is difficult.
However, it’s close to Cat Cat Village, making it easy to visit on foot, and you can even see part of the village from the hotel. ^^
I looked at all the hotels in Sapa with a swimming pool, and this one is definitely in the top three.
I also liked that they have shower facilities available after swimming or even after check-in/check-out.

Comfortable rooms with well prepared amenities.
Breakfast starts as early as 7am, can order from the menu too other than what were served. Very helpful and kind staffs, including Autumn and 2 very friendly guy staffs, who helped us to settle all the issues we encountered, helped buy fansipan tickets and helped to move our luggages. Thank you for the excellent service. Recommended for a stay in Sapa. Location is strategic too.
